I was VERY pleased with the rarities included in the setlist, and very happy about the return of Ants Marching to the tour. The only thing I would have rathered would have been to have heard Warehouse, just because it is such a fun song for crowds.

Holy crap-what an awesome set! Kill the king, dreamingtree, ants, bayou, grace is gone, jtr, billies - the atmosphere was awesome-dave's gotta come back to DTE! was hoping for halloween (yeah right) after we got bartender on 6-6-06!! for once, i'm almost glad i was on the lawn--i was dancing so much!

Nice to hear JTR back in the list, Bartender was nice and Boyd was all out "nuts"!!! 3 new songs, (1 debut tonight) Dave explained sister and how it came about, it's awesome how big his heart is! The bands as big as life and yet their down to earth like the rest of us....Great show!

Pretty good show last night. It was nice to have the band back at DTE/the Knob and Dave made it pretty clear they felt the same. Pretty much all night long the band was locked in, playing nice, hard, and tight. Really there weren't any lowlights - the closest would be that Everyday wasn't quite on and Bayou wasn't quite brought together they way it usually is and I don't know if it's because Dave broke a string, but there was definitely some punch missing. On the highlight end, great to hear some oldies back - JTR, Raven, Dreaming Tree - and all three new songs were great. I look forward to seeing how these evolve over the summer and I'm very grateful they have a bit more classic, pre-Everyday feel to them. Hope to see them back at DTE next summer!

Terrific show, my first with DMB. The crowd was awesome, really great people. My fiance my Aussie friends and I had a terrific time. Thank you to all of the hospitable staff at DTE. Still trying to learn the American interest in lite beer.

this was my first ever dave matthews band show... and i have been a strong fan for about five or six years now...
it blew me away...
the energy was amazing... the crowd was totally into it... and they played their hearts out...
i am incredibly tired from dancing, screaming, and just having a good time, so i will wrap this up...
bayou, billies, bartender, and raven were for sure my favorites of the night... they did some amazing jams, and boyd was going nuts!
needless to say... i can now die a happy man, knowing i have seen one of the best artists ever perform live...

Took my old g/f from 25 years ago - had a blast. Great venue but it's a zillion miles from home in Muffin, Ohio... great seats and great set - heard a new song performed for the first time - gotta say it's great to see these guys after so much time away...

Wow, what a great show. The band was on, the setlist was great, and the crowd in the pavilion was into it. Here is a song by song breakdown:
Satellite: what a shock. I was thinking maybe a DDTW opener, but this was a great was to start the show.
JTR: Great song. I was hoping for this to be played and it was. One of my favorites.
Pig: I love this song and this version was pretty sweet.
Where are you Going: first time hearing it and I liked it. A nice little song.
Hunger: Great version. The energy was insane and the band was loving it. After the song was done Dave did the Tiger Woods fist pump, showing that the band nailed it.
Everyday: Boyd was on.
Bartender: This was one of the highlights of the night. This song is just so powerful and the wailing was unbelievable! Dave was on as was the rest of the band.
Grey Street: One of my favorites and this version was awesome. The band, coming off a crazy Bartender was just jamming this song to the max.
Grace is Gone: This could be the best version of the song I've ever heard. Boyd owned this song and the extended hoedown was great. Crowd was dancing all over the place.
Kill the King: DEBUT!!! Nice little tune.
Raven: Sweet song. Something was wrong with Dave's guitar and had to change it midsong.
Tripping Billies: This song came out of nowhere. One of the best DMB songs ever. Energy was awesome and the crowd was going nuts.
Idea of You: My favorite new song.
Crash: Great song, Dixie Chicken outro.
Louisiana Bayou: One of my favorites off of Stand Up and this version was rockin.
Sister: Great song.
Dreaming Tree: Oh my goodness. Sweet song, great version, amazing.
Ants Marching: Great way to end a show. It was very cool.

Decent show, kinda slow at times. Cool to see Kill the King for the first time, but I had to listen to it over again to see if I liked it - I do. The Idea of You is awesome, and Sister is beautiful as a solo for Dave. JTR absolutely rocked, Grace Is Gone was cool with the little hoedown jam at the end. Seeing The Dreaming Tree in the encore made the night even better, defiantly one of my favorites and I’ve always wanted to see it live. Overall, glad I was there, the fact that the new songs so far are all so good makes me look forward to great things from DMB in '06.

This was just an incredible show. The set list alone speaks for how awesome this show was. DMB played Kill the King for the first time live ever. Also, Dave was totally close with the fans this show, shaking hands throughout the show. He even took a small bonsi tree like plant onstage and set it on Carters drum set stand. AMAZING show.

Phenomal show!!! WAYG aside, this was a deep set. JTR was awesome, HFTGL rocked, and Pig, Billies and Bayou were off the charts ridiculous. Boyd was on all night and did some kind of bluegrass outro that rocked Grace is gone. Loved the brand new songs, much more than the ones that debuted in the summer 2004 tour. The encore of Sister, Dreaming Tree, and Ants was one for the ages!!! Props to whoever gave Dave that little Dreaming Tree figurine early in the concert. The only thing that could’ve made this show better would have been Halloween in the encore (throw us a bone, it’s 06.06.06!!!) or #41 somewhere in the set. Still can’t complain overall, this show was freakin’ AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

This was my 11th show. Not good. Not one rockin' song the whole evening. He talked a lot to waste time. None of the band members were feeling it. The only good jams were Bartender and Grace is Gone, but even those were not pwerful. This is the third time I have seen him close with Bayou. By far the worst. Dave, never attempt to close with Bayou again unless you have R. Randolph on stage to make it sound good. Oh, and G Love and Special Sauce played Goldigger. ??? WTF ??? Dave did play a lot of tunes on 12string. That was pretty sweet.

This was a crazy show. I mean come on...Raven, Pig & Dreaming Tree. Just too many great songs to name. The new song Kill the King is phenomenal. Band energy was huge, crowd energy was lacking but maybe it was the lawn section I was in? Thanks Dave for another awesome show.

the show was great i really enjoyed the debut of kill the king it was a great song my girlfriend and i danced all night on the lawn. we had great seats on the lawn so it was truly amazing. I also loved it when dave played sister. i knew he was going to play it and it made me happy because it was my sisters birthday. i think this is the best i've seen DMB proforming yet and it makes me think that its just going to get better.
one more thing, the backround lighting behind the band incredible, it blew my mind.

This was an absolutely incredible show. I took a good friend of mine and he really wanted to hear Satellite and they opened with it! That was awesome. JTR was great to hear as well. Hunger For The Great Light gets better every time I hear that. Bartender was very nice. I really liked the new songs (Kill The King and The Idea Of You) Raven and Tripping Billies back to back was incredible. Ending the show with Louisiana Bayou was awesome. Then Dave came back by himself for the encore. I knew sister was coming but I didn't know how it would go. It was absolutely beautiful. Then The Dreaming Tree! That was incredible. As soon as I heard the first note for Ants Marching I went crazy. That was unexpected for me and it definitely made the night even better!

What an amazing show! I love that atmosphere at Pine Knob. The crowd really got into the jams and so it was really fun for the band and crowd to be feeding off each others' energy. Highlights for me included Satelite, a great jam in Tripping Billies, Grey Street, Crash, the "hoedown" in Louisiana Bayou, Rashawn Ross on Trumpet in general, being treated to Dreaming Tree, and of course, closing with Ants!!! Thank you Dave and friends!

One of the better Dave shows that I have seen...I missed Satellite because we were late. JTR was great as was The Dreaming Tree. The entire place with lit up with screaming fans, which really enhanced the mood. Great Show!

As the eighth show I have been too, I would have to say the best of the eight. Opening with Satallite, not to common, then going into JTR was pretty tight. Got my energy going. The encore was to die for. Sat on dreaming tree for a long time, never hearing that song live, I was pretty happy and impressed. I have been waiting 4 years to see Ants Marching live and was pleasantly surprised to have them close the concert with it. No intro though. I was expecting some tomtom start like most other live concerts have had, but the band just went right into it. That didn't spoil anything for me though.. In all a great show and am looking forward to hearing the new songs on a album!!

A fantastic show. Satellite as the opener was a little surprising. Heard the Proudest Monkey tease and thought they would pull off the monkey -> satellite opener like from live trax 5. Kill the King has great energy and could be real good down the line. Cool to be the first to hear it. JTR and Dreaming Tree made the show in my opinion. Had been dying to hear those for years. And Ants was a typical last song of the encore and people will bitch about that but the song hadn\'t been played in detroit, full band that is, since 99. Can\'t wait till Blossom.

After all these years I finally got to hear The Dreaming Tree (chills run up & down the spine)! It was 10 years ago, to the month, that I was at my first DMB show, also here at Pine Knob. Loved hearing Grace Is Gone, JTR again, Crash (for my girl and I) and Ants Marching - which will always be the best closer imho. Also got to hear the new one, Kill The King (ironically, Melissa and I have gotten to be at the debut for 3 of the 4 new ones so far this year: Ayhee - 2/4 SOS show; Idea Of You - 6/2 show; and Kill The King - this show. I can't wait for the tape of this one!

Amazing! What a set list. Debut of "kill the King", "Ravin", "The Dreaming Tree", "sister". The only thing that sucked about the show, were the drunk guys next to us. Dave was going into this heart felt story about Jane (regarding the song sister). HTey were both screaming, "its the song that jane likes"! more or less a perfect dave show!
