This show was extremely inconsistent and the Bitch closer left a terrible taste in my mouth, but it still had some high points, such as Two Step, Smooth Rider (yes, you're reading that correctly), Rhyme & Reason, and Ants Marching, which had the then-new D&T intro and a nasty Roi solo.

This show was a joke. Thank god I didn't go the night before. They repeated tons of songs again.

The covers suck. Not the songs by the original artists. The covers!

Dave forgot the words to a lot of stuff and ants marching was horrible. I've been to 9 shows. Worst one yet!

Couldn't have asked for more

Seriously, it was as if I wrote 17 songs on a list and gave it to Dave and they played them all. Our seats were DEAD CENTER 4th row pit! Everybody in our section was cool, knowledgeable, respectful, not visibly intoxicated, and not trying to squeeze 3 more of their friends into the two seats they had. The sound quality was pretty good, but it was difficult to hear Dave when he spoke. It was nice that the rain stopped a bit before the show, so we weren't soaked before the show began. Nice also that there were only 3 songs played on both nights.

The setlist....
Don't Drink the Water (Becoming Sue's favorite song, the one song she really wanted to hear)
Two Step (Nice way to blow the roof off the place 2 songs in to the show)
Granny (Holy Shit Moment #1 - I've never heard this live before)
Corn Bread (Warming up to this one more and more)
Smooth Rider (Holy Shit Moment #2- I've never heard this live before)
Rhyme And Reason (Holy Shit Moment #3- I've never heard this live before)
Where Are You Going (The song I heard at the exact moment I became a Dave Head)
Pantala Naga Pampa / Rapunzel (Like #41, Billies, Nancies, this is a timeless classic)
Melissa (Holy Shit Moment #4 - My favorite Alman Brothers song)
Crush (Always a pleasure, Rashawn & Leroi with the solo spot instead of Boyd)
#27 (Gave us a chance to breathe, drink some water and gear up for.....)
Lie In Our Graves (The 1 song I really was hoping for, since last year in WPB. Boyd was on FIRE)
Ants Marching (Interesting new opening, always get the place hoping)
What You Are (Holy Shit Moment #5 - Are you freaking kidding me????)
Louisiana Bayou (Never get tired of the way they jam out at the end of this)
Hey Hey My My (Holy Shit Moment #6 didn't think I'd ever hear this again)
Bitch (Holy Shit Moment #7 even though I am not a Stones fan, I respect their body of work)

I can't tell you how much we appreciated being so close to the stage and the fact that we spent $75 bucks on the tickets through the Warehouse made it all the more sweet. It was cool seeing (for the first time) Dave orchestrating the band, as to when to kick in or cut out. He doesn’t make a lot of eye contact with folks close to the stage, he sort of gazes out into the seats, as if he is trying to connect with everyone. I recognize that the band is going through some growing pains as Tim is finding his way, and they are all figuring their way around Butch leaving. That being said, I wish Boyd was highlighted more than Tim. Boyd is one of the main things that make the DMB "different". It wasn't until Lie in Our Graves that Boyd really got the spotlight. Really had fun watching Carter, what a gifted musician, and the guy I'd most like to have a beer with. He is a BEAST on the drums, and without question, the backbone of the band. It was Stefan’s birthday yesterday, so about 3 or 4 times there was a spontaneous "Happy Birthday" from the crowd, but to be honest, I think he just wished it would go away.

Next stop (for me anyway) West Palm Beach.....
Songs I still "Need" to hear for the first time, Angel, Bartender, Last Stop, JTR, Typical Situation, Big Eyed Fish, Digging a Ditch, Say Goodbye, So Right, Long Black Veil......

The show was great but the scene in the parking lot SUCKED. We had to move our car because I think the people next to us thought it was a Jay-Z concert. When we quietly tried to move our car to another, more chill lot, some dude threw a beer can at my face.

What happened to all the love?

Band is re-working a lot of songs, making for a new sound for some of them that I've heard live before! The covers are great, but to close the show with 2 covers? That was a little disappointing. So happy they played LIOG, Rhyme and Reason, tho!

Absolutely great show. A stellar opening run that really got the crowd into it. Before I say anymore, it should be known that I am writing this review a week late, and a day after I saw the band at Scranton, which was an amazing show as well. Cornbread seems to get better and better with time, and was great with Tim's new solo jam part, but this nights didn't do the Scranton Cornbread any justice, Tim just lit it up there. Moving on, they didn't really miss with the exception of the two-cover encore. Where are You Going is for sure a bathroom break song for me but at least a majority of the crowd sings along, that's the only captivating aspect of that song. Bayou to close was unexpected given that it was played the first night, but is always a great jam and capped the LIOG, Ants,WYA run. It was nice to see Rhyme here again and the Two Step in the second slot was played very well. Everything else was wextremely fantastic with the exception of #27, WAYG, and all of the covers. I don't pay to see DMB cover other people's work, it is their work that has made me such a huge fan of them, not any classic rock band. And if they wanted to play Mellissa in the main set why not nix the covers in the encore, especially Hey Hey My My given that it was the first encore song of night 1. Other than that it was one of the better shows I've been to, but I have certainly heard better versions of LIOG before.

Awesome show, but terrible encore. Why couldn't we get Thank You or at least something different than night one? Two Step was a highlight, especially when after the song Dave said that the was going to have to separate "Mr. Reynolds and Mr. Beauford". You can really see that Carter and Tim jive well together. I did feel a bit bad for Boyd who seemed to take a back seat to Tim in many songs, but it is definately a refreshing change. Still waiting for that new material though...

5 for the show, 2 for the encore. What an opener to the show with DDTW and Two Step followed by granny and cornbread, really got the crowd goin. great runs with rapunzel, ryme and reason, melissa, crush, and not to mention the crazy mix of LIOG with antsmarching. thought the show could have ended several times but they just kept hamering out hits. until the encore :( total buzz kill, but the show was too much fun to complain!

Completely made up for last night. Unbelievable energy -- on point throughout. The only negative was the encore.. 2 covers?? With a decent encore (i.e. ab intro --> watchtower), this would've been a 5 star show. Instead, I'll give it a 4. Overall though, 20 times better than last night.

Lesson learned: Never doubt the Dave Matthews Band.

Show #15 and even though I was 3 sheets to the wind, I would have to say this may have been the best show I have ever been to. Tim with the full band just brings them to a different level, I didn't even care that Butch was missing. All their covers were on point, and all their own songs were sick. Basically it seemed as if they were all like, "hey we're all nasty as eff at our instruments, let's just jam the s*** out of all these songs know."

Rain, rain, rain down on me again and again!! Yes day 2 in Camden brought lots more rain but NO JTR!!!!!!! Thats where I would like to start this review. DDTW well yeah no kidding...it's Jersey why would you??? TS was a great second song very upbeat with lots of great jams. Granny was delightful as always then a second helping of Camden Cornbread. SR with R&R right after that was fantastic Tim Reynolds added an amazing presence on these two favorites. WAYG?? to hell in a handbasket with the rest of this show. PNP>Rapunzel was predictable but good then the first cover of the night was Sweet Melissa and it was sweet but that's it. Crush was as beautiful as ever thanks to Boyd's amazing solo complimented well by Rashawn Ross. Then #27 which is the same as it was last year which is not really saying all that much. LIOG!!!!! Finally something interesting!!! Woo-hoo!! What is really interesting is that they forgot to finish the song!! WTF guys?? AM was especially different cause it had two different beginnings back to back quite odd. WYA was a great suprise inandof itself but it was also pretty much the end of the show. Then we all went to LB for the second night in a row which was fun 3 years ago but I am over it. Then the "encore". For the second time in 2 days DMB does Hey Hey My My it was nice last night but where is the creativity???? I heard the beginning and thought hey hey bye bye but someone might have thought I was a bitch. Apparently DMB thought so cause that's what they covered next. That was the most dissapointing encore I have seen in all my 65 shows!!! I really hope that Nissian does not dissapoint like this one did.

you guys really need to stop the insanity about the encores....an encore is something extra and should never be expected. if your going to root for a song you should root for how they end their set. The dead rarely ever played encores and when they did on special nights, they either did a song of their own they rarely play or a cover. An encore should seem spontanious and not planned. In my humble opinion. The encore was amazing and i was thankful for it. But i'm a huge neil and stones fan. They were really tight and looked like they were having a lot of fun with each other. Tim was on his game and i love what he adds to the sound of the band not to mention the solos. Also love to hear two step in the beginning, loved the water/two step/granny opening...and rhyme was amazing as liog into ants...and as much as i thought i didn't want to hear bayou again, but they made me love it, great ender to the set. great show...i hope tims here to stay and i hope the encores are here to stay...i just hope they keep doing what they want to do.

Not a bad show at all. Dave was a little sloppy with the lyrics tonight but he had tons of energy..... What was up with that Encore??

I'm gonna voice two complaints:
1) Is is me or do the shows seem to be getting shorter and shorter.

2) HOW MANY MORE TIMES DO I HAVE TO HEAR BAYOU?????? Time to shelve it for a while or at least not play it at almost EVERY show. Enough is Enough....... Even though there was lots of energy with the song....I could see others around me would agreee.....

Unbelievable start to the show. I mean it doesn't get much better than a Don't Drink the Water into Two Step opener. Rhyme & Reason, Crush and What You Are were all top notch, but he played Cornbread and Bayou the night before and didn't even finish Lie In Our Graves. Where was the outro??? They just went right into Ants which got me a little upset after rocking out to a great Boyd solo. And then of course the last three songs. Like I said Bayou AGAIN, which is I song I don't really care too much for to begin with, and then two covers for the encore??? I loved the Neil cover the night before but did they have to do it two nights in a row and more importantly, how do they not even finish with one of their own songs??? Started off strong but the last few songs made me walk out disappointed.

woke up on wed tad bit hung-over from the previous nights festivities but was ready to go again. had some lunch at the hotel bar and a few beers when my stomach took a bit of a hit but after a shower and a couple Tylenol all got better. 9 of us headed over around 4 to tailgate and decided not to campbell's field lot again since the previous night was full of drunken high schoolers acting retarded. We took a little shortcut right a parking lot right in front of the venue which was way cooler, there were people are age and everyone was mad cool. The rain came pouring down after about a 1/2 hr.. i mean pouring!!!! so we tried to build a shelter out of a huge tarp that one gril brought, trying to put this up actually was pretty cool bonding experience with our lot neighbors who made the whole experience cooler. we all bought ponchos after it slowed down a lil and decided to just deal with the rain..didnt get nearly as drunk as night 1 which was a good thing. the tailgate was a great time and beieve it or not i think the rain added to the fun. we walked in and after meeting a few more ants took our seats in sec 100 just off the aisle with a great view of the boys on roi's side of the stage. he stage set was cool there was a huge screen in front of the band and they began playing when it lifted up and unveiled their holyness...

set

DDTW ... so pumped at this point and this song is a high energy opener with the crwd singing and screaming along with dave.. absolutely loved it

Two Step... the intro started and i flipped out since it's one of my favs and i never saw it live. i must admit I missed Butch on this one when it kicks in. It was still f'n awesome though especially with timmy. Had me jumping up and down at one point. Lif is shortbut sweet for certain.

Granny.. another first for me which was phenominal. what a 1st 3 for me..

Cornbread.. while i do like the song, i had to take a leak and since ive seen this all but one of my shows now was the time to do this. THis seemed to be a poular theme as i hit some traffic in there.

Smooth Rider... when eaving the bathroom i hear this playing and think , good bathroom break didnt miss nothing that exciting at all. Got back back to my seat and did enjoy the end of the song though. Also ended up talking to this couple n front of us who were cool as shit. we were talking about what we wanted to hear and have heard at shows weve been to.. the girl was going on and on about wanting R&R... she mys have been psychic

R&R .. the girl I had just met was so pumped that i couldnt help to be elated forher and happy myself since i like it. Sounded great and one of my favs of the night.

Where are you going.. everyone with the "to the bathroom" joke ... i admit nt the best dmb song but its still dave and i didnt hate it. time to rest from dancin a bit too and just danced with my beautiful new friend

Happy Bday.. being on fonz's side of the stage everyone was really active singing and chanting happy bday which was alotta fun.. he seemed to really apreciate it

PNP > Rapunzel... 1st time for me to hear it and i loved it, while not one of my favs definitly appreciated the songs

Melissa... i like the song and all but kind of killed the energy if u ask me

Then stefan goes into this little solo thing was really cool right into..

Crush... wow... this one was personal for me so i'm not really gonna go into it.

#27.. ordinary as can be.. needed time to settle some emotion from crush anyway

LIOG.... ok 2nd time ive seen this and may be the song that changed my outlook on life so always touching for me… last years performance night 2 in cmd just about brought me to tears so I was so amped up.. while the song can never be bad in anyway I felt they didn’t really nail it.. don’t get me wrong I loved every sec but just felt it lacked something.. and whats the deal with 2 shows in a row now with no reprise?

ANTS… for me the absolute highlight of the show energy, musically and crowd wise.. which I would have never guessed.. always enjoy it but they really f’n killed it.. little like dave and tim intro into it was the shit and the energy of the place I felt was soooo high, I wanna be back in that moment right now!!!!

What You Are… halllaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuiaaaaaa WHAT YOU ARE?!?!?!?! Get the fuck outta here this is one of my two newer favs and bam here it was following LIOG and ANTS , how the hell can one band make me feel like this over and over in a single evening? Dave’s screams still haunt me ‘Don’t Trust ME, TRUST YOURSELFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!”

Louisiana Bayou… love the jam at the end but thought WYA should have been the closer..

Encore

Hey Hey , My My,,,,again? I do think that it’s a good song for the band and if it was midset instead of WAYG OR Melissa I would have enjoyed it a lot more.. but back to back nights in the encore?

BITCH… You end with this? A Rollingstone cover that isn’t even that popular.. I see the theme of cover songs in the encore going on but why Billies the night before? Just all seems peculiar… sent people leaving during an encore which I have never seen at a dmb show

All in all even though the encore was lack luster, I had an incredible time and is my most memorable, enjoyable show to date due to the 3 song opening stretch, the memorable crush and the 3 song stretch of LIOG>Ants and WYA… What made it even more memorable was the company I was with… and I hope it’s the first of many

This was definitely a great Dave show. Lots of classics like Crush, Two Step, Lie in our Grave and Ants Marching. The show started off with so much energy. The new thing with hiding the band is cool. Don't drink the water into Two Step is a pretty awesome start. The show was pretty on point but the encore was weird. Not sure what was going on there. I know it's a new song but was hoping for a real great ending like Warehouse or something we know to send us on our way. Kind of ended weird but the main set was really good. Didn't miss Butch at all. Boyd didn't get to go nuts very much except during LIOG. Usually he is all over the place but not so much this show. Timmy definitely brings something different to the show and I like what I saw. Definitely an upgrade there. Overall, the show was full of energy and very fun. Not a knock out like the last two years but a great run of the mill Dave show.

i've never done an extended review, but this is as good a time as any to write one.. this was my 22nd overall show and my 4th show of this tour, so i've seen every show thus far and this, by far, was the best.. i was in 104 row K (best seats i've had) and will never forget this night ever again

ddtw- awesome.. i knew it was ddtw when the screens were orange, and it was perfect, such an aggressive song and really sets the mood for an intense night

two step- perfect second song. we got it at camden as an opener last year, and second was just as good.. really good version, dave improved the lyrics during the intro unlike last saturday, and musically it was tight

granny- awesome. i could chant "love! baby!" all day.. the happy birthday chant that ensued after this for fonzi was awesome too

cornbread- everybody, whether they've heard this song 100 times or never heard it before, loves this song.. so much fun

smooth rider- dave on his 6 string acoustic makes this song a lot better because he really utilizes his uncanny ability to mute the guitar as he plays and it sounds great, best version of the song i've heard

rhyme and reason- really like it.. i knew it was either this or smts based on the guitar and where dave's hand was, and i was really happy they picked this.. tim was rocking, and so was roi and shawn and you could see dave grooving during the jam.. extended jam and for good reason

wayg- seen it a lot and don't mind it, tonight was cool because everybody was singing along

pnp > rapunzel- amazing.. i don't like what tim plays during pnp, he should just wait for rapunzel to start before he plays.. rapunzel was tight though, dave didn't mess up, and the band loved it, one of the highlights

melissa- i liked it, i know a lot of people don't.. definitely better than burgettstown, and the crowd was into it a lot more

crush- one of the best parts of the show.. i thought it was weird that they hadn't played crush or warehouse yet this tour, and i was happy to get one of then.. fonzi's intro was AWESOME, dave was dancing all over the place.. if that was fonzi's goody-bag for his birthday then i thank him very much.. crowd sang along really loudly, which i absolutely love, definitely a great version

#27- doesn't change, but doesn't get boring either

liog- i love hearing the opening chords to this song, you just know something good is going to happen.. boyd's solo was so good.. it was one of those solo's that he has during this song that just makes you feel good about love and you can't help but stand there in complete awe.. you could see dave cooking something up when he turned around at the end because he kept pointing to different members,

ants- finally he turned around and started to play the verse riff for the song, and it was so cool.. he and tim did a d&t version of the first verse, and i figured the band would kick in right before the chorus, but when carter hit the snare they actually started ants FROM THE BEGINNING.. it was sooo cool.. dave got ahead of himself when he sang the first verse and shook his head and laughed, but we got the first verse d&t and then got the whole song after.. crowd was soo into it, one of the best performances of any song i've ever seen at any concert.. when it was over i was satisfied with the show and thought they'd head into the encore, but they didn't

what you are-- awesome, really intense.. the crowd loved it.. it was so unexpected which added to the excitement, what a cool way to end the show.. wait a minute..

bayou- once wya ended dave started ripping through the opening riff to bayou so fast, it sounded really cool.. i will be honest, i dn't care what people on this board think, but this song is a blast live.. i could have it at every show i go to and be happy.. it gets the crowd so worked up, especially this version

hey hey my my- so happy the played it again.. i loved it at n1 and was hoping they'd play it again and they did.. such a good song.. perfect for the band, and frankly i think their version is better than neil's

bitch- pretty bummed they played it.. i was actually really hoping for dave to go right into stay like he went right intp billies last night ,because the way the crowd was acting they would have loved it, but it was still a tight performance

amazing show, awesome two ngiht stand.. i would say this ranks 2nd among the 22 i've seen

This was a great show. I really loved the first night better but I think the solos in this show were so much stronger and made the show! Boyd's solo during LIOG was one of the longest I have ever heard and I would have loved it if it was 20 minutes long. I couldn't get enough of it! Didn't like 2 covers for the encore. Hey Hey My My is a good song but I didn't need to hear it two nights in a row. Also wasn't a fan of the final encore song at all.

I also feel these shows were kind of short. Last year at SPAC dave played more than 20 songs and this year he didn't even play that many with the encore. With that said this setlist was 100x better than last year's SPAC setlist.

Two Step--Probably one of the best (if not the best) performance I have heard. The big blow up at the beginning just doesn't sound the same without Butch, but Tim gave one of the most creative solo's I've heard in a while. For all of you not at the show, it's well worth the download.

10/10

Granny--Great to hear for the first time. Good way to keep "teh energiez!" going.

8/10

Cornbread--I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever find the appeal of this song. I've heard it 4 times live already and it gets more and more unbearable everytime.

3/10

Smooth Rider--This song has no redeeming qualities. Matt hated it so much that he actually went to use the bathroom for the first time at a DMB show.

2/10

Rhyme and Reason--Not really the spectacle I expected it to be. A second listen to the tape might be neccessary in order to get the rating right.

7.5/10

Where are you Going--Well Dave, to the bathroom.

3/10

PNP>>Rapunzel--Nice to hear Tim during the bridge but Roi never went really "off" at the end.

7/10

Melissa--As boring as sin. I like the original, but this has the same effect as Stolen Away...a good song to actually rest you legs and take a seat.

6/10

Crush--YES!!! THE ONE SONG I WANTED TO HEAR WITH TIM!!! AND YET...Tim never had a solo. Instead, Rashawn stood up there looking absolutely lost for the first few minutes and the jam never really went anywhere. A real opportunity lost.

7/10

#27--The song has yet to change in anyform whatsoever.

7/10

LIOG--Far inferior to last year. Carter actually ruined the jam but playing a slower drum pattern over Boyds solo...completely the opposite of the amazing life changing spectacle of last year. Tim never really went into a "solo" (a la LiC) but more or less did some layering as the song closed.

8.5/10 (OMG!!! DID HE JUST DO THAT! )

Ants--One of the highlights of a strange evening. The song seemed to start out D&T and then the whole band came in at the strangest moment. Dave also like's to repeat himself.

9/10

What You Are--As Mike stated earlier, it definitely wasn't loud enough or "in your face" as previous versions were. I thought it would close yet...

8/10

Bayou--see last nights review

2/10

ENCORE

Ye shall never close a show with two covers. So it is written, so it shall be done.

4/10

Overall: C+

It had it's moments, but they were too few and far between. The SU songs along with the 2 07' songs are quickly becoming "OK, how much longer until these are over" songs.

Crowd: C+

Better than N1 (as expected) but still to sparadic.

Overall, I officially concede defeat to any Alpine, SPAC, and the Gorge for best show this tour. Camden has officially lost its crown.

Great show and good set list. Sound was mixed poorly tho. couldn't hear tim or horns for alot of the show on the right side. Different Ants intro with Dave repeating a verse, I assume by mistake!

Granny - this song means so much to me. loved hearing it for the first time

Corn Bread - love Tim's solo

Melissa - this seems to becoming more of a favorite cover w/ the band and crowd

Crush - classic. Loved Rashawn's trumpet solo

Lie In Our Graves - the most beautiful rendition of LIOG ever. Boyd's solo brought tears to my eyes

Ants Marching - I loved the D&T start

Hey Hey My My & Bitch - nice to see them doing covers this year. Makes the anticipation less and the suspense high.

Night 1 was definitely better, however, there were two moments i was completely and utterly blown away.
1. Stefan's intro to Crush was by far the best thing played at either night. No words can describe what he did.
2. Boyd TORE LIOG apart. I wish it would have just ended there. thats how good it was.

AND EVERYONE STOP PRAISING THE 2 COVER ENCORE. It was a terrible end to pretty good night. I hope it never happens again.

All in all, this is a good setlist. Good energy, etc and all that other stuff. I had pretty decent seats and was sitting around a bunch of pretty cool people (except for the guy that was 7 feet tall about 3 rows in front of us). I heard some songs that I didn't hear at the Post-Gazette, but I was a little disappointed that i DID hear many of the same songs. Another disappointing thing was that the only new song on the 4th night of the tour that the band played (that they hadn't played already this tour) was what you are, which I definitely enjoyed because I've never heard it anyway. Again, I gave the show 4 stars because it was very good. But, this being my 10th show, I had great expectations, and was hoping that the band would open up their song selection a little bit more. Even seeing the set lists 2 shows after Camden, I'm surprised to see that the band is sticking to the same selection of about 30 songs. And obviously, the band has over 100 to choose from. I don't know why they keep insisting on playing Bayou. This song could be better with less "down by the bayOOOU!" and just get to the jam section faster. Also 27 is a buzz-killer. It's cool, but not for every night. And you might die trying...pretty big bathroom break for lots of people, i'm sorry to say. I'm seeing them in Hershey in 3 weeks. I HOPE they open up some more songs by then cuz Hershey is usually pretty killer. Again, a good show, but there are SO MANY SONGS that people would just love to hear - casual fans, and the die-hards.

Great show and great energy from the crowd and the band! The rain held off for the most part and it was another great evening with DMB. Don't Drink the Water is always a great way to start the show. The set list really kept the place rocking for most of the night with Rapunzel being a personal highlight. I would have given this show a 5 if not for the encore...2 covers left everyone kinda like is that it!?! But overall a great show!

The music was great, but the fans around me were absolutely retarded. From the kid peeing all over himself, to the Penn State freaks who pushed us all back and started chanting Penn State chants during the jams- these fans left what to be desired.
