Butch Is Back/Gorge DVD Confirmed
Posted by Jake Vigliotti in Live Releases at 8:25pm on Wednesday, Nov 6th, 2002Butch Taylor will rejoin Dave Matthews Band on tour this winter. Taylor, who has played with the band on a consistent (but not every show) basis since 1998, will again be a special guest with DMB, according to lobe.com.
Lobe.com also has confirmed what everyone expected, the 2002 Gorge Run will be released as a DVD in 2003. The DVD is listed as a, "concert-documentary", according to the site. DMB famously asked fans to submit video recordings of their adventures to the greater George area for possible use in an upcoming venture.
If the Gorge DVD documentry is released in 2003, that would also fulfill DMB's commitment to RCA Records, leaving DMB with an option to re-sign with RCA, or pursue other options.
