My first show, and quite an experience. Lawn seats. Rain. Beer. Awesome music. I unfortunately have not had the chance to attend another show since, but 2004 will be my year to play catch up!

On this day we met Boyd Tinsley.
The whole band was walking around Indy as we were. Coincidence kicked our asses. Dave jumped in a cab and waved.
The show was his revenge

Like it said it began to rain during two step, we camped out and the day was SOOOO hot, it cooled us down. The lighting in the background during the show was beautiful. Music was wonderful of course, the jam at the end of two step, unbelievable! "the storm is coming through"

Great show. It started raining so they came out for the encore and just ripped through an absolutely blistering version of Billies. Awesome.

This show was hands down the greatest DMB experience I have encountered. The show was really enjoyable up untill the closer. That's when it became unbeleivable! Me and a group of friends stayed at dead creek camp grounds where it had been near 100 degree's all day. There were rumors of severe thunderstorms heading our way but we couldn't see a cloud in the sky. They played Two step as the closer and during Dave's normal little intro that goes somewhere along the line of, "because the ship we're on is sinking" he switched it up to "the storm is coming through" he had an entire verse off the top of his head that I can't remember of the top of mine but it was great. I was in the grass seats for this show and from 2 or 3 songs before Two Step, we could see huge flashes of lighting as far as the eye could see but by the time they played two step it was real close. They made it through adn about a third of the way through the jam untill all of a sudden a huge gust of wind swept across the crowd. I am 6'5" and this gust of wind was so large it nearly knocked me off my feet. The temperature must have dropped 40 degree's or so it felt like. And as this happened, you could see everyone raise their arms in the air as if we were doing the wave. So basicaly you could see the path of the gust of wind. They finished up the song and left the stage and came back out for the encore wich was tripping billies and when they started playing that, it began to rain. And it was raining! There were reports of floods in some areas that's how hard it was raining. Unfortunately because of this they only encored with one song but I'm not complaining, it was amazing. If you have or ever come across a bootleg of this show, listen carefully during the jam of two step, you can hear the roar of the crowd from the gust of wind. All in all it was an amazing experience for me and that is why I had to write this long reveiw.

Well the rain came down. What a show. A lot of oldies and Sweet up & Down is a kick ass song. Warehouse with all the audience helping out.

This is the best Dave Matthews Band concert I've attended. Tremendous energy and great performances of every song. My wife and I had pretty good seats on the left side of the stage about 10 rows back. The song I still remember above all others is Recently. I was hoping it wasn't a 3-minute version as I had heard in the past several times. This time, it kept going and going -- I believe this was a ‘Pretty Girl ending’ version. The crowd (including me) was in frenzy when this song ended. This show turned out to be rare performance of “Sweet Up and Down”. I really enjoy this song and hope it makes a comeback at some point in the future. Hearing Bartender for the first time with the band was memorable. The wind picked up, a storm started rolling in, and Boyd Tinsley started playing Two Step. The band was looking at one another, talking, and shaking their heads in agreement. Apparently they decided to make this a really awesome performance of Two Step. Thunder and lightning in the distance and getting closer. Mother Nature really added to this song. It was a complete downpour by the end of the song and no one was leaving! There was quite a party going on in the lawn and the band didn't wait too long before returning to unleash one last song: Tripping Billies. I'm guessing they only played one song because of the weather, but they made that one song worth it. My wife and I were completely soaked when we go back to the car. We weren't going anywhere because of traffic. The windows completely fogged over due to our completely wet clothing. I wish every show could be just like this one but I realize I can't expect this from every show. So just attend multiple really good shows and hope for a really great one every now and then.

I remember watching 'heat' lighting in the far off background as the sun began to set. The whole time I was totally lost in the music and mother nature. As darkness fell the show rocked on. Then at the end of the concert the skies opened up. I remember it pouring down rain and dave singing trippin billies and thinking to myself, this is officially a religious experience.

Best DMB show for me - The way the storm synced up with Roi's horn intro on Two Step will remain unforgettable. Also, this is where the Warehouse Woo's got their start. Historic.

Unbelievable storms!!! It felt like the end of the world had come when they started playing "Raven" and the lighting/rain/wind continued right through "Two Step." Unreal! Really magical moments during an incredible show!!! :)

This is quite possibly the best DMB show I've ever been to. It began to thunder and lightening while they played Two Step and it totally set the mood for the song. Then the band came back for the encore and the minute they hit the first notes of Tripping Billies it started pouring. It rained the whole song and no one cared! Everyone was dancing around, getting wet, and loving it. I'll never forget it!

Another great show! They played Sweet Up and Down again!!! Too bad they don't play this song anymore . . . maybe it'll come back again someday. Digging A Ditch was SWEET! They ended up closing the set with Two Step. It started getting pretty nasty out and right when Boyd started strumming his violin at the beginning of Two Step it started lightening and thundering. It was AWESOME! When they came back out for the encore . . . it started POURING as soon as they started playing Tripping Billies. It was so great! Everybody was going nuts and dancing in the rain. I wish I could relive that moment . . .

My 2nd DMB show. By far the greatest concert I have ever been to in my life!!!! With the lightning in the sky, clouds rolling, and wind blowing there was truely an electric feel in the air. It was a once in a lifetime experience watching Two Step with the storm rolling in. It began to slowly rain during Two Step and while the band went behind stage before the encore it really started to downpour. Tripping Billies was amazing! Not a person left and no one was disappointed. It was only a 6 minute encore but it was powerful and mind blowing. An amazing experience that will never be forgotten by anyone there.

Forever to be known as "The Lightning Concert"
The setlist wasnt the most striking, but what was were the flashes of lightning in the distance all around Deer Creek for the entire show.
At the end of the first set, the storm blew in... and Dave... during the end of the intro to Two Step changed the final lyric to "and the storm is coming".... Almost on cue the storm hits, the rain falls, Two Step kicks in, and this concert blows in the legend.
If you talk to anyone who has been at the concert, youll know it, because they cant help but to talk about... an experience indeed.
*** for the music
**** for the experience
