Great Show! I gave up on the lawn years ago - but it was worth it for this one. Wish the food and toilets were closer..
Can't wait for this to be cd/dvd - the show went by so fast. Loved the opening with One Sweet World and Two Step! Loved Dreaming Tree - my first time live! #40! Could have used some #41, which would have made it 5 stars.
Watchtower - awesome as ever and then Ants? Crazy!!
If I could merge this show and Raleigh last night it would be one of the best ever.
Did I mention how great Carter was this show - I don't think he ever stopped - the guy kills me. Unbelievable...

We were in the middle of the crowd - great energy from the band and fantastic neighbors at the show - no traffic :-)
The down side was that Peidmont Park had never had this many people in attendence at one event, and didn't really know how to plan for it - there was a wait of nearly 50 minutes for the port-o-potties and even longer line for beer -but that was not the fault of the band. Overall great experience - much better venue than HiFi.

Incredible. This was my first show in about 5 years. I go back to the days of watching DMB play for $10 on Wed nights at Flood Zone in Richmond, VA. So seeing DMB sell out to over 50k crowds is quite amazing. The entire show was spectaculor. The set list, the people, the energy, the weather, I couldn't ask for more. Highlights of the evening were Dreaming Tree, Melissa, Two Step, Cornbread. I was hoping for #41 which would have made my night. The jams were incredible, just when you thought the song was over....they kept going. Totally agree with a future DVD. Too many video cameras onsite. Again, DMB never to disappoint.

Dave and Greg playing together on Melissa was simply historic and Warren haynes tore up the guitar as always!!! i cant imagine spending a better night than 50,000 of your closeist friends singing to Dave along with you!! First DMB show. Could not have been more impressed by the energy the group puts into their live shows. Every person in the crowd around me (about 10 yards back from center stage) was emotionally moved by some point of the show. Personally DDTW and Dreaming Tree absolutely blew me away on energy alone, not to mention absolute musical abilities. I will never miss another show within a few hundred miles

Incredible Show with so much energy. Have not been anywhere around that many people in my life. Two Step had a nice spirital feel to it and the my new Favorite DMB song, Corn Bread was great followed by one of my favorites with just the right intro length,Don't Drink the Water, and then You Might Die Trying was rocking! My wife loves Grey Street and #27 is also one of my new favorites. Melissa was ok. I didn't really get the duet between Dwayne and Dave. The Dreaming Tree was heartfelt. Overall this one of the best shows of the year!!!

My goodness what a show! This is my 11th, and I can tell you with 95% confidence that this is the best show I've seen yet! (The other might be the first night at SPAC in last year's summer tour.) But I have never seen the band put this much energy and heart into EVERY song they played. Cornbread is easily becoming one of my favorites, YMDT is infinitely better than I ever remember it, the new intros to Warehouse and Don't Drink the Water kept my interested and guessing the whole time, and Dreaming Tree is one of those songs that I've always dreamed of hearing but never thought possible. And my goodness what a version they put out tonight. That was the band at their finest no question in my mind. Not to mention the #40, which I've never even thought of dreaming of hearing.

The only small let-downs were Warren Haynes soloing over WWYS (I was hoping for some face-melting shredding like during #41 at Hartford last year) and the band closed with Ants Marching for the second show in a row (and I was at the previous one.) Otherwise... best show I've seen. And that's saying a lot. I'll be on a natural high for a week!

Great Show! My 8th overall. You could definitely tell that all the guys really put some extra showmanship into the performance, which instantly had all of us thinking DVD.

The freeze frame after So Much to Say was hilarious, you could even tell that Dave was having a hard time not cracking a huge smile in the middle of it.

Melissa to me was by far the highlight, as a true Georgia-boy, to see Greg and Dave both singing what I consider to be one of the most beautifully written songs of all time was unbelievable.

Incredible, thanks guys! Hope our DVD predictions are correct!

The Allmans were outstanding this evening, though
they seemed somewhat unappreciated by the predominately DMB crowd. DMB was in top form
Great energy from the band, especially Dave as they were really putting on a show for the cameras. Warren jamming on WWYS and Gregg on Melissa were real highlights. I am a big Derek Trucks fan, and I was immensely disappointed that he didn't come out with the DMB. I was looking forward to that since the date was announced. Oh well, maybe some other time.

What a show! The environment was flippin' insane with 50,000 of my fellow Dave fans hangin out on a lovely September night.

Going into it, I was hoping to hear Dave and the Allman's either play Melissa or Jessica together, and luckily they played Melissa. I kinda knew they would after the Allman's didn't play it during their set (you knew that would hae to be at least one of the popular songs they would have to play eventually). The best part though was that the girl I brought with me was named Melissa, which was great to see her smile after the song started.

The Dreaming Tree was awesome, that's been one of the songs I've always wanted to hear live. They used blacklights on everyone during the song, and throughout the concert, which was sick in itself.

I loved that they played Eh Hee and Cornbread as well, and getting the Live At Radio City a couple weeks before going to this show, I loved being able to sing along with them, as best as I could, haha (Dave still scats a lot during them...hasn't quite figured out the lyrics yet I suppose).

#40 was awesome as well. I wish they would've played it more like the Live In Chicago version or the Listener Supported version, but it's all good because I think it was actually longer than both of those versions anyway. Either way though, it was a tease because if you listen to the real version of the song from the 5.10.1995 recording at Yoshi's, the real version is like 5 minutes long (and probably one of the best songs I have ever heard, period).

But great show and I saw a lot of professional camera equipment there...let's hope for a DVD or at least a LiveTrax!

Unbelievable show - ABB and DMB 2 of my absolute favorites together. Great set list - very tight. Only regret - I'm a huge Derek Trucks fan and thing he would be an amazing addition to the soup. I thought Warren, who I consider an amazing blues/rock guitar player in his own right (perhaps not the visionary jazzy voice of Derek, though, in my opinion) brought something special to his jam - not a typical lead guitar jam, but very spicy and choppy. Definitely altered the song in an interesting (and therefor cool) way.

Am I the only one who thinks the VIP area sucked? We were so far away I could barely see the stage. I guess I am spoiled by the great seats I always get from being a long time WHer. I wanted my $250 to buy me a good seat, not free Bud Light! The Allman Brothers were great. DMB was fantastic as always and I've been to 76 shows over the many years I have been a fan. Besides the fact that the VIP section was too far from the stage, the only other bad part of the night was that I had to leave after Eh Hee to get my drunk older brother home - he took full advantage of the free drinks! That is the first time I have ever left a show early - never again! Can't wait for the DVD to see what I missed.

17th show def the best ive seen. Came all the way from Boston to see it and it was def worth it. I was in the first couple of rows, closest ive ever been. VIP tix were a scam tho

Very energenic show. Most energenic ive ever seen from DMB. Dreaming tree was jaw dropping as was bayou, 40(tease??) was a treat, and the old intro to warehouse FINALLY came back, kinda sick of the fist pumping(wooo) intro. Eh hee full band was just AWESOME. Warren was a tease. was hoping to hear cortez or 41(hartford 06 version), but happy to hear him anyways. I was in awe when Gregg came out to play. We are very lucky to see that. It will probably never happen again.

Decent Allmans set, ive seen them three times this yr(10x's total) before this, and the shows from Boston, and the Beacon thtr were a bit better(more energy, better setlist). Wish Derek came out and jammed with the boys. Thought the Allmans would put a little bit more into the show infront of a hometown crowd.

Show def gets a 5

DMB was awsome! The best I've ever seen. Peidmont park on the otherhand, droped the ball big time. 50+thousand people and no organization what so ever. They should have taken notes from The Central Park Concert. No planed walk ways, or event staff to help the masses move across the lawn, left thousands of people with no choice but to walk over people, children, blankets, ect. This caused many fights in the area that I was in. Yes, fights at DMB! I have never seen a fight at a DMB show before in my life. I have never even heard of a fight at a DMB show before, and I blame the folks at Peidmont park for all of it. It took alot to bring DMB fans to blows, but they succeded. On a more possitive note, the band was at thier very best. Top of the night for me was Eh, hee, Cornbread, and The Dreaming Tree. Some how Dave was able to convert The Dreaming Tree into a Stadium Anthem, and it worked! See you next week in NC!

After a tired, mediocre performance on 8.2 in mansfield, i always almost ready to hop off the DMB train for a while. Nonetheless, after coming across a pair of tickets for the benefit show in ATL, i thought i'd give them another try, if for nothing more than to raise money for a good cause.

of course, in the true fashion of a stellar touring act, dave and the band had me at one sweet world. throughout the length of the setlist, everyone was smiling, enjoying themselves and showing me more exploration than i've ever seen.

highlights include SMTS with warren haynes, DDTW with a passionate intro, greg allman's alternating vocals on melissa, you might die trying (!!??), a near 4 minute ASTB, a highly anticipated dreaming tree and a rippin watchtower encore.

despite a somewhat uninterested crowd, carrying on with social hour and an ususual amount of drugged-up meatheads, this was one of the most beautiful days of my life.

thank you DMB.

Dreaming Tree killed Dave's voice which finally gave out on Warehouse. Sweet Melissa with Gregg Allman! Cornbread was a blast and new songs this year #27 and #Eh Hee are starting to be more well known by the crowds. WWYS-ASTB-Too Much [freeze frame style] is great showmanship. VIP would have been great ALL night. How about some aisles next time Atlanta? And the heat, my gawd the heat!

Hands down, this was an instant classic. The bands energy, timing and execution was just flawless. We were at the front of the stage in the center and watched them close the whole way through. This was the band at their finest. The obvious favorites were Two-Step, OSW, Melissa with Greg Allman, a chilling version of The Dreaming Tree, and Eh Hee, which is just a ton of energy. What amazed me other than the great selections was the way Dave and the boys changed up their usual tunes with new intros/bridges. The jam on WWYS (w/Warren Haynes) was tremendous, The transition from SMTS to AYSTB was not only an exhibition of crazy-good timing, but it was hilarious to see their goofy faces and posturing. There was a new intro into Warehouse and a prolonged dark intro into DDTW that had most Ants wondering if they were about to see What You Are or DDTW (the more knowledgeable fans know that Dave plays What you Are on the electric anyway!).

I have seen DMB 18 times (21 by the end of the summer) and this might be the greatest performance I've ever witnessed by the boys. This includes Madison Square Garden from 2005, the weekend at West Palm from last year and the Tour Closer in Charlottesville from last year. This was the quintessence of the DMB A-Game. This was an A+++ performance.

PLEASE GOD, LET THEM MAKE A DVD!!

By the way, #40 was not a tease! It was the whole song as done on Listener Supported!!

AWESOME NIGHT!! So glad to be a part of the historic event that hopefully will be put on DVD.

This was an awesome show. Kinda disappointed that Dreaming Tree didn't open the show, because I figured we wouldn't hear it if it didn't open. But by golly, they broke into it and I went nuts. The only thing was that the people around me acted like they'd never heard it before. I was really pissed when they started talking about half way through. Damn it, it's a classic! But the entire show was very good. Gregg coming out for Melissa was phenomenal! Thought they were only gonna do one encore because of watchtower, then I heard the snare to Ants and I was happy. I got a setlist too haha! Excited about that, but bummed to see that A dream So Real and Nancies were skipped due to time. They also had a question mark besides intro in the E1 spot, but they definitely didn't have time for that one. Hope there's a DVD!

This show was fucking awesome! To put it as simple as possible. This is arguably the best concert I've ever experienced. As soon as I got to Atlanta I could feel the energy and excitement in the air for this day. First off, the Allman Brothers Band put on a sick show that got everything kicked off. The energy level of the Dave Matthews band was the best I've seen this year and of any shows I've seen since the Central Park Concert. I must say that this performance rivals that one from four years ago. I typically have my highlights from every show I see, but at this show, nearly every song was a highlight. As soon as they took the stage and started up, you knew they weren't fucking around on this night. One Sweet World was awesome and appropriate to open with for this show. Happy Birthday, Roi! Dave had lots to say tonight, which was entertaining. Two Step was great, and then they really turned up the energy with Cornbread. I've been getting into this tune all summer and I haven't been this excited about a new tune of theirs since Stay came out on BTCS. #40 was a nice surprise and this also happened to be my 40th show. After playing "always" they seagued into the passion intro of Warehouse...awesome! Dreaming tree was awesome to hear again as well. So Much To Say>ASTB>Too Much was the most entertaining I've ever experienced. Dave was very animated. What Would You Say with Warren Haynes was the best version of this song I've ever heard. Melissa with Gregg Allman was a very nice moment. As I looked back into the crowd, it was a massive sea of people, all of them into the show. Just when you think they can't really top themselves on this night, They come out and perform All Along the Watchtower>Ants Marching as the encore. This is the best encore I've ever experienced. As the show ended, I looked back and everyone was still present. Hundreds of yards back, 50,000+, truly an amazing sight. It was pleasure to be in Hotlanta on this day. After the show, it was absolute madness as tens of thousands of people walked the streets of downtown Atlanta still with a deep hunger for the nightlife. Thanks Atlanta, it was unreal. Had to jump on on a plane to catch Farmaid the next day. What a weekend.

We were in the front row and except for those two annoying camera guys standing up in front of the stage we had a great view. The energy from the band was absolutely ridiculous. I was completely blown away. Highlights were DT, DDTW, Eh Hee, ASTB, WWYS, and the entire encore. Not to say that the rest of the show wasnt amazing though. Hopefully this will be released in some form.

...wow...BEST show of the Summer Tour so far, I will remember this one for the rest of my life. The Park was a perfect venue, with perfect, cloudless blue skies for the Allman Bros. and a quiet night with a cool summer breeze for DMB. Yet what made this the best show was the energy; you could tell the ABB was STOKED to be back home in Piedmont, playing the best songs and jams, (You could imagine exactly what it was like back 40 years ago, albeit with 45 extra dollars in your pocket) and the DMB came out to match and augment the excitement already brewing. Songs were amazing, I completely called One Sweet World as the first, perfect song, especially for the venue. I can't believe I heard Don't Drink the Water, awesome energy and ideas going around. I came wishing for Last Stop, Sweet Up, or a long lost Granny, but now I couldn't have cared less, the songs played were perfect, most were known enough for my friends to sing along, the best versions of Cornbread, Eh Hee (Eh He-ENERGY!) and 27 I've heard. I moved up to the very front for So Much - Bridge - Too Much, the perfect songs to see the band's energy up close (and man, was there energy). And an AWESOME 40 semi-tease (some of the vocals were in there for at least 2-3 mins) while me and my friend were walking back smoking our cigars, getting back to our group just in time for a crazy, crowd jumping Warehouse. Stay was the perfect song to wind down and have a meaningful dance on, and then a slow starting to power chord filled, heart enthralling Watchtower; I've never seen Dave with as much energy and passion. And then that signature song my friends had been mumbling excitedly about for hours, the snare drum started on the beat for 30 secs: no one would believe me that it was their song, until..Boom! and the every one of the 50,000+ went NUTS. Minus some annoying pointless drink-induced girlfight drama (She called my a what, well she's a...) the night was perfect, beyond human recognition. Get ready for the DVD.

Well...this was my 5th show and it happened to be on my birthday AND I also LOVE the ABB so I was obviously excited...

OSW--IMO a beautiful opener and very appropriate considering this show was billed as "The Green Concert". The band has changed the song a little...added a really cool intro

Two Step--Couldn't believe it! I had never seen Two Step live and it was so cool to hear it as the 2nd song of the night...you could tell this might be a special show...great version

Corn Bread--Could turn out to be a crowd favorite. Great groove and I liked how they ended it abrubtly last night instead of gradually slowing it down and fading out like earlier in the tour.

DDTW--One of my absolute favorites and last night didn't disappoint! I am a history teacher so this song holds some special significance for me

YMDT--I heard this during the '05 tour and it was ok...but last night they really jammed it out w/ some good horn solos and Dave energy...really kept the crowd in it..one of the better SU songs IMO

Grey Street--always good even if they do skip a verse

#27--Didn't recognize it at first but it came to me later during the chorus...really cool song

WWYS--When I saw Warren come out I was hoping for a Crush, Jimi or something where he could really shine...WWYS just not a good guitar solo song but Warren is always good

Melissa--Beautiful as always and cool to see Dave and the band back up Gregg

LB--3rd straight show to hear this one and I was kinda disappointed at first...but this was an INCREDIBLE version!!! Can't even describe it...just so good. I saw them play it w/ Robert Randolph in '05 and this compares to that...Great energy

DT--I had just said to my wife "I hope they play something to keep the energy up" and then they broke out DT and I couldn't believe it...Never Ever thought I would hear this live and I was stunned..not sure if the people around me recognized it, but I was singing at the top of my lungs

Eh Hee--Very cool song...hadn't heard a full band version yet so that was a treat

SMTS-ASTB-TM--Seen this trio a few times now but last night's version was the best...they have changed the way they play SMTS a little and at the end on "Little Baby" they do this vamp thing and leave you hanging for a bit and Dave kinda freezes...and eventually it goes into ASTB...TM was really cool and they have REALLY SLOWED DOWN the Break down part...really cool.

#40--I know this site says it was a tease but it was just like LS...never thought i would hear this either...people around me were talking so I couldn't exactly hear all of it but it was sweet none the less

Warehouse--In my top 5 favorites and he did the Passion intro ala Luther College...7/8 Salsa jam was great...such a great dancing song

Stay--The only song of the night I could have done w/o totally...Maybe a Billies here or something would have been incredible, but Stay is good energy so...

Encore: Watchtower->Ants--totally completed the night! Great versions of each...Watchtower was just like the Central Park version including Dave screaming "FIRE!" at the end over and over...

Really a great show...New Songs are really good and looking forward to new album

Great show. A little disappointed that Warren came out on WWYS and not Watchtower, Jimi Thing or something that could show cases his guitar skills more. He is da man! The boyz were sounding great. Dug the new intro for Two Step. Loved the screaming at the end of You Might Die Trying.. Not if anyone else caught this but LeRoi jams “Chocolate Rain” on the sax about 11-12 minutes into it for a minute or two. If you dont know what "Chocolate Rain" is check out the YouTube click of the songs. Its gotten 8.5 million hits and turned into YouTube smash. Pretty funny actually... Overall it was a strong show. Great 5+ hours of music. Thanks for always treating Atlanta good Dave!

I'm an old timer. Been a fan since early 90s (that's right kids, 90s). I've seen a lot of different shows put on by this band, but this definitely ranks up there as the top performance I have been to. Allman Brothers were great, although most of the crowd was too young to appreciate. Piedmont Park and the city of Atlanta will probably want to reconsider how they manage the crowds. Not having any walkways was a big mistake. Maybe next time. All in all, a great night with two great bands. Great show.
