Great stuff. I caught the soundcheck from up behind the venue. "Drive in Drive Out" Brand new tune. Hot Stuff.
This was the first show when I noticed the band slowing up....maybe shooting for a 'larger sound'. Saw Universal the week before which was absolutely Colossal. This was my sixth show of the year. Quite a run for the ol' Dave Matthews Band.
For the record.....They opened with Proudest Monkey...I remember because we we're counting on the standard 'Seek-Up' opener for a friend...they came out with the new tune & we were like.... what the hell is this?
Good time, good times....never would have guessed what happened next.

This was the first DMB show. I remember how impressed I was with "that violinist." ;)
