Pretty awesome...lately I have been slightly disgruntled about the Dave Shows (although the Central park show was amazing by the sheer number of fans there), but this was a great reminder of why I love Dave so much!

Dave and the whole band are sounding extremely tight this tour! The new music sounds great, and the whole band seems to be having a ball. This is #26 since December, '98.

This is the first time i've seen DMB twice on the same tour, and I picked the wrong year because they are just playing the smae songs over and over this year. Missed the opener thanks to long lines at the Meadows. Highlights were The Stone/Crush double whammy, Carter's solo on Hello Again, and the encore was pretty cool too.

Worst part of this show was the will call line right before. We missed the first 4 songs! Great seats, great crowd, great set. WWYS into Tripping for an encore? Amazing. Looking for an even better follow-up tonight!

Awesome show last night, they didn't miss a beat all night. BOWA solid opener, satellite was a nice varity and i agree with the rest of yall def. a proudest monkey tease. DIDO was kickin, and Everyday was nice to hear as a closer. Finaly heard the new stuff, which rocked, Joy Ride and Hello Again my favorites. WWYS and Billies as encore was rediculous the crowd went nuts. DMB was on fire, can't wait for tomorrow

First night was awesome. This was part of my wife and my honeymoon. She wanted the beach, I wanted to see DMB. So a few days at the beach, then to CT. for 2 days. A great venue to see them at if you've never been. Just don't get annoyed with the "Yankee's Suck" chant from all the Red Sox fans in the area.

"Hey my friend/It seems your eyes are troubled/Care to share your times with me..." with those words The Dave Matthews Band opened a two night stand at Hartford's ctnow.com Meadows Music Centre. The mood was right and the audience was grooving to the sounds of music from the very start. Dave opened with Best of What's Around, and it got the crowd to it's feet and dancing. Dave's selection of One Sweet World and Granny were smart choices in the set, however seems odly familiar to previous set selections. Dave did spice things up mid set by breaking out Satellite for the first time all year. Also like in previous shows this tour, Dave was sure to include his four new songs this tour, Crazy-Easy, Joyride, Sugar Will, and Hello Again. These songs were well played tonight and were a real treat for veteran fans who sought out to hear new material. Dave closed the show with an excellent performance of Everyday. Boyd, Carter, and the rest of them sang backup to the #36 lyrics that were sang by the crowd. This tour Everyday has become a real highlight in shows for this reason. All in all, Dave Matthews Band had a stellar performance tonight at the Meadows and only more excitement can be felt for the next night's set.

I will never attend anouther Meadows concert again. Seating tickets are sometimes not easy to come by so i happy to at least be there on the lawn. Mmm yea..no. For one i dident get in there untill 10:45 because of the lovely will call line. When i did get to the lawn i was shocked to see how many people were there, i mean it seemed to be oversold at least 5 times. During Drive in drive out a teenie bopper decded to loose her lunch all over my pants..i love those kids who go to dave shows to get drunk...all in all a great night i would say.

Oh My God!!! Best Dave show i have ever seen at the Meadows or at all for that matter. Excellent mix, new songs are awesome can't wait for a new cd. Definitly a good good time. One problem is Dave hardly talked at all. He said "Hello Thank You" after every song and that's it. But the show was great and i wish i was going to the second show.

I loved the opener, and then OWS and Granny, and even crazy easy. But I wasnt's into the show until the Stone. That, followed by Crush, got me back into it and then there was no turning back from there. I called DIDO and loved it. A good encore to end it with. Not my best show, but then again, nothing will ever beat 3/19/03.

I drove up from Jersey with my friend Pete, it took us almost 5 hours b/c traffic was crazy; an ex who I hadn't seen in 2 years was there, my CT friends hadn't gotten me a room, so we didn't know where we were going to stay. Then Pete and I had to stand in the will call line for-ev-er, with some crazy girl who was with our group, but who we'd just met. When we finally got our tickets, the show had already started and we couldn't find our friends, so Crazygirl literally dragged me by the hand through the lawn, screaming her head off for them. It was the first and LAST time I ever wore a skirt to a show, and of course, I wound up falling on my ass on the muddy lawn as Crazy Girl was pulling me up the hill. Mud soaked through all the way to my skin, I had to throw my skirt and undies away and buy--get this--a DMB concert SKIRT from one of the vendors(really, Vendors, you can't sell some DMB shorts or something?) I spent 20 minutes in the bathroom washing the mud off my ass with those rough, economy-type paper towels, all the while missing "BOWA," "OSW" and "Granny"--three of my favorites.
The point of my story is that this was shaping up to be the worst show of my life. I was in a pissy mood for the majority of the show. By then Pete and I had ditched Crazygirl and were down by the railing, as I was ready to make a break for it as soon as the show was over....But when they started to play Tripping Billies....it was like Dave was saying to me, "Girl, remember what you're here for." Everyone around us went nuts. Two people near us started to do-si-do. Pete and I just grinned at each other and proceeded to dance our goddamn asses off....

To this day, it's the best concert moment of my entire life. :)

Amazing show! One of the best I've heard out of the 9 I've been to. The setlist was real chill, which I was down for. Finally got BOWA. This was the song that got it all started for me back in 94-95. I couldn't stop listening to it back then. I definitely caught Proudest Monkey tease. Did anyone else notice Dave strumming Tears In Heaven before WWYS? I'm 99.9% convinced he was strumming that. I almost thought he was going to play it as a "quiet" song. Also, I went nuts when I heard the short Nature intro to Tripping Billies.

This show was really interesting its my 3rd DMB show and as usual i was in awe, as i am anytime i get to see DMB..BUT i couldnt believe that he played new material..it sounded awesome but i was dissappointed because i was hoping to catch more of his older stuff. Also, i felt that in comparison to the other concerts i had been too he tended to play softer songs..still it was amazing although my fav concert was last year 8.31.03 at the meadows..absolutely fantastic if anyone has that recorded let me know thankss

Review:
The show was excellent tonight with a set list that didn't have a tired song (e.g. I Did It) in it. They busted out Satellite for the first time this tour and sounded like they've been playing it all tour. Carter was his usual out-of-this-world self tonight. During the last encore, Tripping Billies, his bass drums thumped so forcefully that it felt like it reset my heart beat. Many people have at least heard the new songs already, and tonight's audience was more into them than I've seen so far this tour. I think all of the new songs will become staples for years to come. Sugar Will, which some people have dissed in previous reviews, has some dissonant features but gets downright funky during Roi's and Butch's soloes in the second half. But Carter is my man in the band, and he adds unstoppable rhythm to most DMB songs. See y'all tomorrow!

Ok BOWA into One Sweet World into Granny cannot get much better than that....hopefully saturday's show will be even better. And hopefully he won't play bartender again....sorry for any fans of the song but it's getting old, I've just heard that played far too much lately.

Yet another amazing show by the DMB. Just hearing Best of What's Around was awesome because it did set the mood for the whole night. A few classics like Satellite, One Sweet World, Tripping Billies, Bartender, What Would You Say, Drive in Drive Out and Crush were just well played all around. The Bartender though was out of control. As Dave belted out the "Bended Knees" scream, the crowd seemed to join with him as one mass voice seemed to shake the drums of these ears at least. Billies was simply an amazing closer that really followed 2 seconds after What Would You Say. Never had I heard a WWYS straight into Billies and it completely made me jump up and down, literally. See all who are coming tonight also.

Excellent show. A pretty laid-back vibe, with great performances, good energy, and an interesting setlist. Satellite sounded beautiful, Dave's voice was impeccable. The show was filled with highlights for me, despite the many repeats from the Tweeter shows the week before. I agree there was a Proudest Monkey tease, and I'm pretty sure Dave was teasing Seek Up before the set began with BOWA. We can hope...

The second best show I have seen. The band was on fire and you could tell everyone was excited!! Set list was great, we had good seats inside it was fun and we wish we had a few more shows to attend of this tour. Dave seemed pretty relaxed. The next night and even made up a funny song about the rancid smell that would ocationally take over the Venue. The Meadows staff kinda sucked, and really were jerks when it was time to leave the venue.. oh well.. Thank you DMB!!!

I tripped on liquid acid before I went into this show. I didn't hallucinate or nothing but just felt intense energy with every note the band played. I couldn't stop dancing the entire time, kind of in a trance. I remember Dave and Stefan pumping their fists to the crowd when they came out, psyching everyone up, I never had seen them do that before. The setlist I can't really remember- but I feel like they played Drive In Drive Out. Stay too I think. I was just ecstatic the whole time. Pushed past a security guard to get into the pavillion, no one would stand in my way of seeing the boys this night.

This was my last show of the summer, after two SPAC shows and Darien, and I can say that this was hands down the worst concert I saw this summer. Don't say it's because I've heard the same songs, but both SPACs and Darien had a lot more energy, variation of moods, and overall jams. When BOWA started, I thought the night was going to be incredible, but it ended up being not so great. The high points were the BOWA opener, the Carter solo on Hello Again, and the end of Billies. Low points were Everyday as a closer (ewwww not any energy in section 100) Grace is Gone, One Sweet World the fourth time I've seen it in five DMB shows, and WAYG. Don't get me wrong, it was a good show, but nothing compared to what I had seen before. I was sixth row and that is something I'll remember forever, it's just too bad that the boys couldn't have put out a better night one. I bet night two blows Hartford away, but I won't be there (live in Central New York and only could make night one).

Bartender - just when I needed a break from seeing this one live - the band nearly had me in tears with this version. Is this normal? Should a 26 yr old man be so moved by a song? Ehhhh, I guess it's alright. In any case - this was probably one of the most emotional renditions of Bartender I've seen. Sure, he always blows it up, but there was something different about it this time around. Maybe it was just me. Hello Again - great version for two reasons: a) he messes around before the song begins and sings something that almost sounds like the melody from the very beginning of Greyblue Eyes; and b) Carter throws down HARD at the end. You really need to download this show, seriously - do it. Everyday was one of the better tunes and a nice one to take you into the encore break. And yes, of course they worked in some #36. The encore was one of the best I've seen. I know, you're looking at those songs and thinking, wha??? Again, the energy my friend. These guys were intent on playing their hearts out. WWYS got it's swagger back and the Tripping was unbelieveable. Not that it means jack, but Dave broke a string. Don't you love when he does that? And he doesn't just break a string like the rest of us, where it snaps at the head or in the neck. The man plays so hard that the string (nut and all) rips out from the base of his guitar and starts swinging around to the beat of the music like a live wire. I'm telling you, there are few things in life that are as sweet as this. I just read that last sentence again - I really need to prioritize my life.
