This show has an interesting story. I flew into Chicago and took my 12 YO daughter to this show. We had great seats and she was blown away by the experience. Pig was the highlight of this show, for me.

Another Great Night for the Band

Review:
Most loud and energized crowd I have ever been a part of. Memories include Dave in Boyd's shades during an amzing Jimi Thing; a power packed DIDO; a What You Are that turned me into a fan of that song live, and an Ants Marching to close the set that blew the roof off of the Arena. A spur of the moment Watchtower (Billies was on the org. setlist) to close the show was the first one of the '02 tour.

The Holy Pilgrimage, part four of four. Not too shabby of a show, even better when considered one half of the greater whole (alongside 4-26). Oh yeah, and Dave wore Boyd's glasses. I saw it, cause I was there. :)

Best DMB show i've ever been to! we went with some of our friends, who are suckers, and had to sit behind the stage while pj and i basked in full dmb glory in front of the stage.

Kind of a ballad-heavy, hit-factory show compared to the previous night, but still solid. I was starting to really love Space Between at this point and Jimi was really a rousing version, but after that it got pretty predictable. Still feels like the tail end of the last great era of DMB.

I was in section 112, Row L, Seat 21.....I remember very little about this concert, other than I had nothing bad to say about it. I do remember that it was the first time I had heard the speedier version of Pig. I was caught off-guard, but I really liked it. It, of course, has been played like that since, and probably was like that long before I heard it. Great show, also with my girlfriend. She had just moved to Chicago to go to grad school and I came to visit her and see the show. Dave's always been facilitator of my relationship with my girlfriend, and getting us in the same place to see one of their shows was just another way of helping the two of us along.

It was a crappy rainy day but the fact that we were staying with Justin & Amy at the Raddison was a great plus. We got out there about 2:30-3:00 and started to party and hang out at the pool & in the sauna. The fun continued when some cool people were handing out copies of the July shows at Soldier Field while we were walking in to the Horizon. I get tired of people bum rapping shows as "radio shows" because they play songs like DDTW & Crash. We need more songs about Native Americans and sex, it is just that simple. Anyway, DDTW was great, I dig it when Dave gets all crazy at the end. #41 was a very welcomed suprise, I thought the show couldn't keep going up, but was wrong. Crash is good, but Crash with Dixie Chicken is great. Warehouse was awesome. DIDO and Jimi blew me away. The words of Pig are so inspirational & really get me thinking everytime I hear them. Don't burn the day, says it all. Grace was beautiful. After hearing Ants at alot of shows & not wanting to hear it for awhile, I was back looking forward to hearing it & was not disappointed, excellent version. Certain songs are always on my wish list no matter how far fetched, and since they hadn't played Watchtower since last July, I thought it was pretty far fetched. I was knocked out & amazed by it. I would have to give this show an A. The post show slipping on the wet stairs & having my friends threatened with jail if they didn't go to a the farthest hospital from the Horizon for bruises was drag, especially since we were staying at the Raddison. I had terrible acid reflux hiccups and had to drive all over freakin' creation to Gottleib Hospital to spring them. By the time we got back to the hotel it was about 3:30 and I was just plain tired and pissed. I hate the Rosemont Cops who pulled that little trick on us. But the show was great.

Since this was only my second DMB show I am a little leary about saying this but here goes.........This was the best concert I have ever been to in my whole life!!!! The band broke it down tonight and the results were amazing. I will never forget the small dance routine that Dave and Boyd did when Boyd's glasses fell off. It is forever etched in my mind. The crowd was amazing and loud which fueled the bands energy even more. I will never forget this night!!!!

It was raining all day and was about 50 degrees. We ate a 50's themed restaurant nearby because Chili's (I think, Maybe Applebees Who cares?) was to busy. I never thought DDTW was a great opener until this night. The crowd was so loud and into it right from the start. Great to hear #41 again. No Everyday outro. The crowd turned on their lighters in Crash. The crowd did the woo-ing in the intro to Warehouse. The highlight of the evening was Jimi Thing. During Boyd's first solo his sunglasses fell of and Dave picked em up and started dancing. The jam was extremely funky and original. This version MUST be heard. Pig was great to hear, I don't remember when but someone threw a stuffed pig on to the stage... Lover Lay Down was nice and long. Crowd really got into What Would You Say. We heard this on the radio on the way to the show! So Right was very nice. At the show, I thought it segued into Ants but after listening to the CDs it didn't. Carter played an extended Drum intro to allow Dave to switch from electric to his acoustic. Ants was very energetic and the crowd was so LOUD! Boyd was allowed to solo for an extended time. Long encore break. Where are You Going was good to cool off after Ants. IMMEDIATELY after WAYG ended Stefan started his bass solo for Watchtower, the first of the tour at the time. Butch had an "electric guitar" solo. I can't say enough that it was LOUD as hell. All around good show.

I felt bad because I took a true Dave Fan friend to the first night's show and then her sister (not a huge music buff in general) to this show--and this show blew me away. I hope my friend realizes what she experienced (although I kept screaming at her again and again "OMG--you have NO idea how AMAZING this is!!!"). I'm also one of those crazy dancing people--it just takes me over--and I totally remember this crazy dancing guy next to me. He was there alone and was just totally feeling the groove. It reminded me why I keep going to these shows.
