Solid show. Loved So Right and Everyday is a great way to start any show. I\'m bummed I got extremely dunk during the back half of the show and don\'t remember Don\'t Drink the Water (one of my favorites) and So Damn Lucky.
I had amazing seats and was really bummed that nothing came available for Saturday's show (even though i was extremely hung over). Looking forward to the downloading this one. See you in Alpine!

Still loved seeing them for the first time in 2 years and they seem to be having a lot of fun! So Right, Typ Sit, and The Stone were amazing!!!! What a wonderfully surprising concert, with the mid-set Watchtower as the shock-and-awe moment of the show. I was one of the masses who thought it was Gravedigger when Dave played around with that Am chord, but thankfully this was one of the four times a year I\'m wrong. Gary Clark Jr won over some fans with that guest appearance.
And thanks to the lovely lady Krystal for making the concert even better. Trust me, you are the better dancer.
For the record, one of the best feelings in this world is hearing the final notes of a great Night One and then thinking \\\"I get to do this all over again tomorrow!\\\" Welcome back to Indy, DMB. - Jim

My 32nd show overall and 9th at Deer Creek.
Everyday is my second favorite opener and Ants is quintessential DMB, so awesome opener and closer. I was PSYCHED to hear Everybody Wake Up for the second time this summer - that song rips hard! As most have already said, mid-set Watchtower was a sweet surprise. I got \'So Right\' for the first time and The Stone was sweet, but an expected highlight for this venue.
Overall, perfect weather, terrific seats (thank you WH) and I received my 3rd Carter stick. I actually caught one this time, instead of dropping it or missing it!

My first ever Eh Hee (full band), EWU, Mercy, Gaucho, and SDL (full band).
The Stone - I loved Carter conducting the audience to sing the Can't Help Falling in Love interpolation
Mercy - the fireflies on the video screens fit the mood of this jam perfectly
Mid-set Watchtower AND Gary Clark Jr - Awesome
Typical Situation - I went nuts when this started, couldn't believe it! Great work, Creekers. Even though normally Typical falls under the category of "happy to hear it, but don't particularly miss it" for me, knowing about the Twitter campaign and everything made it so much more awesome to hear.
Ants Marching - I liked Boyd's work on the intro, always nice to hear a little new spice in an old classic.

The show was very good - lots of people dancing, singing, and enjoying the show. The live version of Crush was awesome! "Eh Hee", "So Right", "Funny the Way it Is", and "Ants Marching" were really fun and exciting performances."The Stone", 'Watchtower", and "Squirm", which seem to have trended upward in live performances since the release of Big Whiskey, were also as good as we have come to expect from DMB.
Performers did really well, but the set list was very low key to me in general. I think the following night was a little more exciting. I particularly don't like "Proudest Monkey" as a live festival song. A lot of slow songs including, "Proudest Monkey", "Gaucho", and "Out of My Hands" with a long piano solo. Dave is an awesome guitarist, but should probably get a little more proficient at the piano before playing solos in front of 25,000 people. He sorta looks like he is studying the keys while attempting to play.
Favorite moment: Crush!

Overall, a solid performance. Highlights included The Stone, Typical Situation, Watchtower midset, Crush, LIOG, Satelite, So Right (one I was waiting to hear), DDTW (a very hard rocking version with tons of energy between the band and crowd), Ants Marching as the closer. My only complaint would be that it seemed to take the show several songs to get moving. A good show... but somehow we needed a more somewhat subdued Friday for the insanity that was to become an absoultely killer set Saturday Night. A great start to the 2 day stand at Deer Creek. Again, BTW- if they do a 2 stand in your area... be sure to hit both nights!! It will be worth it I promise.

Typical Situation ... almost enough said right there. This was a night one set that almost never stopped. While I can always go without hearing Out of My Hands, as well as Everybody Wake Up, both fit extremely well tonight. The mid-set watchtower took the level right back up after Mercy => Out of My Hands allowed it to dwindle a bit. The Stone was phenomenal, and Gaucho has the potential to be one of my new favorite songs. Still, Typical Situation was other-worldly, and then to get a all out DDTW after it blew my mind. Ending with Ants was the perfect way to take it all in.

This was my 11th DMB show and first time attending any show let alone a DMB show at Klipsch Music Center aka Deer Creek in Noblesville. I attended the Blossom show earlier this tour and the energy and enthusiasm from the crowd and the band along with great jams would be hard to top. While Night 1 was truly exceptional, it never quite got off the ground until the end of the show. But, WOW did they end on a high note! The crowd definitely was more into the older stuff tonight, but with some nice surprises and the success of the Typical twitter campaign. I am so glad I attended this show. I was in Section C, the closest I have ever been for a DMB show so I really got to see the enjoyment on each band members face really well especially Stefan and Dave. It set a good foundation set for the extraordinary Night 2.
EVERYDAY- A nice opener for the night. The crowd was pretty into it for opening the set singing along with Dave and Boyd.
EH HEE- I know it has been pretty popular for whatever reason this tour. I enjoy Eh Hee, I like it better as a Dave and Tim song but it was a good heavy performance to follow the mellow Everyday.
THE STONE- The crowd went crazy at Dave started strumming the opening chords. Jeff and Carter really got into it and the crowd sang Can’t Help Falling In Love with some encouragement from Carter.
YOU & ME- I was happy to hear this with my wife who attended with me as it was our wedding song. I am glad she got to hear it since she did not get it at Blossom. I thought it was a little odd placement after the explosive Stone outro but a good rendition. I love how it starts out so quiet and ends high energy when it is played live.
PROUDEST MONKEY- Keeping with the slower tempo of You & Me, Proudest Monkey kept the crowd energy at bay. Don’t get me wrong, they were definitely into it, but I think hopes (including mine) were high for a solid run after the Stone. Proudest Monkey as always helped Rashawn and Tim shine with awesome solos.
SATELLITE- Crowd was really excited to hear this one. A standard rendition for a live performance. Dave and Time sped the tempo up occasionally at Blossom which I was hoping to see them do again because it added a little more to the song, but it was your standard Satellite.
EWU- Glad I got to hear this again since its liberation at Blossom. It has definitely come a bit further along. I love the way Dave sings it now compared to the pacing of the album version. The outro is awesome! A must hear. Tim really adds a lot to it.
CRUSH- A nice short intro from Stefan and the crowd grew with excitement. Boyd really did a great job with this one.
SO RIGHT- As soon as I saw the electric come out, I was hoping to hear this. Definitely one of the songs that has grown on me since hearing it a couple years ago.
MERCY- Prior to the start of this song, an intense verbal dispute broke out between a few fans in the row behind me which kind of ruined the end of So Right for me, but it was funny because as soon as this song started the fight started to die down and then the lyrics really resonated. It was almost as if the song calmed them down and Dave was speaking to them (in my eyes.) I love the outro this song and hope it is similar on the album. The piano was very evident tonight in terms of how loud it was compared to the horns. The crowd did not clap along at the end like they did at Blossom so energy was brought down a bit and stayed down as Dave stayed at the piano with…
OOMH- a nice prelude intro from Dave. Dave played it slightly differently tonight. He played more actual piano chords then just single notes. The crowd was not that into it but it was interesting to hear him play it a little more confidently on the piano.
WATCHTOWER- Gary Clark Jr. was introduced by Dave and came out to join the band for a song. Was very curious to what they would play. I guess my ears were rusty or maybe because I have just heard Gravedigger a lot more over the years and have only heard Watchtower live once or maybe because there was no Fonz intro but I really thought it was Gravedigger as did the people around me. Then it became more and more eveident it was in fact Watchtower and the crowd really went nuts as Dave began to sing. Gary killed it on the guitar and a nice solo that specifically let him bring down the house. This was the turning point of the concert as the crowd was super pumped as was the band after this MID SET WATCHTOWER! AMAZING!
SQUIRM- Way to keep the energy and heaviness up. Dave’s voice sounded great on it. One of my Big Whiskey Faves and was very happy to hear it.
GAUCHO- The only new song I have not heard live in person yet. I really liked how it compared to the studio cut. The lights that shine around the band in sync with Tims guitar is really cool. Carter played the heartbeat which was a cool effect especially since it is not always super evident on the studio cut. Just a great song that highlights the entire band.
FTWII- Absolutely love the new intro to this song. It really changes it up. It makes it have so much more dynamic. Awesome solo from Boyd.
TYPICAL SITUATION- YES! The twitter campaign worked. Holy crap, I could not believe it. Yes, it would have been awesome to get it with the N2 set, but this brought N1 to a whole new level. If they release Noblesville as a live trax, it now needs to be released as both nights like Fenway for this song alone. The outro jam was amazing. Carter did some really subtle tempo changes and Jeff and Rashawn did awesome. I wish this song would last forever. So happy I could check it off my list.
DDTW- A great way to end the set. The crowd was totally different from the start of the show from Watchtower on. After hearing Typical, they probably could have played Bayou and the crowd would have went nuts. A very cool way to end the set.
ENCORE
SO DAMN LUCKY- Nothing too different. A little Digging a Ditch interpolation but no Thank You outro or anything like that. Nonetheless I love this song in an encore. Makes you really wonder what they will follow a long jam like this with…
ANTS MARCHING- Best version ever. Find it, listen to it, love it. Carter started with the snare then went into a solo and then Boyd come in out of nowhere with a country/hoedown type solo along with him. As soon as Boyd started with that Dave had a little WHAT THE!? Moment with the crowd. Boyd killed it from beginning to end. Once again, I can’t say enough about how cool the intro was. I could listen to that over and over again. Great way to end the show.
The band was definitely easing back into it after a few days off. Not a ton of surprises tonight, but highlights like the midset watchtower and Typical made this a night to remember. A good mix of all albums except for Crash. While the crowd was not really into it until Watchtower, the pace tonight was really good. It had a good build up. Second half kicked the first half’s butt, however overall the band gave it their all. Night 2 review to follow shortly…
