Live at Red Rocks after more than 7 years

You may have thought this day would have never come but today an email announcement from the band has confirmed the 3-night stand from Friday September 9th to the 11th at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, geologically formed open-air amphitheatre, in Morrison, CO. The aphitheatre, which was built in 1947, holds about 9,400 which is about a third of the size of a typical summer date. The official confirmation comes after months of rampant speculation. As we were first to report, the Red Rocks return has been in the works since March.

From the announcement: "Dave Matthews Band has a special history with Red Rocks, headlining at the amphitheatre for the first time August 15, 1995. The outstanding show was made into a double live LP, Live at Red Rocks, and released in 1997. Dave Matthews Band played again at Red Rocks for two nights in early July 1997 and played their last Red Rocks shows in May of 1998, delivering 2 nights of exciting setlists. DMB looks forward to returning to one of their favorite venues after an 8-year hiatus!"

The public on-sale date is July 9th, while Warehouse members get first crack when the requesting period opens up June 23rd.
