Live Trax Vol. 4 Old School? Live Trax 11: SPAC Live Trax 12 - Old School Warehouse 5/8 And Live Trax 20 Announced The Live Album Is What... And When...? |
4.30.96 Live Trax A Go
Posted by Jake Vigliotti in Live Releases at 5:45am on Wednesday, Jul 20th, 2005After removing the link at Music Today on July 18, the good people at Red Light have put the link back up, and an email from The Warehouse 'officially' announces the release of 4.30.96 as the next Live Trax.
They wanted the honor of announcing the show, we presume.
In addition to the generic info provided in the Warehouse email - which lists the Jam as Jam (untitled) rather than the traditional "Richmond Jam" as it was known - this show was previously mixed for a potential live release.
4.30.96 was considered to be released instead of the first official live release, 8.15.95 (thanks to Rob for the info!). In fact, most of the older analog recordings of that show are the professionally mixed version (as opposed as the 2001 cd version of a taper recording). This would be similar to the 8.15.95 uncut version that surfaced a few years back.
Regardless, it is not known if the live release was simply plucked from a shelf or remastered (it was probably remastered). The pre-order email does not list a release date, but we'll presume September 2 is still the date.
UPDATE: Sometime after 5:46 am on 7/20, the good people of Red Light added in the release date as September 2, as we guessed. September 2 is the official release date.
