Wrigley Hits "bump", But Not In Road? (updated)
Posted by Jake Vigliotti in Tour News at 6:00pm on Sunday, Feb 4th, 2007The long-set Wrigley Field shows scheduled for July may have hit a snag. And in a related story, Dave may have a new tax write-off.
According to the February 1 notes from The Lake View Citizens Council, a certain Mike Lufrano reported to the council that Dave Matthews' wife was "having a baby". The due-date obviously falls in July, hence the conflict with the alleged Wrigley dates.
Of course, no US tour dates have been announced by Red Light Mgmt. yet. The Wrigley dates were confirmed via The Chicago Tribune in December. This may not have any effect on a DMB summer tour. The band usually takes a few weeks off during the summer. This info has not been confirmed by DMB mgmt (yet).
UPDATE: The Cubs official website has since reported the shows will not be Dave Matthews Band. "The Dave Matthews Band will not be performing at Wrigley this summer. There's been no announcement as to a replacement. As soon as we get word, we'll post it."
