TV Time for Dave

With the recent release of Some Devil, Dave Matthews is set to make a few TV appearances, as reported by rcarecords.com. The first comes on November 8th when Dave will appear as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live on NBC. Host of the show is set to be Andy Roddick, this years tennis US Open winner, according to usta.com. It is well known that Roddick and DMB are good friends as members of the band have appeared, a number of times over the last year, in Roddick's personal seats at tennis games (picture of Roddick along with Fenton and Dave at last years Masters Event). Also Roddick and Tinsley have teamed up in the past and held a tennis clinic for the top 75 players in New York. On the other side, Roddick has also been spotted at a number of DMB shows by Ants (see reviews of 8-8-02 in Cincinnati, location of last years Tennis Masters Event).

Dave is also set to appear on Letterman (CBS) December 18 (Thursday) and 19th (Friday). This is interesting considering Dave and Friends will be performing in CT on the 19th. Ants familiar with the Letterman taping schedule have reported that Friday shows are taped on Thursdays also. Those involved with the Letterman show, Paul Shaffer to be more specific, are great fans of the band also. Paul, on a number of occasions, has expressed his like for the band and also has played DMB songs as fill when going to and return from commercials.
