The jammed out hard, but the setlist had no surprises. I am not complaining about that though because it was a show for more than just die hard DMB fans. The jams on the songs they played were spectacular though.

Not the best show. Traveled 12 hours for a really dry set. Still a DMB show.

Drove 19 hours to see this shit set list. Seeing them on the beach and Full Band Save Me gave it an extra star.

I know fest crowds are bad, but this was the worst bunch of kids I have ever seen anywhere. Yeah I must be getting too old, but they really were horrible, puking in the sand, punching girls in the face, getting in my face....Even Dave said something about how everyone is probably asleep not watching the show b/c of how lit he saw people when he out that morning.

although it was my first dave show it def wont be the last. me and my friends watched from the front row, well like 5 rows back considering it was just a crowd on the beach but the crowd was so intense and dave played sum classics. def an awesome show.

Great show as always... Coming from Chicago it was a realistic place to see my first show of the 2012 tour. Big Eyed Fish was a perfect song to start with considering the ocean was 20 feet away. Gad to hear Save Me with the entire band. Watchtower with the firework finale was SiC

Sound from the band was perfect, minus Dave's scratchy voice. Set list was pretty unimpressive, but you could tell the the band was still having a blast, and that's all that matters in the end...

First time to see DMB at a Festival since 1997 when they opened for the Smashing Pumpkins and Rolling Stones at Texas Motor Speedway. hugely different vibe than a DMB only show. Huge crowd ready to cheer on and vibe on just about anything so tons of energy all over for what was kind of a standard at best set list. Dave and the boys made my "they always start on time" prediction look silly when they came out 20 min late. So great to see DMB again on tour, been a year and a half since their LAST STOP in Chicago at Wrigley. So when they hit the stage, definitely got chills. Great to see the band with our toes in the sand, surrounded by 35,000 people. Highlight - Squirm and Watchtower. at the end of Watchtower, dave sang the part "the wind begin to BLOW" and the sky lit up with huge bursts of fireworks - more goosebumps. Nice to see dave after the show jump down and hug everyone on the front row who would have had to be there for 12 hours or more to get those spots... see you in Burgettstown and all three california shows!

The show was dominated by Big Whiskey, the sound was focused primarily on the front of the crowd, and Dave had the dreaded frog in his throat. I know he will work it out, so im not fretting.

Dave was soooo fucked up. He forgot his lyrics a lot! I was also with him so it was still awesome! I kept him on pace. The audience was helping a lot but it turned out sickkk. Save me and Eh hee were easily the best songs played.

Energy at this show was phenomenal! I was about 30 feet from the stage at the festival. waited 8 1/2 hours and well worth it! Dave even came out into the crowd as the fireworks were going off. Good performance!

Heard my favorites (#41 & Two Step) with a ton of my friends with my toes in the sand! Too far away to see much. Pretty sure Dave played piano on Mercy =))) Fireworks are always a nice finish too! Thanks Hangout Fest!

Shows on the beach are fun, but this was crazy crowded and not sloped like an amphitheater. Still, the show was great and highlights included EhHee and a sweet 2Step. Worth the price for sure. Commence week long hangover...

Good show. Tight, crisp, but not "fresh." Typical festival set, a little short maybe. 3 Stars. As for the weekend, Jack White stole the stage!

Disappointing and underwhelming show. After watching the Caravan shows which were so good I was really expecting them to do so much more closing the Festival on the beach with a 3 hour time slot, but it never took off. (Too much Big Whiskey). Jimi Thing and #41 saved the night, but it could have been so much better ....

I definitely enjoyed the concert. The boys were having a great time up there however they did play a lot of Big Whiskey. Understandable as it is a festival. Looking forward to my next show.

The band was energetic especially with Two Step and Watchtower. I enjoyed the Big Eyed Fish opener, the new Mercy, and the intense closing. He did play A LOT of Big Whiskey which is a great album, but I wish he would have mixed it up a bit more with some older stuff. The show did not have an impressive set list, shorter than I had hoped for, but still a lot of fun to watch.
I did get to sit in the VIP area which was spectacular. I liked it when Dave just sat down on the edge of the stage to watch Tim.

Was really let down by the Big Whiskey Album Tour Part 6 (except for Squirm). The high points of the night were great (Big Eyed Fish - DDTW - #41 - Two Step) but there weren't enough of them to save this same generic set that the band has been playing for the last 3+ years. At this point I'm still undecided about going to another show this summer.

I had to let this show sit a few days before writing my review. Over all the weekend was amazing! So much fun that I am already thinking about making the drive from Iowa again to attend even if DMB does not headline.
Now for DMB. I had a friend drop me off at the closest gate to the main stage at around 8am where I was seventh in line. After the gates open and we made the sprint to the rail, security stopped everyone about 100 feet from the rail so that DMB could finish loading all their equipment....well this took about an hour and so during that hour the pack waiting to run to the rail grew from about 50 to 200 people...basically it didn't matter how early you arrived. Once security gave us the ok, the sprint to the rail absolute hell...it was like storming the beach of Normandy with other fans tripping and falling in the sand face first while being potentially trampled by the other 200 fans who were sprinting through the sand.
I managed to get a spot on the rail and waited for the show to start. The opening acts were great and then the band took the stage. Being a festival I knew not to expect much from the setlist, so I was going to be happy with one non festival staple. The opening run got me rather excited...starting with Big Eyed Fish nto DDTW was a great start. Seven was expected but Grace is Gone and Eh Hee were nice to hear because neither were played full band in 2011. I like Mercy a lot and #41 was a highlight for me. In the end five of the last eight songs of the main set were BW songs and that was the only time I felt let down.
For the encore the full band Save Me was surreal, but the best part of the show was when Dave jumped down into the area between the stage and the crowd and gave high fives and hugs to the crowd. I managed to get a hand shake and a thank you which made the whole trip worth it.
It's great to see the band back on the road! See y'all soon.

Looking just at the setlist the show stunk, but a star gets added because we were front and center and another is added because we were on the freakin beach listening to DMB!

Great performance of the band but not the best setlist ever. 6 BWGK songs is waaaay too much. The only things that saved it for me were Big Eyed Fish and 41. Also Mercy live was absolutely beautiful.
