Additional Info On Roebuck, Fullerton, and Dave
Posted by Jake Vigliotti in Band Collaborators at 1:00pm on Saturday, Sep 18th, 2004For those interested in the early formation of Dave and his writings, there is another story talking about those early Days in Charlottesville.
In case you haven't seen the link on the boards, Dave McNair interviewed Mark Roebuck, co-writer of The Song That Jane Likes about Dave, and Haines Fullerton, who received a credit for #34. The full story is here, and works well with our story concerning Mark Roebuck and his contributions to The Song That Jane Likes.
Speaking of Mark, his new band, Big Circle, will have their CD release party September 24 at the Outback Lodge in Charlottesville, VA. The album features a song written by Fullerton (Sister Redemption) and covered by Big Circle. The album is fantasitc (in our view), and features Robebucks' strong song writing with great chords on all the songs. The album is in the mood of DMB in terms of quality, but certainly is its own sound. Of the incredibly upbeat album, the songs Heaven 11, Things May Change, and I'm the One stand out, and you could hear them on any radio station. If you're looking for the band equivalent, they have a similar sound to Freddy Jones Band, which is a pretty good band in their own right. The album will be available via The Deal website.
