DMB headlining July Festival in Portugal

The Dave Matthews Band will reprise their
5/25/2007 appearance (and Live Trax 10 release) in Lisbon, Portugal. Just announced, they will headline Saturday July 11, the third and final night of the
Optimus Alive! 09 festival. The festival takes place at Passeio Maritimo de Alges, right on the Tagus river. It's about 9 kilometers from Lisbon, Portugal's capital (or a little over 5 and a half miles for the non-metric folk). This festival falls just two weeks before another already announce festival in the U.S., the
10KLF on Saturday July 25th. Hit's hard to know what the band's summer touring plan is at this point with talk that they would begin in the U.S. in May, that still may be on or may have now changed. European Ants are hopeful this isn't just a one off festival and they may see more dates pop up across the area during the trip. Portugal is gradually building up a DMB (and Ants) fanbase with raves about the vociferous crowds at the last show. You might be surpised to know that more Ants attended the Portual show then any of the Australia, France, Italy or Germany shows.
