Boyd Denies DMB Involvement In Chicago Incident
Posted by Jake Vigliotti in Legalese at 6:15am on Friday, Aug 27th, 2004The first member of DMB has commented about the waste incident in Chicago. Boyd Tinsley spoke to co-host and long time DMB fan Andrew Sicilano of The Tony Bruno Morning Extravaganza on August 26 about the charges filed in Illinois concerning the human waste meets tourists-on-a-boat incident on August 9. Boyd, a long time tennis fan, talked mainly about the sport, but did deny any DMB involvement in the waste dumping.
DMB plays Los Angeles (well - right outside it) on August 28 and 29.
Through sources close to the band, we have obtained a transcript of Boyd's interview. He states: “We’re pretty upset about that. It’s something that we don’t feel we’re responsible for. The driver in question says he didn’t do that, and we’re being accused of that. We’re cooperating with authorities, and we want to get to the bottom of this as much as anybody else. Chicago to us is probably one of the greatest places that we play. Everyone loves it there. Everyone loves the people there.” The source went on to say that the band has been more than cooperative throughout the situation, and even band members' DNA has been offered up to investigators.
