OK, really, where do I start? This was my 27th (yes, 27th, when they debuted #27) dave show, and Im hard-pressed to say it, but I think this tops them all. Above 9-9-03 and 9-8-03 and 7-23-02 which had been my top three. I brought my sister with me, it was her first dave show, which made the song sister all that much better. I loved how rashawn was wearing a richard seymore jersey, and that leroi was wearing a new zealand all blacks jersey (my father is from new zealand). But where the show really was awesome is that it felt like the band had found new youth again. The lloked young and just down to jam and have a good time. Still water --> ddtw with xavier on the diggiridoo (sp?) is easily the coolest thing ive seen at a save show. not to mention i saw my first "the maker" oh yeah, and how about the 6 solos in jimi thing? that was pretty dope too. Then to top it off, well, we get stay to close, and then corn bread where dave gives this story about how its the only song he can play on "this little wierd guitar" and then the best two step i have ever heard. ever. The jam between butch and carter was the best. carters solo... the coolest solo I have ever seen him play, just right ON. This show was fantastic and whoever is going to a show coming up should get excited. The energy, the LIGHTS, and the music are kickin! The new stuff is awesome! thanks guys!

I drove 4 hours to be put to sleep by every slow song they had.
They ended with two step which was depressing.
Just a bad day all together.

Good show. Solid. Love the new tunes - #27, Cornbread (which Dave played solo on "a funny little guitar I picked up in Seattle"). Snatched this show off dreamingtree right away to bring with to Hartford. Great start to the tour...let's see where we go!

It was a different show. They sounded great together, but the song selection wasn't ideal, it was nice to hear new songs Cornbread (live w/ band) and #27, sounded awsome. Def solid performance, like always. Tomorrow night should be better.

Great show, save for the drunken high schoolers too hammered to respect the people around them. Xavier Rudd kicked ass on DDTW - that was the highlight. My fiancee liked The Idea Of You - Dave has tweaked the lyrics since we last heard him sing it, which excited her the most.

The show was a great performance - #27 was awesome! The only disappointment was him not playing anything "rare".....which wasn't really all that disappointing, because I took my son with me and he loved it all because it's all new to him. DDTW w/ Xavier was sooo cool.

Im really diggin the new tune #27. Sounded awesome full band. You could tell DMB was a little rusty (atleast Dave was in terms of remembering lyrics). The Two Step jam was amazing, as it always is, but you could tell they were lovin it, a really different feel to it. Crush as an opener was amazing, very unexpected and worked really well. Daves voice didnt sound too bad, he could hit some of the high notes but at times was a little iffy. All in all, it was a good opening show, nothing special, but fun to be there. Cant wait til tomorrow

Starting off with Crush was a shocker for me, but when they first started playing around with notes I heard it, but didn't think they'd actually play it! YMDT was good, and surprisingly so was Dreamgirl! I loved WTWE, and was soooo happy I got The Maker b/c I really got into that song this year. IOY was good, even though I'm still on the fence about that new Carter stuff, but I liked it more than I thought I would. Grey Street is always great live. I was surprised to hear Sister midset, but I love it always. DDTW was so great, as usual. I seem to always forget about that song going into a concert, but it consistently turns out to be one of my favorite songs of the night when I hear it at a show. #27 first time ever full band! It was really kick-ass, especially that first note when the band came in, kind of startled me. Crash was amazing, we got Dixie Chicken and I went nuts. Jimi Thing was awesome, added that "Stop hey what's that sound..." Love it love it. Stay, again never one I think to hear, but was so much fun! Cornbread was cool, never heard that live, and Two-Step had this new (well new to me) part, and it was cool because it was different. Overall a really great show for me, I can't think of a bad moment, and Boyd was freakin off the hook-the man could not be stopped, he was on fire! Xavier Rudd was quite amazing too-he's got some real talent, what he was doing with all those different beats and instruments was incredible, and it looked really difficult to do. I liked the stage set-up, especially those huge long screens, and Butch has a new home-he's now in the back near Carter (he even waved as he was walking off stage at the end, I've never seen him do anything like that!) Rashawn just gets better every show. When the camera's on him it seems like he's blowing that trumpet like his life depended on it, he's just terrific. And I noticed LeRoi had no shades on, and I don't remember ever seeing him at a show without sunglasses...his hair seemed shorter too. I really really enjoyed this show.

Compared to Dave at Fenway last summer, this show was mediocre at best. That said, since Fenway was absolutely incredible, this summer's first show in Mansfield was great. Lots of extended jams, and the encore, featuring Dave playing some acoustic solos and Two Step was incredible.

This was a great show. Noone saw that Crush opener coming(except after hearing Fonzie warming up). I brought my 14 year old nephew to his first show and he's now saving up for an acoustic guitar! Jimi skat was probably one of the best of heard. The Maker always make me emotional, and Sister was very fab. WTWE is always great to hear too. I love Cornbread with Carter. Just wish I wasn't such an idiot to drop the stick from him. Luckily he saw me n2 and tried again! Overall, out of 41, this was a solid show. I want to do it all over again right now!

At first I was skeptical of the show due to the song choice. Crush, Die Trying, Nancies is cool but Boyd is def. my least favorite member, When the World Ends, Dream Girl, at this point im telling myself 'youve got to be kidding'. But at the same time I couldnt help but notice things like how Dave was holding back on his voice and not killing himslef like he has been for the past five years or so. This reminded me of how he used to sound when he laid back a little bit which made for excellent musicallity. I thoroughly enjoyed the new song #27 I thought it was very fresh. When Xavier Rudd came out with his Dijaridoo (spelling?) I thought it was cool, but was still unsure about it. But my GOD when they broke into Don't Drink the Water with a fucking Dijaridoo . . . it was the best version of that song Ive ever heard. The maker was chill as hell, Jimithing was great, Sam Kininger is the man, but I wish that I could have been jamming with them (www.myspace.com/trevorkellum) I would have lit a fire under his ass. But enough about me, it was great. Crash into me interestingly enough, my girlfriend had come to the past three DMB show with me and we heard Crash into Me each time, and to her good luck, they came through for a fourth time. Louisiano Bayou i thought was cool Dave was displacing the melody which to me was really new. Stay, im kind of sick of as an end to a set, but still a great song. Corn bread I thought was really cool, down home and dirty. Two Step was GREAT, ive never heard it before live so I was very pleased. I have yet to hear #41, which I can't wait to hear. Overall I thought that it was a great opener for the tour, very fresh and reminded me of the old dave matthews band, but TIGHTER. They are such a great band and I love seeing them live. If i had the time or the money Id go more often.

Although this was my 43rd show, it was my first DMB show that was actually a tour kick-off. I continue to be thoroughly impressed with how the band works together and is absolutely SPOT ON with their spontaneous jams. What a nice surprise..."The Maker" and Xavier Rudd for DDTW was amazing! Another great show.

Starting off with crush you can't go wrong! #27 had the typical dave song feel to it, i'd love to hear it again this time knowing what it will sound like. The dave and the fans brought the energy that i had hoped for because it was my friends first dmb concert! I would not rate it the BEST dave show but DMB never lets me down!
