great show, drove a really long way, from Western Ma, with as little brake-power in my little blue car, as you'd have on a big-wheel. George Jr, fellow ANT, was in the back-seat keepin em lit. We had such high expectations for the road trip, and then...great show both sitting by the river the previous night, and great show 10 rows back with Hornsby, and the other opener(s), then a great show by DMB full of new jams, "I just got a wiff, just got a woft of some kind right there, thank you very much" DJM, whether or not im proud of it, myself and Gig Jr were responsible for that comment. Then that ENCORE>>> This was my first bad feeling ever about DMB!!! I still love them but cmon.

Most amazing first DMB show experience. Classic Tour, and First show.

It is because of this show and experience with parking (you know what I'm talking about if you were there) that I don't go to any more stadium shows of any kind. Weather was bad and because of the seat situation, we couldn't get into the show that much... Even before the encore, we were headed for the buses.

Best view of the stage I've ever had and the show was sweet! Lots of rain, mud and an occasional crowd surfer. I can remember it like it was yesterday Dave wore a green sweater if I'm not mistaken! There were kegs of beer on the sidelines for about two songs (until they sold out). Went w/ a couple of close friens. One who died the following week @ the age of 18 while watching a movie with his girl.

2nd DMB show!
Loved Bruce Hornsby!
Remember being packed near the stage like a sardine before even the first act went on!

first show of the tour...good times...if only i could be that age (and irresponsible) again...i think it rained a bit that day but that always just makes a dave show that much better...also lost a couple million brain cells at va tech that weekend...gotta do it again sometime!

Rainy Day but a good opener to the summer. Bruce Hornsby was really cool to see live. Dude can really play the piano. All offsite parking is the worst. Took 2.5 hours to get to car at Roanoke Civic Center

Met Dave with friends from college SRU of PA and we were staying at the Double Tree Hotel and Dave, Stefan, and Roi were in the hotel lounge. Also the first show of the BTCS album.

One of my first shows, still one of my favorites. What a day, in the rain to boot. Bruce Hornsby opening was nice, a real Virginia treat.

You had to ride a bus to get to the stadium on a cold and wet day! The sound wasn't the best but the show was incredible!

One of the best. It got quiet at parts but that's only because everyone was hearing the BTCS songs for the first time. Unbelievable experience. And it rained, but it was still great.

This was my first DMB concert and I had a blast despite the fact that it was freezing cold and raining. This was just prior to "Before These Crowded Streets" was released and most people there didn't realize the classics that were being established at the time.

Traveled a long way for this benefit concert. Of course, many songs were played here for the first time ever, so it was well worth the trip. A cold rainy day could not damper spirits, especially this crowd which was one of the rowdiest DMB crowd's I've ever seen. The Stone and Crush stand out in my mind at this show. Hearing those two for the first time live w/out any prior recordings was a real treat.

The show as pretty awesome, but I remember the group of people there being pretty miserable. They were throwing things, mud, bottles, etc. And, it was a miserable rainy day. I was disappointed in the people, but impressed by the band...as always

Drove down from DC to see the concert. A long, cold miserable day but loved the concert... it was a great experience. I can still feel the ice cold bleacher seats. Bruce Hornsby was awesome, a great treat. Sound quality was pretty bad but it was great to hear the new songs for the first time before they were released. Still my favorite concert.

My first DMB show...and what an incredible day. Looking at the setlist you would have to say it was one of the all-time best...JIMI THING: Can you believe my first DMB song was Jimi, amazing...SATELLITE: Short and sweet, I loved it...PNP->RAPUNZEL: You wouldn't believe how fast this song used to be. I like it better now, but it was still great...STAY: Dave really screwed up lyrics on this one, you could tell he was nervous...TWO STEP: Remember the days where Two Step came in the middle of sets and not as a closer or opener. Classic...CRUSH: I was blown away by this song. It also had the only "Miss You" at the end...LIE IN OUR GRAVES: Yeah, buddy! Great great great!...THE STONE: This song was good. Really dark. They let it play out rather than the explosive ending they do now...THE LAST STOP: My favorite new tune at the time after I heard this! So much power and force in this song. Everybody just stood in awe...TYPICAL SITUATION: Little did I know I was hearing a song that would soon fall into the shadows. I was dancing like mad...PIG: Yeehaw! I loved it. Clever little song...TOO MUCH: Everyone went nuts! Always haas a lot of energy...DON'T DRINK THE WATER: Had to get it, it was the new single. I still love the end of that song...TRIPPING BILLIES: A great way to end my first DMB set. CRASH INTO ME: Dixie Chicken included. Let all the lovers hold each other for four minutes. SO MUCH TO SAY: A little weird in retrospect for this song to close. I guess Dave saw that it wasn't the greatest closer early on because he only used it a few shows. He let the crowd sing the final "Little Baby" part.

It was a decent show overall. But since most of the songs were from an album that hadn't even been released yet, the crowd was a little disappointed.

THAT JIMI THING OPENER WAS SICK AND BY FAR THE SICKEST JIMI THING OR OPENER I HAVE EVER SEEN AT ALL FOR THAT MATTER AND I'M WRITING THIS IN 2005 AFTER APPX. 25 SHOWS. THE CROWD WAS CRAZY (GENERAL ADMISSION FOR EVERYONE) THIS MAKES THINGS HECTIC IN A STADIUM.
