Dave And Tim This Weekend
Posted by Jake Vigliotti in Tour News at 9:32am on Friday, Nov 18th, 2011In case you forgot, Dave and Tim are playing in New York and Connecticut on the 18th and 19th, which quite possibly could be today if you're reading this in a timely fashion. The first show is the 18th in New York, and the 19th is in Connecticut (and don't forget about the pre-party!).
If you've never been to a Dave and Tim show, it's quite the chill atmosphere, or at least it tries to be. Far be it for me to tell you how to act in public, but basically you don't stand for the entire show, and since Dave has stories wound into the set list, so don't be "that guy" and scream "Play a song!" while Dave is telling a funny fable. Also, there are these little sheets of paper called "set lists" that the two come up with prior to a show, so you really don't need to scream "#41" between each song, they pretty much know what they're going to play. Other than that, have fun!
For Saturday, If you can't make it over to the Pre-Party at Westbrook Lobster, at the Oakdale, in the Xfinity Lounge, there is a pre-show buffett from 5:30-7. They'll have wings, sliders, a potato bar, etc. That cost is $30 and you can pick up advanced tickets here. The lounge is hosting an after-party as well (with beer specials!), so if you plan it right, you can hit both, or all 3 festivals, and the Dave and Tim show.
