Yukon Kornelius to play Vail
Posted by Jake Vigliotti in Band Side Projects at 9:42am on Saturday, Oct 31st, 2009Stefan's side project, Yukon Kornelius, will perform December 11 in Vail, CO, according to an email from The Warehouse. The performance, sponsored by theBud Light Concert Series, is part of the Vail's Snow Daze event.
Also performing are The Barenaked Ladies (which are neither) on December 12 - which feature Ed Robertson (also a YK member) and Robert Randolph and the Family Band on December 13. You can pre-order tickets via The Warehouse now, but in addition to that, they are giving away a great ski weekend package that includes a hotel, round trip airfare, ski tickets, and travel to and from the Denver airport. If you're not familiar with Yukon Kornelius, it is a side project featuring Stefan, the aforementioned Robertson of The Barenaked Ladies (which still are neither), Adam Gardner from Guster and drummer Eric Fawcett from N*E*R*D. The shows are fun, action packed shows made up of cover songs from the 70's and 80's mainly, and lucky for YK, their biggest fan is former Twisted Sister front man Dee Snyder. And he loves stopping by for shows and singing a few songs. So basically the shows bring the awesome.
