Tour Time brings Fun Time
Posted by Joe Maliszeski in antsmarching.org Site News at 4:00pm on Wednesday, Jun 16th, 2004Tomorrow the Dave Matthews Band kicks off its 47-date Summer 2004 Tour, beginning at the UMB Bank Pavilion in Missouri and closing out at USANA Amphitheatre in Utah. Once again with no album to officially support this year, the band is expected to dig deep into their catalogue of songs and also road test new material. This tour time is when the online community peaks and AM.org is here to help.
For all you "shot-callers" out there it's once again time for the Setlist Game. If you have never played in the Setlist Game and/or don't know what it is head over to the Setlist Game area and check it out. You may have the skill of picking setlists like the band. Earn bragging rights and win lots of prizes. And the only way to win isn't just having the best score. Naming the most openers correctly is one of many ways you can win.
For all you that love to find out about the nights setlist and what the band performed but can't make it to the AM.org website to check it out, sign up for AM.org's Mobile Setlist feature. If your phone/service supports text messaging, all you have to do is provide your wireless carrier as well as your phone number, and at the conclusion of each show, the setlist will be text messaged to your phone. To take advantage of this service, head over to Tour Central to sign up. Tour discussion will be taking place (and already has been taking place) in our added DMB Tour Discussion forum. And for those that trade or download recordings, Source Discussion will take place in our DMB Source Discussion forum. Find out when sources become available and thank the tapers.
And finally if you haven't already, check out AM.org's Windows Sticker. Show off your AM.org DMB community involvement and introduce other fans to the online community. And best of all they are only $1 and it goes to help keep AM.org alive.
The tour is sure to be a good one and the AM.org Staff would like to wish everyone a safe and fun summer concert series whether it's 1 show or 47 shows. Enjoy it and then come talk about it.
