DMB Live Setlist for iPhone Now Available    antsmarching.org Site News

Being a diehard DMB fan has its disadvantages. The constant need to know what is going on at all moments in the world of Dave Matthews Band. That craving, that itch. No, not that itch. The desire to know. We get that. That's why we came up with DMB Live Setlist.

DMB Live Setlist, now available in the iTunes App Store, satisfies those cravings. Band playing a show tonight? What have they played so far? Boom. DMB Live Setlist. Oh, they played a show last night? What did they play? DMB Live Setlist.

But what if you're in the middle of something on your iPhone or iPod Touch? Texting a friend? Listening to Pandora? Playing Bejeweled? You don't want to have to close out of your current app just to keep pace with the show, do you? Of course you don't. That's why DMB Live Setlist leverages the power of Push Notifications to alert you the instant a new song is being played. That's right; you'll be kept up to speed even when you don't have the app open!

DMB Live Setlist is currently available in the iTunes App Store for just $0.99. You can also find it in the App Store right on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

AntsLive Gets Twitter Upgrade    antsmarching.org Site News
Posted by Matthew Yette 2/1/10 1:17pm

AntsLive! provides Ants a way to share their concert experiences with the fanbase while the show is still going on. We have now expanded on the growing trend in social networking and tweaked AntsLive! to operate a little differently. Instead of texting in photos, videos, and text messages from the concert, all you have to do is tweet, and we'll take care of the rest!

With Twitter gaining so much in popularity, we decided to embrace the wave, rather than ask the fans to text experiences to a separate address. So many people are tweeting constantly during tailgates and the shows. With the new AntsLive!, once you link your Ants account to your Twitter name, AntsLive! will collect your tweets during the show and display them *live* during the concert on antsmarching.org [and other places, we hope. More on that "soon!"]

DMB Fails To Win Album Of The Year    TV Appearances
Posted by Jake Vigliotti 2/1/10 6:44am
Dave Matthews Band had a strong showing at The Grammy's, but failed in their effort to pick up Album Of The Year. Taylor Swift, who you may have learned from the 722 references to it, writes her own songs, won the "big" award for Album Of The Year. DMB also lost for "Best Rock Album". Both nominees were for Big Whiskey And The GrooGrux King.

... Or "GrooGroo" King, as presenter John Legend called the album. Clearly, the word is pronounced "Grew-Grux", considering it's a tribute to LeRoi Moore, who was referred to as "Grux" by friends. Regardless, DMB did receive high marks for their live performance of "You And Me", with an ensemble group accompanying their performance.

DMB Releases 5 Song EP for Haiti Relief    Album News
Posted by Joe Maliszeski 1/29/10 12:27pm

The Dave Matthews Band, in an initiative to assist in providing long-term support to the people of the earthquake-ravaged nation of Haiti, has established the Bama Works Haiti Relief Fund. A 5-song EP entitled The Haiti Relief Project as well as a new, limited edition T-shirt featuring album cover art will be available tomorrow with proceeds benefiting the relief fund. In addition, all proceeds from merchandise sales in the The Warehouse Store and The Official Store for 24 hours - from 12 noon ET on Friday, January 29th to 12 noon ET on Saturday January 30th - will go to the Relief Fund. The collection kicks off with "Butterfly," a solemn, yet uplifting version written for the film Because of Winn Dixie and performed solo by Dave. It's followed by a 2004 version of "Cry Freedom" featuring a powerful performance from LeRoi Moore. Three rousing songs captured on the band's 2009 summer tour - "Out Of My Hands," "Lying In The Hands Of God" and "Dive In" are also included.

Antsmarching.org was honored to input our ideas for the track listing and versions. We hope you like the songs. We're REALLY excited about them. Let us know what you think on the forums. We're sure you'll see Jake weigh in on details in the forums on the specific performances and their uniqueness.
