Two Shows Postponed Cancelled
Posted by Matthew Yette in Tour News at 9:50am on Monday, Aug 25th, 2008The Warehouse website has confirmed what has been widely expected, and announced that two shows this week will be postponed. From the site:
"Dave Matthews Band is postponing tonight's show at Raley Field in West Sacramento, CA and Wednesday's show at USANA Amphitheatre in West Valley, UT. We apologize for any inconvenience and we will announce more information on these two dates as soon as it becomes available."
LeRoi Moore's obituary in the Charlottesville Daily Progress notes that visiting hours will be held Tuesday afternoon, with the funeral taking place the following morning.
Although the newspaper mentioned the viewing hours, DMB management tells antsmarching.org that the family wished the affair to be private - for family and personal friends only. There is a future plan for something for the fans of the band, but this is not the more public plan.
09.05.08 Update: The official site has announced that these two shows will indeed be cancelled. From the site: "The Raley Field show in West Sacramento, CA, originally scheduled for August 25, 2008 and the USANA Amphitheatre show in West Valley City, UT, originally scheduled for August 27, 2008 have regretfully been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused anyone and appreciate everyone’s understanding during this difficult time. Refunds will be issued to all ticket holders at the point of purchase."
