This was a great show, seeing as it was the tour that had Stand Up released. I really enjoyed a great portion of the songs, and my dad got me down even closer to the stage. My original seat was in 203, but i was able to get to section 104. And it was a great show. From here on in, I was hooked on Dave Matthews Band.

The Concert itself was a blast and a half. The opening act Jurassic Five however, did not put me the DMB mood, not my style. The weather was chilly and wet, giving it a true concert feeling. The chronic was blazing and the tunes sounded sweet. DMB=Hereo

Hearing the soundcheck was cool. Hearing the first versions of Smooth Rider and ODH was cool, but not that exciting. The crowd and venue at Chicago are not good. This show did contain the best versions of Grey Street(post BS) and Warehouse that i've seen/heard. The set was below average and so was the show.

Good show,
Solid set, but a weak crowd made for an enjoyable evening but nothing spectacular.
The new songs are great live, hope Bayou and AB stay aroun, nice solid songs with lots of room for improv. Watchtower was unexpected for the end, and was very interesting toi hear the fire screams at the end, i think it adds to the song.

This show was unbelievable....They played a lot of stand up which was really played well live. It was a little wet out on the lawn but when dave came on stage it was all worth it. Carter was killer on the drum solo in Hello Again. I really wanted to hear Watchtower and it was hands down the best Warehouse ever! Trippin' Billies was the best surprise of the night as a solid finisher. I wish he woulda played #41 or Two Step but that might have been too much to ask for!

It was a good show.....he played a little too much Stand Up songs. I understand that the tour was meant to advertize the new songs, and he succeeded well with songs like DreamGirl, Lou Bayou, American Baby Intro, and Hunger for the Great Light. 50% of the songs played is a little too much though.

What a way to kick off the 2005 tour! The new songs sounded good, with Hello Again sounding as good as ever. Warehouse was by far the highlight of the night. It was the greatest DMB concert moment I have ever experienced through seven shows. Crash, Grey Street, and Lover Lay Down were all great as well. Tripping Billies was a great closer. Another highlight was the amount of talking Dave did...by far the most I've witnessed at a DMB concert. He seemed really happy to be in Chicago and at one point it sounded like he said "I love the taste of Chicago" again but it was unclear.

Wow, what a show. I knew we were going to hear some new songs but this setlist was actually out of this world! The cover of the Mamas and the Papas wow! So can't wait for Alpine Valley now. I also go to hear all the songs I wanted. First outdoor Watchtower that was timeless along with You Might Die Trying had a nice little jam to itself. I highly recomend this show to be picked up when it becomes avalible. Take care ya'll and see you in Alpine Valley. As a side note I did bring a DMB virgin and it blew his mind just as I thought it would. All he would tell me the entire car ride home was that he had come close to a religious experience. I told him it's true. I know I was hooked when I first saw DMB.

Damn good show overall; the new songs sound great live. Once i finally got there, i calmed down immediately, but it took me almost 4 hours to get to the parking lot from Evanston, which is only about 45 miles away. For that reason, I HATE I-94!! But all my anger just vanished when i heard Dave.

All in all, this show was decent. It was great to hear a ton of new stuff, and everything off Stand Up was solid last night. I especially liked Smooth Rider and Hunger for the Great Light. The lighting for Hunger was awesome, but the lighting was really incredible all night long...I've always been impressed with the show they put on in that respect, but this year is by far the coolest set up I've seen. Outside of the new songs, Grey Street had a bit of an extended jam and Roi solo, which was really cool, and this was one of the best versions of Warehouse I've heard - it really seemed like Dave wanted to go into "Louie Louie," but it was an awesome version nonetheless. Watchtower was ok, not the best, not the worst, and I was frustrated that Dave teased, but didn't play the nature intro to Billies. My only complaint about the show - outside of the bad acoustics at Tweeter - was that it felt like more of a bunch of songs being played, than a show. I just mean to say that there really wasn't a good flow or feel to the show as a set, even though all of the songs were tight, and even mindblowing at times (Hello Again, Warehouse, etc.). Hopefully as the summer goes on, they'll figure out how to better mix in these new songs, but not once did I think any of them didn't belong, so here's to a great summer to come!

Decent show, as a DMB fan I always wish they would have played more of their older stuff, 50% of the show was from the new CD. I like the new CD, however I don't think some of these songs are good for a concert setting, however I think we will continue to see Stand Up and Hello Again for years to come!

LOVER LAY DOWN, LOVER LAY DOWN!!!!!!!! ok...now that that's out, pretty good show for the tweeter, for once the sound was ok where i was seated, the rain kinda dampened some moods, but when dmb hit the stage everyone perked up, One Sweet World was a nice opener, and grey street was cool, still holding out the 3rd verse though...lol, as far as the stand up songs, they were great, was alittle disappointed with the lights, the bar lights on the frame of the front two light things didn't start working until like halfway through the show, and they really add alot to it (saw the St. Louis show the night before and they used them a ton, and it was sooooooo cool) but once they started going it was sweet, but for the most part an awesome show, i also like the fact that they played mostly different songs (other than the stand up ones) than the St. Louis show which was great, well can't wait til ALPINE BABY!!!!!!!!

Watchtower was a perfect closer and Tripping Billies topped the night. Hope to see some songs come back that were not played last year like Say Goodbye, Busted Stuff, Spoon, Last Stop, Dreaming Tree, Let You Down, JTR, etc. I am not complaining because any DMB song is brilliant! Last year was the worst and wasn't even goiong to get tickets for this year. Tonight was one of the top shows i've seen. They jamed every song with variations of the usual jams. The cover was great. New songs...so sweet live. First time i had seen Watchtower in long while and it didnt let down. There were two girls from Michigan next to me and it was their first show ever. Told them they picked a hell of a first one to come to. Now i am actually lookin forward to the 2 in July at Alpine. Peace.

Wow, where do I start? First i must say Dave's introduction of Jurassic 5 was one of the best. Encouraging everyone to find someone and make-out with them in the rain...can't beat it. "One Sweet World" was an excellent way to start the show off followed by a surprising, yet amazing "Grey Street". And just as I expected "Louisiana Bayou" is an awesome live song! The band really rocked out to it, and the lawn section was defiantly feeling it. "Dream Girl" is sure to be a classic, and I love how Dave and Carter both open the song with only their voices. "Hello Again" was louder than ever, while warehouse and watchtower were both highlights.
Encore I was pleasurable. You could tell that the band hasn't really played "Old Dirt Hill" that often. While i was rocking out, The crowd around me didn’t really get into it that much. Obviously not alot of people have gotten to track 2 on stand up yet!
A good mixture of old stuff and new stuff. For those who did not know the new stuff, it seemed as if they still enjoyed themselves. I was very disappointed not to see a single song from "Before These Crowded Streets", but overall it was a good time.

Great show but not as good as stl the night before partially due to the fact that id already seen a lot of it. osw was nice, still miss the intro. grey street was cool, pretty standard still miss the 3rd verse. bayou was good again. too much was nice, better in stl i think. dream girl was cool, again. hello again was better than stl by a little. time was great again, listened a bit better to it this time cause i could comprehend it better crowd not as into it as stl. die trying was good, no dance this time though. those five repeat songs were pretty brutal, no problem with repeats just not that many in a row. lover lay down was pretty suprising though after a couple minutes the crowd wasnt to into it. baby was pretty similar. smooth rider was awesome, quite a bit longer thank god with a sweet sax solo and repeated verses. warehouse was on fire, butch solo>>calypso is really awesome. hunger was money again. crash had every girl and most of the guys screaming and singing along. stand up was sweet again realized it was butch 'singing' the wierd part in the intro had me laughing out loud. steffan solo was better in stl cause carter joined and watchtower was an awesome closer. bring that beat back unfortunately was def. the low point, very obvious first time, and clapping synth. was weak, crowd/band not really into it. billies was awesome had everyone in the place dancing and singing, sweet finale. great show, probly would have liked it more had i seen it before stl, but standing alone, awesome show.

Quite simply, the most badass stage set up they've ever had.

Some good (even great) song choices, Dave's voice sounded cool and gravely. Once again the Tinley Park acoustics are some of the worst in the world! but overall it was a rockin' show with high energy and fun. Nice start (for me) to the summer shows!

The show was alright. Soundcheck i heard Hunger, some drumming, Old Dirt Hill x2. The crowd was just baddddd, especially in section 205/206. Bayou was very good and jammed out alot.
Highlights: Smooth Rider-->Warehouse, American Baby, Time of the Season, Hello Again, Grey Street
Middle GroundL: Stand Up, Hunger, Die Trying, Too Much, Tripping Billies, Watchtower
Low Lights: Old Dirt Hill, Lover Lay Down, Dreamgirl, One Sweet world(weak opener) Overall, the show at the bottom of my list. Dave talked alot(though i couldnt make out a word) and seemed to be enjoying himself. Bottom line Tweeter sucks and they should just do three nights at Alpine.
