Great show. Mellow at first, but they picked up the energy and played a wonderful concert. Dave danced like crazy at the end of Thank You...never seen anything like it out of him before!

HANNI, HANNI, COME AND DANCE WITH ME!!!!!!!! I Killed my FROG with this part, D&F show was The closest i've ever been in losing my VOICE, Hard to pick the highlight of the night, NANCIES, my favorite song,THE MAKER, first time on this tour, The Covers, the DANCING, man, what an unbelievable nite, i really hope and will pray for D&F 2 in the future. THANK YOU TO ALL THE REAL FANS,some of them lost in the 300 section, while people next to me (section 101) was wasting the good seats by warming their ass...on their seat, that the WH should give to the real DMB fans. THE ENCORE WAS A+.

Amazing. Truly amazing. This may have been the best Dave concert I'd ever been to. The only thing keeping it from being tops was the fact that it was Dave and Friends, not DMB. Still, I was glowing for about a week afterwards. Fantastic.

AMAZING!!! It was the 12th dave show I have been to and probably one of the top two. The crowd in LA SUCKS and the acoustics left much to be desired. Yet, I have never seen such energy from Dave on stage. I cant wait until summer and hopefully round 2 next year.

Unfuckinbelievable! Dave was out of control! The crowd i was around was terrible, they all sat down and yelled at us for smoking pot! Fuckin LA crowd. Nevertheless, i danced my heart ot and so did Dave. Unforgetable Everyday and Too High.

Dave and Tim were amazing. Didn't really care for Emmy Lou, but hey some people drink, some people don't, some people think, other's they won't...right? This concert gave me a new perspective on Dave and his deep, dark issues. My favorite parts from the show were when Dave tried to sing 'Some Devil' and apologized for the frog in his throat, 'Everyday' rocked, and him jamming to that Led Zeppelin cover was freaking cool as hell. Took my girlfriend to her first Dave Matthews show and now she is completely hooked! I beleive when we got home, which was around 2 AM, she logged onto the Warehouse and became an official member of the fan club. Show rocked!!!

The show was amazing! It was my first Dave Matthews show and I loved every minute of it! Highlights for me were "Gravedigger" (my favorite!), "Stay or Leave" and "Some Devil". Despite Dave's appologies before "Some Devil", his performance was wonderful - so moving! The man is scary-talented! Now I look forward to seeing DMB!

I concur with most folks. The Staples crowd was at best weak, but the show was awesome. One of the highlights was the guy singing Dancing Nancies while sliding down the railing in Section 210 without falling or spilling the brew. hats off!!

Okay, I flew out to LA from Indianapolis to see this show with my sister (who lives in Santa Barbara) for her birthday. And I tried to be optimistic and appreciate the crowd because, for the first time in my 24 shows, I could actually HEAR what Dave was saying. But that means that it's because the crowd wasn't very pumped. Oh well....I did finally get a good vibe from everyone during "Thank You" and it was really nice for everyone to be so quiet while we were ALL singing #36/Everyday...wow. Those two things were definitely the highlights of the show. They made the Staples Center feel so small! Very nice. Also, DANIEL LANOIS?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That was a fantastic surprise! I LOVE The Maker and to be able to have him come out and perform it w/Dave...? Wow. That's all I can say... Overall, it unfortunately isn't in my top shows (although D&F's 3+ hour Chicago show is in my top 3!!), but it was a different-in-a-good-way experience. Still love my Midwest crowd & shows better though...

This was my 7th show, and I loved it. I was not familiar with all of the songs, but you couldn't help but dance. The encore was insane! The crowd singing the #36 outro after Everday, and Dave dancing near the end of Thank You are memories that will last a lifetime! I can't wait for the summer!

Even though my seats were far from wonderful, and the venue paled in comparison to the Great Western Forum (I hate indoor arenas anyway), this show was amazing. Dave and Tim were tight... totally in a groove. And seeing Trey play with them was quite a treat.

I have been a Dave fan for years but have never gotten to see a show he never comes near where i live. So this was my first and i was completly blown away. He is so much better live and one of the very best preformers i have ever seen by far. I about died when i heard the piano intro into Stay or Leave. It makes me so freaken mad the Staples Center won't let anyone record in there. They're freaken gay.

Review:
Amazing show. Emmylou started things off right around 7:00. She had a few technical problems two or three songs in. Near the end she brought out Trey to play on "Deeper Well" (I think). Dave and Tim came out around 8:10. Really short set, nothing amazing, but the ability to see Dave and Tim in LA for the first time since '99 was something else. Dave made a few comments about dressing up because its LA. Funny stuff. No set break, Trey comes out and less than a minute later starts off the intro. The rest off the band joins in and they go into Dodo. The next few songs had amazing energy, especially Solsbury Hill and Save Me. Emmylou then came out to do Oh Sister. Then, after she was done. she remained on stage and the roadie brought out another mic. Then Dave said the next song was a song he and Emmy liked to do and they were honored to share the stage with the person who wrote it. Then they introduced Daniel Lanois. The energy on the Maker was amazing, with Dave and Daniel trading verses with Emmy doing the backing vocals. Much different from the DMB version. Lanois stayed out and played the lap steel guitar for SDL. Interesting arrangements, but nothingmind blowing. After the guests, Dave quieted everyone down to do Some Devil. Before starting, he said, "I got a frog in my throat, but fuck it its rock and roll. If I don't hit the notes I want to, you'll know by the exprssion on my face." About 2 minutes later, we saw the expression he was talking about. Dave got enermous applause for the song. American Tune next. Too High into Hey Bulldog to end the show with Buddy coming out for the end of Too High into Bulldog. Amazing encore. Words can't describe.

Uh-Maze-Ing! Never thought that the D&F show would be the best Dave show i had been to....but it was - hands down! Great Guests, great covers - amazing energy from Dave and the audience alike. From his dancing WITHOUT his guitar, to Tim playing with his teeth - I cannot pick the best highlight!

boo hiss. never again will i go to the staples center for anything besides sports. so the tickets we had werent great (my poopy ex bought them with no knowledge of the venue), the acoustics were ass, and we were surrounded by a lot of young kids who werent there to listen to the music, just there to party, be loud, and get up and down to pee and get beer every 5 mintues. The music, from what I heard, was fabulous... but i could barely hear it. alas, as ashamed as I am, I left the show early... to know that dave & friends were playing in front of me and not being able to hear or see them was torture. boo hiss..

This show was awesome! Dave;s enegry level was off the charts. Trey and Tim are vituosos, and together it was absolutley ridiculous. The rythm section was great, and the set list, as you can see for yourself, almost brought tears to my eyes...DAVE AND FRIENDS 2 please!
