DMB/Batson back into studio in early 2006
Posted by Joe Maliszeski in Album News at 2:00pm on Tuesday, Aug 9th, 2005A recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine has Dave Matthews offering some new info on what the band will be doing come early 2006. That is, the band plans to go back into the studio in early 2006, news that will likely excite most DMB fans. Rumors on the message board have been circulating for awhile now but this is the first "official" mention of it. What additionally is known now is that Mark Batson, producer of Stand Up, will return with the band to the Haunted Hollow studio. Dave is quoted saying, "It's an ongoing relationship. We like the way he works, and he likes the way we work together, so I don't think it's even a question." The studio attitude in 2006 will be similar to that of the Stand Up Sessions according to Matthews, "I don't want to go in armed with a bunch of tunes -- I want to go in barefoot and unprepared."
