DMB Sorry For Chicago Dumping

Through the Official Site, Dave Matthews Band has issued an apology for the dumping incident in Chicago in August. In a open letter, DMB expressed their, "deepest apologies to the passengers on the boat, the City of Chicago, our fans and those who have worked so hard to clean up the Chicago River".

The DMB does not, however, accept responsibility for the incident.

" We are not comfortable with the time it is taking us (to determine causation), and we have decided to take action now even though it may turn out the incident was not caused by one of our buses." The letter states.

The band has expressed the desire to "make things right for all concerned", and contacted the boat operator to determine who exactly was on the boat at the time of the dumping.

DMB suspended the bus driver in question, and also made a $50,000 donation to the Friends of the Chicago River and The Chicago Park District - fittingly with a request that the money be allocated to cleaning up the river.
