Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King Is Here

The wait is finally over; after a little over 4 years, The Dave Matthews Band latest album is here. Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King’s release has been one of the most anticipated albums by the DMB ever. The initial buzz, from a musical standpoint, began when a small video clip of Why I Am leaked, and received a positive reaction from fans. As the listening parties grew, more songs got more positive press, and the buzz roared.

Any thoughts of a disappointment because of the previously attempted songs being aborted quickly died after the First show of the Spring tour. The three new songs, Funny The Way It Is, Why I Am, and Spaceman all received positive reaction. In fact, all the songs are well received.

After the June 1 Beacon show, only a handfull of songs remain to be played. And live music is how this band is known. But how good is Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King? Well, we’re pretty pleased with it.
