Was one of the highlights of my Bonnaroo experience, cant put into words how awesome that was. Dave and Trey lit it up, solsbury hill, Cripple Creek, Waste and Bathtub Gin really showcased by enviroment. Cant beat 100,000 people all singing along to bathtub gin louder than the PA

What a way to kick off Bonnarooooooo! Tim went nuts on the electric, Dave was dancing like crazy. Different than any Dave show I've seen. A lot of funk influence, Jimi Hendrix cover and of course Dave and Trey were incredible...Bathtub Gin, Waste, Everyday. Wow!

I have to say that being really f'ing high with dave was one of the best experiences of my life. The weekend was awesome and even the rain, mud, and sunburn couldn't keep us all from having an amazing time. I agree that the setlist wasn't anything special (although "thing" was incredible and that version of nancies almost made me pee my pants), but I've never "felt" a dave set like that before. Dave's energy kept us all going strong. "Oh" made me cry, yeah I'm a sap, get over it. But damn, that was amazing.

I love Dave. I have to say that I love him more when he plays with the Band. Solsbury Hill was great, so was stay or leave. But it seemed like Tim and Trey had a problem with eachother. It was weird. We waited for an encore that never appeared. Thankfully we caught Kings of Leon and Damien Rice. They made up for it!

Awesome show. But it was a slow start, they had dificulities through the whole show, the crew F-ed up. Most of the songs either had a mic or guitar that wasn't turned on, and Dave was always telling the guys on the sound board to turn up the volume. But otherwise it was a great show.

Dave Matthews in my hometown. Awesome doesn't begin to describe it. I was 20 feet from Dave...dead center. Trey and the rest were nice, but Dave and Timmy brought it home. Tim was amazing and played the coolest guitar solo I have ever heard...EVER!!! Dave's voice added to the mellow atmosphere of the whole event. Dave was the reason I bought a ticket. I pray that Dave will make this an annual stop.

Considering I spent half this show in line for a beer, I definitely enjoyed about half of this show. Good Good Time was easily the highlight; we just figured 'hey, it's Bonnaroo, freeform jam out of nowhere, hell yes'. But nowhere near as good as the '03 tour.

The set was decent at best. Nothing special about the set, your typical D+F show. Correction. Nancies. OMG, Timmy went ape shit on Nancies!! Dave & Trey doing waste was also very cool. ED was sung and played differently. Bathtub Gin was cool w/ the crowd singing along. THE BOTTOM LING: if you saw D+F during their tour, then ya didn't miss anything but a sweet version of D+T singing Nancis.

I toughed it out all by myself at this show...my friends were......God knows where... Still enjoyed every bit of it. Because I was roaming single, it was easier for me to get a little closer. Some rare/new songs and Dave's usual 120% energy was so sweet. I'm going to make this my annual trip! (I hope Dave will too!)

This was our first bonnaroo and we made it to the 3rd row an hour before Wilco came on. Just left of center Jeff and the band were awsome. then A below average Bob performance (he needs to take advice from Mellencamp and learn how to play guitar again) Then it was time for the Highlight of Bonnaroo.... Even my Obnoxious drunk brother in law (sorry to all the great people from wisconson that had to endure his behavior) could not put a damper on the performance of dave and friends. its a show I will play in my head forever. and I cant wait to get a copy to share with others.

Well, Well, Well... Bonnaroo!!!! This show was kick-ass among the other shows this past weekend. The Dead, SCI, Priums, LOS, Robert Randolph, even Steve Winwood (an old fart) had that place jumping. But above all, and as a guitar player, I can appreciate Tim Reynolds playing the guitar with his teeth as the coolest thing I saw all weekdend. At one point he put his guitar strings-down on the stage and walked backstage with the feedback blaring (I'm sure it's easy to point out on the recording).. the nancies may have been the 2nd best I've ever seen (the 1st being Dave and Tim at Boone, NC last year.) Trey was really posturing his voice to hit the falsetto harmonies, and he and dave had it right on a few times. The phish covers rocked, and the jams were fun. The 2nd half of the show was surely superior. But nothing is better than orchestra Guyute.

I had a great time at this event. Dave was my favorite artist at the event. My highlight was when Trey was out and the audience kept on singing the words to bathtub gin. It was one of the few times I really felt like I was one with the band. I also enjoyed the fact that I got to see a fun show by Bob Dylan as I ditched my friend who did not want to be right next to the stage during the Dave show. That was the closest I have ever been at a real show. What a great festival.

User: jazzdrummer420

This was the best show of my life. I saw the dead, string cheese, bob dylan... and dave was by far the best. I've been to other dave shows and I've wanted to see him and tim together but there is no way you can top dave, tim, and trey. The acoustic version of bathtub gin kicked ass too. I sat there for three hours befor the show so that I could be as close as possible and still be able to see. And was not disappointed. Oh yeah and dave looked sexy as hell ~ as usual

Bonnarooooooo.....now that was a damn good time. Nancies was f'ing incredible!!!!!!!! Seeing Trey and Tim and Dave play together is an experience everyone NEEDS to have. Was a little disapointed that Dave cut the set short.....but I heard from a photographer workin the festival that is was cuz he got wasted with Trey before they went on, so he had to stop. Haha I guess I can let that slide....

ehhhh.....this was a lot of fun...but i've seen better. something happened to dave's IEM at the beginning and he said fuck it, so the lyrics kept getting messed up. thus, his energy wasn't as intense as it was throughout the rest of the tour. still a good show, but i'm glad it's not the only d&f show i saw..

My girlfriend and I were really close to the stage. They rocked out Bonnaroo, and it made the whole trip well worth it. It was great to see Dave and Trey play Waste. I don't think the festival heads appreciated Dave as a musician until this point.

Review:
The show was so awesome. I was blown away. The setlist wasn't even thatgreat, but the energy Dave and the Friends put forth was great. During the Hendrix Cover, FIRE, Trey yelled "let Timmy take over" instead of Jimi. Then Timmy played the guitar with his teeth just like Hendrix. At two different points during the show, Dave got up and danced around the stage and pointed to the crowd as we all cheered as loud as we posablly could. I was in the very front row for the encore and in the second row of people for the rest of the show. I was short white kid with shaggy hair wearing a Rastafari hat if anybody remembers seeing me. The absolute highlight of the show for me was Dancing Nancies with just Dave and Tim. It was not only the greatest version I've ever heard at a concert, it was the greatest version I'd ever heard, period. This show was the highlight of the festival for me and I thank Dave and all the Friends for a great show.

This was the first time I ever saw Dave perform and the only time I saw Dave and Friends. I missed the beginning because my friends weren't that interested until I convinced them to go. We got there right before the Up On Cripple Creek cover which I was delighted about because I love that song. It was definitely the highlight for me. I didn't know that much about Dave or any of the friends for that matter so I wasn't that into some of the other stuff they played. Even so, it was still a fun taste of what was to come (especially Dancing Nancies).

Well, this is half glass syndrome. On one hand, Dave had a lot of fun at this show...he seems incredibly relaxed playing with "Friends." Trey seemed to defer a lot of guitar highlights to Tim, who didn't disappointment. He will play a lot of atmospheric type pieces, and then show he can work the fret frantically when he wants. On the other hand, the band had a problem getting in sync, so the jams didn't work very well. The crowd was not the usual Dave fanatics, so it didn't react as expected, such as failing to bring the "Hani Hani" chorus to "Everyday". I enjoyed myself, but was disappointed that the band wasn't able to win the skeptics over at this show. Between the two D&F shows I've seen, I'd get a recording of Rochester 12/20/03. That was a little sloppy at times, but energetic fun and had some nice jams.

Awesome show!!! My first Dave and Friends show; I heard from some friends who did D&F tour that the set at 'Roo actually was kinda shaky, but it didn't feel that way to me. And I love Some Devil; glad I got to see so much of that album performed live here. I was up close; about 10 people back from the stage, under the "b" in the "bonnaroo" sign hanging over the stage. Whenever I think of Bonnaroo, any year, I think of the image in my head when all the lights came on in the middle of "Fire," when Trey said, "Move over, rover, and let Timmy take over..." I wasn't on anything at all, but I looked to my right, and everyone was jumping up at the same time, except it wasn't up and down, it was like a wave. I was standing in the middle of a wave of people. And then Tim did a solo with his teeth. I'll never forget it. Plus the Bathtub Gin singalong! And during the intro to Thank You, Dave took off his guitar and danced up a storm! I had no idea he could dance like that, he's even more awesome now! I wish I had a video of that. Very, very good times.

This show was absolutley unreal. After sitting in awful heat and traffic for hours upon hours, this show made all the worries fall away. The $180 we spent for tickets was worth this show alone. I can not describe what happened Friday night. It was so much different from a DMB show, but outside of those boys this was hands down the greatest concert I have ever seen, and I have seen a shit ton. The rest of the weekend was so kick ass despite the rain and what not. If any of yall considered going to Bonnaroo but didn't, please promise yourself that you will next your.
