This review is not factoring in the acoustic set at all. The acoustic set was great. It was very predictable though. When I wrote up my setlist predictions before the show, I ended up get 7 out of the 8 songs they played correct (had Stay Or Leave instead of Slip Slidin Away). Left Camden pretty darn depressed last night. I have seen the band the past 8 years or so at this venue. Night 2 was fantastic in prior years. Could not get over how the show started. I agree with some of the other negative posts people wrote. It does not get any worse than Spacebread to start the show. I was convinced after those two horribly bad songs that something incredible would be played with the third song. Something along the lines with Seek Up or The Stone. Save Me is basically the exact opposite of incredible. And by the way, let's follow that up with Write A Song and Belly Belly Nice. After that horrifically bad start I said to my friend, "Well, at least they got their crap songs out of the way, they are about to go on a great run." Unfortunately, I was wrong again. Every other show you will hear 41 and Grey Street. I was livid at this point. Even though the Say Goodbye to follow it was fantastic, it could not save this show. It reminded of night 2 at Wrigley Field. They ended that show with The Last Stop (my all-time favorite song), but everything leading up to it was generic and overplayed as hell. Three of the last four songs yesterday were Jimi Thing, Crash Into Me, and Two Step. I have heard those songs to death by now. They are tolerable and enjoyable with the assumption you mix in some rare gems leading up to them. This simply did not happen yesterday. I would love for DMB to retire some of their songs for awhile. Their shows would actually be exciting a new for a change. They really, really, missed the mark for a night 2 at Camden.

got there before the lot opened (saw fonzi in his bus driving in), I hate camden, Lawn crowed sucked, and the acoustic set is NOT social hour! but let's talk about the band. Fantastic! first show of the tour and the acoustic gets a stamp of approval. show pleased hard cores with GGtime, write a song, slip slide, minarets and more depending on your preferences. I dont care what people say, Jimi is always awesome and featured a "superstition" by Stevie wonder from rashawn which was foreshadowed from the house music. two step book-ending was great. really dig timmy's echo effect during the solo. up near the top of the 15 shows I've seen.

Always had Camden as dmb favorite venue/crowd after the two shows this year and the history of shows and the reputation of the crowd (which Dave acknowledged in the first night saying we basically are the top dog) I don't even wanna hear about alpine or any other venue. These two shows were awesome night one might have been the best show I've ever seen/heard ( should be a live trax /DVD in my opinion) and night two was a top 5. I always feel like the crowd is one big entity in Camden and the shows are that much better add the past two years set lists I feel lucky the Philly area I can call my home venues. Good job philly/jersey. See ya next time. And yes I saw the set list night 2 in Indiana. Night 1 Camden. Still overall better.

I really enjoyed the acoustic set. I liked the change of show and the songs the band played for this set. I think I have been to, too many Camden shows and need to expand outside of NJ. The crowd is either stuck up or a bunch of young drunk kids. Was really hoping for the lovely ladies to come out and surprise the crowd with Long Black Veil! The second set was ok, #41 is always a great song to hear live.

Loved this set list. Loved this show. Loved the band's energy. E.g. Jimi, he did not sing the second verse and just shot this gaze at the audience and did not break it for a few seconds. I loved it. The hate in here makes me smile. This show may have overtaken west palm n1 last year as my favorite.

Probably the best set I have seen since 2006 and it was ruined by BB&T\'s necessity to over crowd the Pit. Never again will I do pit in Camden.

Wow what a bunch of spoiled and whiny reviews so far. Review the show on its own merit and not based on last night or last year. Amazing concert they were killing it and it looked like the band was having a hell of time. PFWYG LIOG Bartender GGT Granny 41 Grey Street Say Goodby Minarets DIOD Crash Two Step. Loved how they opened it with acoustic two step and closed with electric. Oh and to the people saying there was no creative first time that happened since 2002 first time liog ending a set since 99 First time Granny did since 1993. Wish I was going back again tonight

Camden N2 has a way of spoiling people. I don't think the show lived up to everyone's expectations, but frankly, it was the best I have heard the band play, even if all of my favorites weren't played. It was a damn good time.

This show was again awesome, the overall flow was disrupted which is the only reason it gets a 4 instead of a 5. It looked like Carter needed to have his drum fixed after almost all of the first several songs in the electric set. That slowed things down a bit. Save Me was a huge clunker and I don't think it works electric anymore, stick with it in acoustic and I would be much happier. That place was crazy after cornbread and that took all the energy right down and out. The acoustic set didn't flow very well either as they raised the bar so high with what they did Night one. The run from 41 on in the electric was insane!! The energy was really high and the way the band surprised everyone with two step and played the heck out of it was awesome. I find it strange that people are complaining about Jimi Thing, Grey St, and 41. Those are some of the songs that probably made you love DMB in the first place and they are the songs they play extremely well and tonight was no different. Overall, great show! cannot wait for Deer Creek

Great set lists, Great show! One of my favorites! This show had to be the best so far of the summer of 2014. I went with my friends Dan, Carol, and Rob. I had a “good good time” back in Camden tailgating in the parking lot with all my lovely DMB friends. The acoustic set was excellent from start to finish, opening up with “Bartender”, followed by a surprising, wonderful cover of Paul Simon’s “Slip Slidin’ Away”. “Pay For What You Get” sounded perfect, as did another cover song; John Denver’s “Take Me To Tomorrow”. “So Damn Lucky” was amazing with the crowd singing “Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin!” at the end! In addition, “Minarets” sounded amazing and a mind-blowing “Lie In Our Graves” ended the extraordinary acoustic set! The electric set would be spectacular! The opening with “Spaceman” into “Cornbread” was really groovy and “Save Me” was just outstanding tonight! A pleasant surprise was “Write A Song”, a song I never heard live and in person before, but thought it was splendid and really liked it. You also can’t get “too much love” with “Belly Belly Nice”, which sounded great! I was so happy they played “#41” since I was sitting in section 202, row T, seat #41 and it really sounded excellent with every band member shining on this and every song that was played tonight. The entire band sounded amazing tonight!  A fantastic “Grey Street”, with an extended, rocking jam at the end, and a beautiful rendition of “Say Goodbye” followed and both were marvelous! “Good Good Time”, which I haven’t heard since 2004, was another pleasant, wonderful surprise and had forgotten how good of a song it is. I really liked it. An outstanding performance of “Jimi Thing”, once again allowed all band members to shine tonight, including Dave Matthews himself, who improvised and provided some wild noises and lovely scat singing of his own to make this a truly epic version. The set would end with “Granny”, which was quite surprising, wonderful and all-together brilliant! The encore provided the audience with a beautiful version of the classic hit, “Crash Into Me”, which would only be followed by an outstanding rendition of “Two Step” that jammed and really rocked the house! I loved every second of it! This was an epic performance by DMB and one of their best shows ever in Camden, New Jersey! I loved both acoustic and electric sets, and the way they shined on every song. This was one of my favorite DMB concerts of all-time!

SOLID SHOW!!! for all those i dont like spacebread as an opener and the show didnt really start for me until they played "insert song" - STOP GOING TO SHOWS. You obviously havent been paying attention bc both nights are a snapshot of where this band is at right now, the fucking top of their game! Looking forward to Deer Creek and some more "good good times" (hopefully, fingers crossed) and maybe some "crazy easy" times as well! P.S. Stand UP is a spectacular Album and fuck you if you dont agree! #truefansince95 #over40shows

This would be a 5 except I've never been a more f'ng crowded pit in my life. I attended many of the first come first come serve baseball stadium shows a few years ago and I had more and felt less cramped when then entire outfield was essentially a pit. It was oversold and under- securitied. Anyway Dave was silly on Jimi thing, best vocals I've heard from him in 10 years. Love the John Denver take me to tomorrow and while I don't like the song, best drive in drive out ever.

I really hate to complain about shows, because there is only so much they can play on a given night, but considering the kind of n1 we had, I'll say this, I was expecting n2 to be a little more rare. In total this weekend I got 5 songs I've never heard before, not including the cover songs. I was really expecting more rare songs in the electric set. For one summer, I would really like to see a show with nothing but songs they never play. They have such a huge catalog of songs, they could mix it up a little bit better. It would be very interesting to see what they could do with them. In 2013 I got Sleep to Dream Her at Scranton, so thats something. Was still a great show, just was expecting more. I never have a bad time though. Its always a good good time!

Pretty disappointing show considering what they normally do at Camden. Acoustic set was great. Just cannot get over the start to that electric set. To start with Spacebread, Save Me, Write A Song, and Belly Belly Nice was just a fuck you to their true fans. Nobody wants to hear the constantly played 41 and Grey Street after that. Show basically started with the 8th song, Say Goodbye. Inexcusable!!! To end with Two Step after they played it yesterday did not make any sense. They also closed with it the year before. No imagination on Dave's part tonight. Left Camden with a taste of shit in my mouth after that generic show.

One song off Before These Crowded Streets (possibly the great album ever) for a 2 night run? You got to be kidding me. This show would have made the casual fan that does not know much about the band and their best songs happy. Basically, it was their catalog of radio hits, which are predominantly their worst songs. Spaceman into Cornbread to begin the main set was comical. I almost vomited due to how miserable and painful the start of the show was. You can tell even the rest of the band members were disgusted with how lousy of a setlist Dave wrote.

Most ambivalent I've ever been about a show. This show was by no means mediocre or bad, but by no means was it epic or even great. Not for lack of playing, they got offstage at 11:15, not for lack of playing oldschool stuff, I mean, 6 songs from Crash, right?... but there was something missing We all felt it yesterday in the pit, something was just... off. Yeah sure you can blame the absurd Spaceman opener, blame the fact that nothing from BTCS was played, or blame the go-to #41, Jimi, and Two Step, you could even blame the 2 repeats from N1, but I told my friend later, you could put The Stone in Spaceman's spot, and The Last Stop instead of Two Step, and though the setlist would have been epic something was still just... off. I think it's a combination of things, including a weak opener that offset the crowd and I think the band too, there was a little bit of laziness in setlist construction, and variety from N1 (they have so many songs they could play!) and the energy was not quite peak, but I do believe it is our expectation at N2 Camden always WOWs, and this show while solid did not wow. But this is my 40th show, and my worst offenders weren't played (You & Me, Shake Me), my favorite song LIOG closed the acoustic set in epic fashion, ending my 19 show run of lack of LIOG (going back to 2008, and yeah I did say is my favorite), I got to complete UTTAD with Pay For, and Say Goodbye, , DIDO, Paul Simon Cover, Bartender show opener, and Granny show closer are all hits. And while I am tired of 41, Jimi, and 20 minute Two Step closer, they're all great great songs. This show was better than average, if not great, and I can still find a reason to fly back home to Philly for a show with my buddies even after all these years, still a Good Good Time

This band has really started to come together over the past few years. They've really tightened up their sound, and seemed to have brought back that feel of dramatic-tension to their music. I enjoyed this one. Two Step at the end was excellent as was 41, say goodbye, Minarets, and LIOG. Belly Belly Nice was awesome! Thank you Camden, always a good time.

Far too many casual fans around us took away from the atmosphere in our section, but show was good overall. After N1, the boys seemed to be on a slow burn for set #1 and early part of set #2. Good show overall but don't recommend sitting in 100 or 104 unless you're on the inner aisle.

Woke up this morning to read the reviews of last night's show. The band was tight and Dave's voice was strong. Clearly they were enjoying themselves. It was his 1000th..they were recording..most definitely..Standing against the rail in front does influence what you hear and see. What I saw was one of the best bands of our time play their hearts out and have a good good time. Thanks DMB. You make me happy...oh and Boyd's solo during Lie in our Graves was unmatched..just incredible

I'm just kinda setting the record straight on this show. The energy was through the roof. Just like they always do and always will do they played what they wanted when they wanted and obviously had a very good time doing it. Anytime dmb bookends a weekend with two step, you just had a pretty good weekend. These dudes ripped and shredded and danced and sang tonight haha. Awesome show. Spaceman cornbread opener electric set. I never seen it so I bet u haven't either. If u don't like those tunes then u can't dance. Yeah I'm talking to you. Acoustic set great idea and a good time every show, I mean who opens for themselves? Greatest band in the whole damn land. Above average Saturday night. 1000th show? Or something? Electric night. Electric pit. Electric band. Electric performance. #checkmycrudentials
