Day three. What a great show (not as good as the first two). Highlight was Bayou. Nuff said, DMB rocks!!!

This was the worst DMB concert I've ever been to. The set list was tame at best and bogged the event down something terrible.

Fantastic opening from the Neville Bros. DMB opened with Recently which hadn't ben played in over a year live, made my whole night before it even started! American Baby Intro was as haunting as ever! The jams were just mindblowing.. Jimi Thing with an absolutely insane trumpet solo from Rashawn Ross, then Dave egging on Butch to hammer out a solo as well. Exodus was killer also, but I wasn't in the mood for two extended jam sessions in a row. This was a very special moment but I was just not wanting to see 2 songs take up 40 minutes of an already tight set time. Then Bayou happened! Robert Randolf stole the show, him and dave and boyd were just going APESHIT and brought the entire house down. SICK! I was hoping for a better encore but the show was running late, and red rocks curfew is midnight. Dave did make a comment about it sucks that they can't play every song everyone wants to hear, but they don't even get to play the songs they want to play. Some people around me boo'd but I hope they were the only ones. Dave was very appreciative of having closed out 2005 in Denver and expressed this between almost every song.

A very nice end to the weekend at Red Rocks. Robert Randolph on Exodus and Lousiana Bayou was phenomenal. I never thought LB was goign to end. If there was a roof over red rocks, it would've blown off during that song.

Nice to hear Recently as the opening song. Drive In Drive Out one of my favorite songs to hear. Typical and Everyday very good songs. Exodus was different but cool. LB was off the hook great! Good closer in Too Much.

Really great show. I'm very happy they played typical situation. The opening with Recently was unbelivable. Exodus was a great selection for a cover and it followed with a great bayou. This was probabbly the best show I have been to. I can't wait till next year.

I went to the show not knowing what to expect then all of the sudden we got recently, DIDO, and typical and i got excited. Then he pulled out a bunch of stand up that we had already seen which depressed me. Then we got an rocking exodus and Bayou which was alright (though talk about short setlist for a last show) Then it ended with the worst encore i could have thought possible dunno what the hell made them do that smooth rider is a horrible way to end a great 4 day stand. The only saving grace of me not driving home was that on the way out i got to see dave on his tour bus (he squirted me with a water gun and waved to the few of us that were out there. Then carter and butch drove by and butch gave me a peace sign and carter waved when i screamed that he was the man. Great highlights but a pretty average show.

I went to nights 3 and 4 and I would be hard pressed to find a better 2 nigthts to attend. Tonight was incredible. I went with no expectations because we were treated with Pig, Halloween, and Butterfly the night before. But this show did not disappoint. The enjoy that the band brought was incredible. Some of the highlights was a great opening Recently, incredible solos on Jimi Thing along with the 'somethings happening here' outro. American Baby Intro is down right frightening because of the energy that Dave brought. It was like he was trying to lose his voice. Up until Robert Randolph came out, the show was a great show. But once he came out, the show took a complete different turn into the show hall of fame. EXODUS!!!! When was the last time this was played?!?!? It was incredible. And they went on to play the best version of Bayou I have ever heard. The encore was good as well with a great Smooth Rider and a Too Much that included thanks to the returning troops from Iraq. The only low point I thought was Old Dirt Hill. I like the song but I think it lasted too long and kind of slowed the momentum that was being built. But they quickly picked it back up with HFGL. Thanks to the band for making the night unforgettable.

What would I say? It's hard to say anything. I can say I left disapointed and I am not sure if that is the fault of the band's performance or of my own expectations. My expectations being: a show at Red Rocks, the last show at Red Rocks, and the last show of the summer tour, and it being a benefit concert being taped, and last show at Red Rocks for the last show of Summer Tour for a benefit show all together may have built me up to expect gods. However, what I saw were mere men. Coming out right away with Recently I was beginning to believe that all my anticpation for the evening was going to be fullfilled (and must say IMPRESSED and AMAZED with Randolph and 'Exodus') . Then as the evening progressed we were treated to songs that have already been played over the weekends shows. Now if I can assume that this is not just a mere concert in Morrison, but actually a nationwide event for DMB fans then I am sure the band was aware of this as well. Not only will I rant on that, but we were overloaded with music from "Stand Up". At this point all in attendance who were going to purchase this album have, its now time to stop the support of it and play some gems that we all came with the expectation of hearing/seeing: Minarets, Proudest Monkey, etc. (I personally was done with "Stand Up' the day I bought it, that is not an album of a band progressing. That is mailing it in at its finest. Please, debate me on this if you like. I'd like to hear other opinions). Fianlly, the biggest disapointment came at the encore, half of the theater was chanting for 'Last Stop' and Dave's response was something like "we know what you want to hear, but we are going to play what we want", and kicked in with 'Too Much'. Well, the whole experice was too much for me. Granted the band isn't a monkey and the audience isn't the organ grinded, but is it too beneath someone that knowing the joy you can bring people by simply playing a song and it can not be done, but more teased about it?

Very passionate show, Exodus with all the guests was great, Robert Randolph really tore that up. Played lots of new stuff but really rocked it out. Smooth Rider and Louisiana Bayou were my real highlights of this night, along with Recently and Jimi Thing.

Obviously not as good as SAT or SUN night's shows but I can't really complain because the show was extra and meant a lot to the Hurricane victims. It was wonderful to not only see the Neville Brothers for the first time and see John Butler Trio for the ninth time and see DMB for the 21st time, but to be a part of something bigger and better than just live music.

Amazing! Last nights show had a much stronger set-list, though I think tonights was more special to me. Not only did some new friends sneak us up to row 6, the guys were on fire for a 4th straight night and I got to meet one of the guys from the Neville Bros! Highlights from the show have to be: Exodus (seriously, I thought I was f-n dreaming!); Recently; Typical; AB Intro; and Bayou. All-in-all, a solid show to end an amazing summer!

Amazing show. I don't get to go often because of summer committments, so when this show was announced and I had the night off I jumped at the chance. Totally worth every penny. Drive In Drive Out was great, as were all the new songs (which I really love). Not great seats location-wise, but really, there aren't bad seats at Red Rocks.

The last night of an absolutely implausible weekend at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. One I will never forget, my 25th show on that matter. Usually I have my song of the night, but tonight there were four. Recently as an opener. WOW! I finally got one of my favorite songs of all time. Typical situation was so beautiful and really enhanced the mood of the show. Of course EXODUS with 9 musicians on stage. Ivan Neville, Rashawn Ross, Robert Randolf, and David Cast were four great guest musicians on this song. Louisianna Bayou was so good, the best I've ever heard. This is the third time this year I've heard it with Robert Randolph and It was by far the best. Other highlites include: Drive in Drive out, American Baby intro, Dreamgirl had one of the loudest ovations for a new song I've heard. Jimithing was unreal and Too Much had the Lil John Interpolation. Dave commented numerous times on how the band hasn't had this much fun or as much success in years. It was great to be a part of it all. What a fine year for The Dave Matthews Band. I will be anticipating something in the winter. Take care everybody, it's been a great 12 shows that I saw this summer.

All 4 nights we're 9.5 on a scale of 10. "It just doesn't get much better than this". Not surprisingly this show began to repeat some songs, but it was only a 2 repeat weekend through Typical Situation. The guests and jams were phenomenal, but they were without guests also. Thanks to Sharon & Ron for their company :-)
