Two Step was borderline unreal and the overall show was great. Wish they would of played more covers like last year's "Money" duo mid-show. Warehouse, Corn Bread, Two Step and Bartender in one show are hard to complain about though. Another great show by DMB!

Started strong and then drifted off 5-6 songs in. Great Jimi (2nd Sexy and love it) and 41. Strange crowd in my area, some were major into it, while others spent the whole show talking. Great the rain held out.

Great show. Arguably the best Jimi Thing I've ever heard and the new songs were all great. I was a little disappointed with the end of the regular set with You and Me and Time Bomb, and Sister for the E1 slot, but the Grey Street finale was fantastic.

Not bad but not that good. I really like the looong # 41! Jimi Thing was probably the best I have heard... Doesn't compare to Night 2 but still good none the less!

This was one of the most memorable Dave shows in WPB, and I am a dedicated attendant. It was like I was blown away by almost every song and it was great to hear to old fuzed with the new.

'Typical' was great--very high energy most of the show. The encore was so-so, but Dave clearly enjoyed himself and any time 'little thing' is teased; there is reason to be excited for night 2. ;) great show

Thought it was just so-so. Typical, Jimi, and #41 we fantastic though. Really enjoyed the guest trombonist, Lasim Richards, soloing alongside Rashawn and Jeff's dual saxes on Jimi. The rest of the show was ok, but nothing special. The encore was a real letdown.

The streak of WPB N1s being better than N2s had to end sometime, and this one did the trick, but by no means was it a bad one. The first few songs had me thinking that this was going to be a casual fan kind of a night (Jake went rushing past me for a well-deserved beer when YMDT started), especially after Crash showed up so early, but then Typical came in out of nowhere (a first for me), and suddenly all bets were off.

It did turn out to be kind of a casual fan night, but the band was in good form, and was starting to stretch out some of the Big Whiskey songs , all of which I was hearing in person for the first time (although none of the performances of those songs did much to change my opinions, good and bad, from what I'd heard on the tapes). Dug the guest trombone player, who I've since heard is Rashawn's best friend and lives in Miami. He was definitely a nice touch for the 4 he sat in on (loved the solos going up and down the line between him, Rashawn, and Jeff on Jimi Thing).

Speaking of stretching it out, tonight had to have been the longest versions of Jimi and #41 that the band has played this summer, particularly #41, which must have been edging close to 25 minutes. I think everyone onstage except Carter and Fonz had solos on it (yes, even Dave had a bit of a solo).

The jams were cool, although they did cause the crowd to lose focus a bit here and there, and it cut into what I can only assume was a longer encore than the 12 minutes we got. Curse the Cruzan curfew!

All in all, though, a great start to the weekend. Had fantastic seats (Sec. 2, Row Q), saw a few Ants that I hadn't seen in awhile, met a few others for the first time, and shot the shit with Jeff Brock, who guaranteed his tape would be up before the end of the night (and what do you know, it was). Definitely left me eager for N2 and was pretty damn good in its own right.

Jimi Thing with Rasim on trombone was amazingly funky. No disrespect to the late Roi, but Jimi had one of the best horn jams I've ever heard with DMB - Just a full horns section of talented musicians really playing in sync.

The band sounded great and very tight last night...from what I could hear. The volume on the lawn was absolutely terrible! I didnt even feel like I was at the show. I left very disappointed and with a bad taste in my mouth. It was such a tease.

I've seen Dave two other times before at this venue, once in the pavillion and once on the lawn, and have never had a problem.

Based on overall experience I would give the show a 1. Red Light Management and Live Nation can expect a letter from me.

The opener was mediocre at best, but the band started strong. A great middle section was somewhat diminished by the closing song. The encore was very energetic, but I was outside the theatre before the encore came on. I listened from outside, and it sounded great.

Fantastic show. My boyfriend's FIRST concert. Great seats. SO HAPPY he got to hear some good oldies 41, Typical, Nancies, Jimi.
New songs were pretty good. Good concert for lovers (So Damn Lucky, Crash, You & Me, Seven).
Some say the energy wasn't there... don't know where they were sitting. Energy was GREAT. I sang my ass off.
Not a fan of Spaceman - bathroom break.

I was dog tired from work and sitting in the heat to get my spot, but it was a very strong set. One or 2 less BW songs would have been OK, but they were all done well.

Jeff tears it up on everything he plays, and Boyd ripped it on Jimi Thing. Sexy Motherfucker, shaking that ass...I love it when Fonzie and Boyd play next to each other with that huge grin on his face!

Anyway, the closer was a letdown...we were hoping for Watchtower or Halloween. But, if history holds true, N2 is always stronger than N1, so maybe we'll be in for some treats tonight!

Medium show, terrific rendition of Crash. Grey Street was an amazing ender. The show as a whole just didn't energize the crowd though. People just seemed to be there. The energy was great for So Damn Lucky and Crash, but other then that the place seemed dead.

Amazing show, the crowd was great, and even with the heat everyone was having a great time! I've seen better lighting set-ups, and it seemed like there were fewer solos than usual, but still fabulous. Haven't seen Typical Situation since '97, what a great moment... can't wait for tonight!!
