President Obama Opens for Dave Matthews
Posted by Zack Rippy in Album News at 3:44am on Wednesday, Apr 25th, 2012President Barack Obama made his first appearance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" last night to warm up the crowd for the evening's main event - Dave Matthews' debut performance of "Mercy" from the band's forthcoming album. Dave performed the song with accompaniment from The Roots' Captain Kirk.
The acoustic performance offered the first real glimpse at anything from the as-yet untitled album, though the final product will likely sound quite different with the full DMB treatment. Producer Steve Lillywhite has stated on Twitter that "...it's not just acoustic on the album," and "it is not quiet on the album!" In case you missed the show, you can watch it here and then be sure to let us know what you think on the forum.
