Joyride & Sugar Will were only in heavy rotation on one tour (2004). I'd take another show from then, but they're trying to diversify the stuff they're giving us. Joyride also got played in 2006, but people would flip if a show from that year got released (I'd argue there are some good shows from that year, but i'm a minority). Then it made a one shot in 2011. And I really think there's far better shows and versions of Joyride that you can release from that. Sugar Will also shows up in 2008 and we have plenty stuff released from that year already. A Europe 2010 release would be fine, but you'd find plenty of bitching about the setlists (HEAVY bw)

What I'm arguing is that if you take a step back and look at it, there's perfectly good sound reasons as to why you're not getting more of those songs

and why box it all in the LT series? Its not the only format of full show releases that exist. DMBLive provides plenty of those goodies. You have a lot of Minarets (in its best years nonetheless) from that series.
I would really like to see more of the Caravan released because a lot of neat stuff got busted out.

Pumped for these 2 releases. Lots of gems here.

I think I am the ONE person on this entire website that likes this show. I lost it, but I used to have a great quality version of this show (if memory serves me correct it was near soundboard) and I loved listening to it. I have fond memories of that summer and the shows I went to that year so maybe that's why I like Stand Up.

I hear you! Most of today's shows are available in amazing quality within days.

How anyone can be disappointed about these two epic D&T shows being released is beyond my comprehension. I am more excited for these Live Trax than I ever have been!

Re: Live Trax 23 and 24 Announced!!

In the past I've always ordered the CD of a LiveTrax release, but I think this time around I'm going to just order the FLAC version. Is there any reason to pre-order if I'm just going to download the album?

I never really use CDs anymore, and I'd rather have the digital files and save on shipping costs.

No. Preordering a download is silly.

LT23 is a 3-disc release while LT24 is 2-disc.

Funny, I'm in the opposite situation. I always buy the digital album, but this time I pre-ordered both CDs.

Haha, what makes you want these CDs? I just feel like if I get the FLAC Lossless files I can just burn the CDs myself and save on shipping.

Re: Live Trax 23 and 24 Announced!!

It really should just be about epic moments. Both of these shows have/had epic moments. There are those nights - not nearly as many anymore that I've seen or heard - where the band is just that much better. These are the shows that bring you back not one, but 10 more times. These are the shows that need to be released. No matter if it's band, or D+T, ( and I agree a good D+F show would be welcomed). I've been to most of the SPAC, Hartford, Albany, Foxboro and Mansfield (and the two in Worcester 98) shows since 95. Lots of moments - but you know, the shows that are just a bit different. That 96 ( I think Cow Palace ) show that was on the radio -FM source still around but the tapers pull has all the songs - The LIOG where Dave sings during Boyds solo is a great example. I'm sure there are great moments like those in all sorts of shows from around the country I've never heard.

I still haven't decided if I'll even get 23 or 24, maybe not, they'll probably end up on my shelf after one listen like L@LC is doing. I mean, I never even bothered buying Live in Vegas.

Get both. It'll be worth it. LT24 might be better than Luther College, depending on the mix.

I absolutely would. D+T or those two, Boyd, Carter, Rashawn, Jeff, Fonz? Simple answer. Give me the full band.

The tape of that Blossom show has never seen the light of day. The only audio we have is from a guy who video taped it.

Re: Live Trax 23 and 24 Announced!!

I was away on a road trip when my friend called and told me about these being released. She told me the dates and i was fairly excited about the shows. She neglected to tell me they were D&T, however. When I finally got the chance to check them out and saw they were BOTH Dave & Tim I was absolutely floored! I'm so excited for both of these releases. Who wouldn't want to shows from right around the same era as Luther College (except for RSSR, apparently)?

IMO the management has gone far and beyond to give the old school fan and the newer fans everything they want. I hope Dave reads this and realizes what a bunch of spoiled assholes you all are

i don't know. the reaction to these releases, in my estimation, isn't anywhere close to negative. everybody seems to be pretty excited about them. some people expected and would rather have a dmb show. there's nothing wrong with that. it kind of seems like the "assholes" may be the ones who are freaking out when people state their preference.
someone saying they would rather have a full band release is not a negative reaction.
