I loved the show. I thought it was amazing seeing Linus and Lucy live. All of their jams were awesome. It was just a great atmosphere, one of the best I've been to in awhile.

Amazing Energy... American Baby Intro was sick... too much stand up, but at least they rocked everything... Christmas Song closer could have been followed up by a stronger closer (ie two step, wh, or ants... you can dream can't you)... all around Great Show... the guys continue to impress...

Show would have been good except it was almost a replica setlist of Target Center in Minnesota. Not nearly enough energy in Madison as people sat down for much of the show, and many people didn't even know some of the songs. I would like to see alot of the stand up songs taken out of the setlists for a while.

I thought this show was very good and i really liked the set list that he played that night. some of the songs i hadnt heard him play yet in concert so it was pretty awesome.

PNP-Rapunzel was awsome, Linus and Lucy was unexpected and Christmas Song was the best, 3 song encore! The highlight had to have been when me and my friend billy got to go back stage and meet Dave. I almost soiled myself!!

Ehhhh, average show. I've seen about 20 now and this was probably my lesat favorite actually. Linus and Lucy was pretty cool as it was the first time they played it on tour and I really liked the american baby intro without american baby.

Wonderful show! Lots of energy, the guys were having a blast up on stage. Dave was full of his funny faces and noises. Glad to have made the 2 hour drive up.

Strong show, in my opinion...despite the real lack of variety show-to-show for the tour, the band was playing really well. Dave was having real trouble with hitting the high notes all night, but his voice was pretty strong in the mid-range all night. It was disappointing only seeing 3 songs I hadn't seen in concert before besides the Stand Up songs...Linus & Lucy and Christmas Song were nice surprises, though. The sound in the venue isn't the best, but it wasn't bad by any means. Highlights were definitely PNP>>Rapunzel, Pig, Bartender, Bayou, and Nancies were the highlights. Louisiana Bayou really blew all of us away; Boyd just went off...a relatively average show, but it was nice to see a few surprises at one of the "everyday" venues.

Well for my first time meeting dave matthews at a meet and greet before the show, nothing was going to happen to make this a bad show, so i may be biased, although ive yet to see a bad show, anyhow....i heard 3 songs ive never heard played which doesnt happen often, and 1 of them i have no idea what it was, if anyone knows what he played before nancies id like to know. Xmas song, 1st time, and linus and lucy, what a kick ass jam, both shows ive been to for the winter tour they have let butch do some jamming (join the band already) opener was good. It was quite a mellow show as you can see by the encore, i was expecting to rock out to something crazy after 2 slow ones in a row and got everyday instead, but the band made up for it by jamin out pretty good for everyday.

Solid performance, and feelin' a groove. Boyd's performance is probably the best I've heard live in person. I loves the Linus and Lucy! Nothing upsetting with the setlist, and there's nothing wrong with a mellow encore from time to time.

Well I got kicked out for part of it.... Wont go into that but the show was a let down. Obviously Linus and Lucy and Christmas Song were unbelievable and both songs i never thought i'd hear. However besides that the show was lacking energy. Bayou was suprisingly lacking in energy. I missed Pig(Killing myself now) An unspectacular set overall.
It was cool to see the first three song encore since CP but the besides CS, it was a letdown and a weak version of Everyday. Crowd was not into it, and everyone in the upper sections was sitting.

Amazing from the 24th row but the set list was sort of generic and the band played too many songs from Stand Up.

One of the best shows I've seen...I had backstage passes, walked past Dave, ate the bands food and drank all their beer all night. It was a beer free show but not to me and my friends as we were able to go to his cooler and get some whenever we wanted. Not to mention the set list kicked all forms of ass.

Stefan's hat; it must have come with a free bowl of soup. Here's the run down gang: LeRoi had some sort of malfunction with his sunglasses so he didn't wear them for half of the set. It turns out he does have eyes, but he's blind. Butch played 'Linus and Lucy,' however, most fans thought it was a new song. Speaking of new songs, Dave played part of one tonight but it was somewhat spoiled by the steakheads in the crowd that kept shouting and hooting incessantly; to them I say, go pound some sand. 'Pig' was fantastic but I can't seem to escape a show that plays 'Where are you Going?' Dave exchanged the word 'Paris' for 'Madison' in 'Dancing Nancies' which is great because I LIVE IN MADISON! I went wild when he said that! YES! The encore: 'Christmas Song' I wonder if people would like it as much if they knew it was about Jesus. Why is everyone so down on Jesus these days, I like him fine. Then came 'Old Dirt Hill' there wasn't a dry eye in the house. When they brought out the pedal for 'Everyday' it was like they were marching the crowd down death row, but they finished very nicely and it was a great show. Also, there were some fat kids shaking the concrete ground next to pj4real, my heterosexual concert mate, and then some girl was doing a tourette's things with little kicks. We were the only two dimwits to walk all the way around the arena to find our seats but it was worth it. Who is Gavin DeGraw?

GREAT SHOW. IT WAS MY SECOND TIME AT THE KOHL CENTER AND I WASN'T DISAPPOINTED. I DID NOTICE MORE OF AN ECHO IN THERE THAN LAST YEAR BUT OH WELL. ITS NO ALPINE. I WAS VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CROWD PARTICIPATION ASPECT OF THE SHOW. DAVE'S VOICE WAS VERY STRONG AND BOYD WAS RIDICULOUS. I AM STILL IN SHOCK FROM CHRISTMAS SONG AND LINUS & LUCY. . .WOW! WHERE WAS WAREHOUSE THO?

Good show overall. I dont understand why people get so pissed about songs they love playing. It was my 16th show, and I had a great time! Sure, it wasnt my favorite show I have been to, but I had a hell of a good time!

Review:
This show felt different than the other DMB shows I have been to. The show featured more relaxed instrumental jams and not the crowd favorite rock jams. And that made this show great. It was a change of pace from the other shows I have seen. Despite the lack of loud, crowd energizing jams, the band energy was still there and this is notably the show in which I remember Roi and Butch noticeably having a good time out there. The Pig jam was pleasuring to the senses. The Bartender jam was legendary. Enough said. Linus and Lucy was a special moment because Butch started jamming away unlike I have seen him before. The Christmas song was a great live performance. Other impressive performances of the night were Louisiana Bayou, which I might add was way better indoors than at Alpine Valley, as well as Steady as We Go, which has become my new favorite song off of the new album. One Sweet World was also very nice to hear, yet under appreciated by the crowd. Overall, this was a very different, yet special DMB performance that I will not forget. Thanks DMB. I look forward to next year.

WOW. What a setlist. Opening with PNP Rapunzel is a good idea. PLayed Pig which was a second-time dream come true for me. They decided to break out the ULTRA rare Linus and Lucy. The American Baby Intro he played was by far the most intense performance by Dave i think ever. If you have the chance to listen to it...i sugest you do. Towards the end of the song is not a Dave scream, it puts the scream during What You Are at the Central Park show to shame. This was a Mudvayne scream......it was breathtaking. Crash, What WOuld You Say, Bartender, Too Much, then Christmas Song made it all worth the drive up there, then ending with Two Step and Everyday.
NOTE: If you have the CD, listen to the song break right between ABI and Bartender. Right before he starts Bartender you hear a guy scream "ITS BARTENDER!".. thats me!

Review:
Yet again another solid performance by the boys. I really loved how Boyd seemed to be on fire all night long. Dave's screaming, Linus and Lucy! It was a great night, I wasn't a big fan of the encore but you 'Pay For What You Get' I suppose. Madison, as usual you blow me away, love the town and I hope to come back soon! As a small side note, 'Stand Up' and 'Too Much' were wicked sick! Carter brought his A game. Enough for now, off to Champaign!

I thought the show was pretty good wasnt the best show ive seen but hey cant complain any dmb concert is a good one.Although one of the staff members in our section kept on comming down and accusing people in our row of smoking when really no one was that got annoying after the 5th time she came down. plus its a dave concert of course people are going to be smoking she also didnt like people on the end dancing in the walking space that pissed me off to. Dave played a new song before nancies but they dont have anything listed in the setlist anyone know what it was? The encore i thought was really week christmas song yeah thats good and nice to hear but followed by old dirt hill and then everday i liked the 3 song encore but i wish he would of ended with a little more energy. Still waiting and hoping to see all along the watchtower live ah maybe next year.peace ppl

Setlist was weak. A good portion of the new stuff was fair at best, Bayou was nice and the AB intro was intense. Overall, too much slower music for my taste. The encore was horrific, could've stopped at Christmas song and called it good. He could've warned us that ODH and ED were coming, we could've beaten the mad rush out of the venue.

This was my 9th dave show in 10 years, so I'm not a huge dave-hole. One of the very first things I noticed is that this band is really playing well together, much more so than at the Golden Gate Park show, which was my last one.
PNP Rapunzel, Pig, and the encores were the highlights for me.
It's been really fun to watch the band evolve.

Great show! 1st time seeing the full band indoors. A little loud, but thats unavoidable. I was scared about our seats, but they turned out to be perfect, 1st row of the 200 level stage left. A perfect spot to watch Leroi and Dave. Could't really see Carter though. Setlist was decent... He played a lot of the same tunes that he did at Alpine this summer. Rapunzel was good. Amer. Baby Intro was by far one of my favorites! I just love that raw emotion the band puts into that tune. Linus & Lucy was a nice surprise. And Boyd was on crack during Louisiana Bayou. Encore started nice with Xmas Song, but just didn't do it for me. I expected him to play Old Dirt Hill, but close with Everyday... Hmmm. I guess I was hoping for Watchtower or Warehouse. Overall, well worth it. Wish I had bought tickets to Champaign. Oh well, I guess its time to begin the Alpine Valley Countdown.

Well, here's my $0.02. This was my 7th DMB show and I will rank it at the bottom as an overall experience. Here's why:
1. First and foremost, the acoustics in the Kohl Center absolutely SUCK! It sounds like a concert in an old WWII submarine. Dave, I love your music and shows dearly, but please don't play the Kohl Center again. I will, of course, come see you, but I don't want to be disappointed by the crappy venue. Maybe a summer concert in Camp Randall?
2. No beer. To clarify, I'm NOT one of those fans who has to be drunk off my ass to see a concert, but a beer or two would be nice since it was so damn hot in there.
3. A lot of songs were from SU which is not my favorite album. Personal preference? Yes. I'm not complaining on this point, just explaining my personal OPINION. It's my opinion, and you can agree or disagree.
4. Again, the venue enticed a lot of younger teens and CHILDREN (like 6-7-8 year olds) to the show. This gives us the screaming teenie-bopper groups that spend as much time on their cell phones talking to their friends who were grounded or couldn't come because mommy said no on a school night.
In the end, most of my negative impressions were related to the Kohl Center and the crowd. I thought the band put on a very good (but not awesomely great) show. My highlights included She Said, XMAS Song, Linus & Lucy, and Pig. Encore did not leave me wanting to road trip to the next tour stop. (It usually does.) I'll get over it and see you all at Alpine next summer!

PNP>Rapunzel was good to hear as an opener after it was played as a set closer at Alpine back in July. Pig was fantastic. AB Intro has gotta be one of my favorite stand up songs and dave and the band has taken it to another level since the summer. Big fan of Bayou. Linus and Lucy was spectacular and very random, I totally wasn't expecting that at all. Steady as we go has really grown on me, so it was good to hear. Christmas Song was AMAZING, but the rest of the encore was a letdown. I guess I just had my hopes too high for a Watchtower after xmas song, but Old Dirt Hill and Everyday? That was just garbage.

This was the first Dave concert I have seen indoors. I thought the crowd was pretty low energy. I was not real happy with the setlist and hearing Where Are You Going just added to that. The only thing that saved this show was the they played Linius and Lucy and Christmas song. I never thought I would hear L&L. I loved Christmas song out of the break. See you at Alpine.

A little late in posting, blame the old work thing. Great night with friends. Kind of a mellow set for my taste, but hey... its DMB and I will never complain. Highlight for me was American Baby Intro... if I hear that at every future concert I see I wouldn't be mad. Pure emotion that seems to have gotten better since Alpine this summer. Glad to hear PIG and Bartender. Christmas Song, ODH, and Everyday was an awesome Encore. Boyd was on all night, Stephan was just grooving (loved the hat), Carter is the man behind the drums, Leroi took his shades off... now I just need to see him smile! Dave was in a whacky mood, which made the show fun. Kinda disappointed in the crowd's lack of energy, felt like Dave was waiting for us to wake up at times. I'm going to have to start a petition to get Butch listed as a member of the band... come on guys... he's no special guest... he's Butch, a member of the band!! Overall a great night, can't wait till Alpine next summer and possibly The Gorge! Happy Holidays! Eat, drink, and be merry!

Great show, very mellow set. The venue didn't seem to have much energy; but let's face it, there is no comparing the Kohl Center to Alpine Valley.. Pig, AB Intro, and Bartender (esp. Leroi's Hey Jude tease towards the end) were my highlights.. And I guess I can't leave out xmas song!
