DMB Stand Up to #1 Spot

The Dave Matthews Band's new album, Stand Up, has debuted at the #1 spot, making it the 4th consecutive album from the band to claim the top of the list (Stand Up-2005, Busted Stuff-2002, Everyday-2001, Before These Crowded Streets-1998). The album sold 465,000 copies during its first week, in comparison to 625,000 of Busted Stuff, 733,000 of Everyday, and 422,000 of Before These Crowded Streets. Stand Up debuted at #3 in Canada with 15,500 albums sold, and also debuted at #1 for internet albums. The album will be released internationally on May 23rd and May 30th.

And in other album news, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds - Live at Luther College, currently sits at #6 on Amazon.com's highest ranked albums.

UPDATE: In week two, the album slides to No. 4 on a 66% drop to 158,000 copies.
