Stefan mentions, "After weeks of jamming, sampling, looping and recording, we have a huge body of ideas to work with. Even on the slowest of days, at least one new song has squeezed out." He talks about some of the instruments he has with him in the studio and how he would like to use his upright bass more often. He also notes how producer Mark Batson is pushing Dave Matthews to come up with 'hooks' early in the creative process.
From the fan questions part 2, Fonzy discusses his early years as a musician and tips for other fresh musicians. He also confirms that new songs will be road tested this year. "We are so exited about road-testing all these new songs and ideas that we've been working on. I can't wait to get some of these new songs under our fingers!"
Fonzy also finally answers the question many fans have had on their mind since the band was in the studio recording BTCS: 'Is the song "machead" real?' by responding "Some things should remain a mystery." Unfortunately though, it wasn't the answer we all wanted.
