Great Show, Bartender & OSW , and Everyday were highlights for me. Didn't like Rapunzel as closer, could have been Two Step or 41 or LIOG, but overall very glad I went. Have a great summer all :)

The boys played a solid show tonight, you could tell they wanted to make there one trip to Canada special, and they did! Dave playing watchtower with Keller was great because nobody even fucking noticed. Highlights were Bartender, Song That Jane Likes, Jimi Thing, Too Much, Everyday/#36 and Rapunzel! Now for the crowd, shut the fuck up during solo's and just because it's a new song doesn't give you permission to talk, shut up! And for the organization at the Molson Amphitheatre, AWFUL!!! I would also like to send a big FUCK YOU to the security at the front of the lawn ecspecially to the BITCH with the Dreadlocks who was more concerned with dancing and hitting on guys then she was with doing her job, i didn't drive 3 and a half hours and pay $60 bucks to watch you dance in front of me all night! But that had nothing to do with DMB who reminded me again why they are THE GREATEST BAND ON EARTH! Thanks for another great show, BEST JIMI THING EVER!!!!

The Toronto show was an amazing show, had such a blast there. This was when the were playing 4 new songs like Hello Again, Joy Ride, etc. and of course they were awesome. Opened with Warehouse WOW that was the best opener ever, got the croud going right from the start. Loved Everyday "Hani Hani". Good times.

Review:
First three songs were great. Warehouse as an opener is fantastic. Granny, always great. Crush, always great. When the World Ends...my least favorite song, but you're not gonna get all the ones you love. The new songs were all pretty solid, the lyrics are beginning to have more permanence to them and that's a good thing. They seem to be evolving well. I can't say that I'm a huge fan of any of them specifically, but I'm hoping they'll grow on me. Song That Jane Likes was a first for me, VERY happy to hear that, especially with the "I have a little sister..." intro. I'll echo the statements that Everyday/Jimi Thing were the highlights. Jimi Thing had a very nice scat outro and a great jam. The "Hani Hani's" went on forever in Everyday...crowd did really well with them. I was a little disappointed that Everyday was the set closer, even though it was great. I think everyone hopes to hear a Billies/Two Step/Ants Marching type song, but it was still a great show. The encore was a little on the weaker end, but all in all a very solid show...aside from the girl behind me who would NOT stop yelling "Long Black Veil" in the most annoying voice ever.

Out of control...didn't like the seats too much (was hoping for a better view of Carter)and wasn't the setlist I would have chose (ha), but it was my first DMB concert and I'll never forget it. "Warehouse" made the show for me.

Fantastic New Song, "Joyride" was awesome, flowed through 4 songs leading up to "where are you going". Lap bass before grace is gone was off the hook

Fucking Rocked. Lots of energy and Dave was trippin on the near full moon over Lake Ontario!! Loved the new songs and Dave's crazy new scat during Jimi Thing where he is singing to some imaginary head in his hand. Dave also said "For some reason I feel a lot safer everytime we come up here". A real political feel to the show! Great venue and very relaxed atmosphere. My second fave show after the Sex Machine romp with James Brown at MSG in Dec 2002.

Wow..what an amazing show! I loved Warehouse as an opener and Crush was really awesome. It was awesome becuase Stefan was playing around and everyone around me was like what is this, is it one of the new songs, then all of a sudden he played the intro to Crush and everyone started cheering.. Jimi Thing was absolutely amazing, I loved every second of it and I don't generally like JT as a song. Dave's scatting was awesome, as was his dancing during Rapunzel. Carter was so amazing, he had so much energy and was just playing is heart out. They jammed at the end of every song and when they had finished thier jam, Dave always went back to congratulate Carter...it was amazing...

the show was awesome, DMB rocked the house!!! one sweet world was done beautifully...i'll admit i was so happy that it almost made me cry! i thoroughly enjoyed how the band got to interact with the thousands of fans during warehouse and everyday...that was a lot of fun! and the version of jimi thing blew me away when dave came with that freestyle skat session. AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!! that's all i have to say about the concert...thank you DMB for coming back to toronto!!! Oh yeah...Watchtower with Dave and Kellar was great!

pretty solid show...Bartender was a given after they soundchecked it at Blossom and then didnt play it at Blossom...I would give a better review of the show if i hadent attended Blossom the night before but most of the same tunes were played and Dave didnt show as much energy tonight as he did in Blossom...still not a bad show...ALTHOUGH..a big fuck u to all those in section 304 and 305 near me for sitting down 1/2 of the show..every new song people were sitting down until a song they knew came on..give the tunes a chance biatches...

Just got finished ordering my 2 big Molsons and the two big freaking hot dogs when I hear Dave join Keller on stage - I swallowed those dogs like Linda Lovelace and made it to my seats just in time to see the end of their duet.... fuck! Flew up from Texas and was worth every penny - Toronto is beautiful and this was a special night - great weather and cool to see Dave in another country..

Driving up to Toronto I receive a phone call from a good good friend in Utah. "Charlie I might be able to get you front row." he says to me. Not buying too much into it, I start spitting out some Warehouse information and such, and sure enough, upon arrival there were 2 Front Row Center tickets waiting for me at the amphitheatre, at no cost! So I give my friends my tix to result in an upgrade for everyone. At this point I was so excited and anxious I couldn't stop trembling. When they came out, I was literally 8 feet away from them. Leroi said hi to me as I was screaming and Dave glanced at me a few times. The show was great. Seeing Dave's actions so close during Jimi Thing was incomparable to anything I've ever heard or seen. Bartender was as moving as I could hope it to be. I was captivated the whole time, never moving to make a bathroom or beer run! Only regret is again I brought a girl who was NOT deserving of an experience like this. But much thanks to my boy Pitt Pa!

After an exceptionally long lineup to enter the amphitheatre I was treated to a very decent show. The setlist was a little predictable but stellar versions of Jimi Thing and Everyday more than compensated. The new songs seem to have developed already with Sugar Will possibly faring the best this night. All four new ones were received well and I wouldn't be surprised to see Hello Again opening shows soon. All in all it was a great time as always.

I've now seen 5 shows from DMB...and this in my mind was the best to date...sorry I missed Keller Williams...especially since I have read that Dave came out and played AATW with him...I still can't stop listening to Jimi Thing...that was unbelievable...Since this concert, everytime I pick up my guitar, it somehow finds it's way to Dave...I've learned Granny, Crush and Everyday since....

Wow, lots of nice treats at this show and lots of unreleased material. We got a granny to start things off after warehouse and then a crush, that everyone thought was sugar will with stefan's solo intro. OSW, a great version of everyday. I coulda swore i heard the crowd do a two step chant for at least 5 seconds before they broke into everyday. I love the lap steel intro to grace is gone. The new songs sounded good too. Jimi thing was f'n ridiculous. Possibly one of the best versions I've ever heard. STJL was a nice treat and the first bartender of the tour. Great show!

I think my expectations of this show were a little unrealistic, considering last year's Toronto show, but none the less I was left with quite the memorable experience. Bartender was definetly the highlight of the show, with Dave the most energetic vocally I have ever seen him, and Jimi Thing was very strong, complete with the Central Park outro, which really got the fans into it. A big shout out to the losers in sections 304 through 305 who just sat or left during the new songs, or during the Bartender jam.

I came all the way from Scotland to see this show. This band are just so tight and creative. They looked as though they had fun tonight despite not really communicating at all with the crowd. Word of advice Dave....talk and introduce your new tunes!

"You know, I feel alot safer up here in Canada."-David J. Matthews June 30th, 2004....whatta guy..highlights included, Jimi Thing, Song Jane Likes, Hello Again had a Two Step like feel, i liked it. Kickin' off my 4-show stint this summer, this was a great show. Opened with Warehouse, got the energy flowin', and followed that with Granny - very nice. Then a nice little funky jam for a while with Crush. Awesome. The boys debuted 4 songs this summer, Hello Again, Crazy-Easy, Sugar Will and Joy Ride; road-testing and improving them for the new album (so anxious!) I like them all, but I'd have to say either Joy Ride or Hello Again are my faves, especially since in Hello Again, there's a perfect opportunity for Carter to solo - which he took advantage of more and more with each show! They've brought back STJL in strong force, and it sounds soooooooo good. They ended with Too Much and Everyday, leaving the crowd chanting the #36 chorus. The encore wasn't that bad (most ppl didn't like it), since it was GIG and PNP/Rapunzel, but I liked it. Maybe not as an encore, but what can you do? Great show overall.

one sweet world!!!!!!! Best song ever!! opening act was sick, especially watchtower. The setlist was solid, although it was missing an uptempo song like ants or billies. New songs were unreal, I can't believe that so many people didn't like them. An overall amazing show! Wasn't lovin the $12 beer, but it was worth it.

Great show.. darien lake last year was better, but still a quality show. All the new songs are sick live.. i've been listening to them progress of the last frew shows, and they were sweet. They've really grown on me. I new it was crush right when stefan started doing the little solo at the beginning b/c he's been doing that for the past couple of show they've played crush. Jimi thing really stood out from this show.. but other then that.. Everyday as a closer was allright, and having literally the whole crowd singing "hani hani, come and dance with me" was sweet. Grace is Gone is always sick, but we didn't get that new extended country sorta ending.. I was hoping for a recently or bowa, but maybe next show... *fingers crossed* btw.. don't know if anyone caught it but during butch's first solo, which i think was during bartender, he plays the rift for "If i only had a brain" (wizard of oz) and carter caught it and started laughing.. i started laughing too but no one around me caught it.. just wait until the show gets released...

Wow! This was my fourth show, and I must say, it was amazing! It keeps getting harder and harder to decide which one is the best! This is certainly up there though! Brilliant right from the start. Keller and Dave playing Watchtower together got it off to an amazing start, and Keller's whole set was so good that as soon as it was over, I headed straight for the merch tent to get his CD! Now, Warehouse as an opener just kicked my ass all over the place! Great version! Then Granny, also great and then Crush, also great! I thought they were gonna close the set with Too Much, but then they just went right into Everyday! That was brilliant! There are some other songs I would've rather heard than WAYG, WTWE, RAR, and GIG; like JTR and Hmmm? (Thing), but on the whole everything was bloody amazing! So yeah, I LOVED this show, and thanks to the groove, I'm listening to it right now! Great quality, Mr. Taper, if you're reading this!

This show was flat-out amazing. Jimi Thing is one of the best things I've ever heard the band do - the whole audience was going crazy during Dave's scat. Joy Ride was awesome, the boys were in good spirits and it was a great night.

Awesome show....nothing better than starting with keller doing watchtower. warehouse to open kicked ass, granny was incredible, jams on crush were right on. not a fan of when the world ends, but you can't have everything. all the new songs rock. dave was wailing hard on bartender, stefan with the lapsteel before grace is gone was incredible. when i heard the beginning of rapunzel i was a little dissapointed, but after leaving i think it was one of the best encores ever. nothing better than dave dancin like a madman for the last number. can't wait to see them again

Extremely tight show! My first show was at Ralph Wilson in '01 and the band has changed for the better in my opinion since then. This show reminds me of the older ones I've heard. It was so good to be there and the energy in my section [which I snuck into] was incredible. Keep up the good work and I'm so thankful that the "lovely ladies" are no longer a staple in the performance.

What can I say about this concert, compared to the other 2 I have been to in TO it was good but not great. There were some small highlights that made it worthwhile. ie Dave breaking down in his good ol' southern manner! :) Love the dancing at the encore too during Rapunzel. And as a crowd I thought we all did a great sing along for Everyday! Looking forward to the enxt 2 concerts I have planned....I only hope the girl next to me won't look like she was dragged along by her boyfriend and would really rather be somewhere else.

Great opener, warehouse rocked! Jimi was hypnotic with the scatting - which he did in his head before he ever let it out (I was in the front and I watched his face, wicked cool). Coulda lived without WAYG but ehin *shrugs*. Joyride gave me a whole new appreciation for it. Great to hear Song That Janes Likes. Nice. Bartender totally suprized me and it kicked ass!! Encore of PNP--->Rapunzel was shocker too but it was amazing, they really pumped it out! Great show.
