Show #32 since 03' and first weekend set at Alpine. WOW! Surpassed expectations and like SPAC, Deer Creek, & the Gorge there is something very special about this experience. Both nights were amazing and it blows your hat off with how the crowd & band feed off of each others energy; I've sung Jimi Thing but never that far in. Solid acoustic set with Belly Full, Cry Freedom, & favorite The Stone my highlights. Snuck into the pit for set II and was gifted with Seek Up to open the set and it always takes you away to that special place in your mind. DDTHW, Minarets delivered all that you could ask for and I like how Gravedigger has fit into the rotation. Could not have asked for anything more and definitely top five all time. See you in Colorado. Be well.

Show #40. It's hard to compare shows over 15+ years. That being said, the energy and setlist was absolutely ridiculous. If you have a complaint about this show, no offense, I would rethink your DMB alliance. Strong accoustic set, better electric set, and, best encore all tour. Alpine N2 wins hands down, best show all tour.

Both shows this weekend were incredible. Somehow Dave was able to cook up a show that was able to match N1's performance, if not top it. The fans were great and the band was feeding off the energy all weekend long. Great first experience at Alpine!

Longest show in terms of song time in DMB history!!!

User: Denver755

37th show for me. Absolutely in my top 5. Why: -the length (60 min. Acoustic set, only 30 minute set break, which is very short comparatively, and then about 2:10 worth of electric and encore sets. Certainly one of the longest shows of the tour.) -Crowd participation and Dave's willingness to be wooed into Thank You via #41 sing along. Absolutely awesome to have that kind of energy. Similar vibes from the audience on Fools Rush In during set 1. -rare song selections like Let You Down, Belly Full (Tour debut, I think) Cry Freedom, Sister, Halloween -Rashawn and Jeff were on fire. Their Seek Up lines were extremely tasteful. -Tim is always awesome. Tonight was no different. -Boyd actually played somewhat original solos tonight, and was reasonably entertaining musically, but stepped it up with some wild dance moves. -Dave putting on the big green sunglasses was a treat! -Allowing crowd to sing the vast majority of Jimi Thing sans lead vocals from stage. This was my 4th show at Alpine. Even though it's a 6-7hr drive, I'll be adding this venue to my annual repertoire of must-go venues.

Music was phenomenal...setlist was AMAZING....was one of the smallest crowds I've ever seen at a Alpine DMB show but the ones who were there were hardcore fans and gave their all! I was in section 203 row XX seats 90 and 92....After being in the pit yesterday it was hard to feel the momentum I felt in the pit plus I was around a bunch of lame people that didn't do anything but stand there....so that was a bummer....but my biggest disappointment of the night was the turnout in the lawn.....it was SOOOO empty....I figured me and my gf would walk up to the lawn but there was SOOOO much empty grass area (I'm used to those DMB concerts at Alpine where even finding a grass area is hard.....but overall the band was top notch and operating on all cylinders....I give both those aspects an A....crowd participation B....amount of fans in venue D....the encore was AMAZING....overall I give the show a rating of 4 stars out of 5.

Wow what a great show. Saturday was great, but Sunday was even better. The guys were really feeling it. The crowd was amazing and the band met and exceeded crowds energy. Been coming to Alpine for 15+ years, and it's great to have the boys back. It was apparent they felt the same way.

My 42nd show and 17th at Alpine. This place is the best! Over 2 nights, I heard 52 songs (with no repeats)and about 7 hours of music - are you kidding me? In the acoustic set, Let You Down and The Stone were fantastic, however Cry Freedom was the one that did it for me. This is one of their best songs (yet not well known), and I had only heard it played once before. I always forget about it, but it is gorgeous. Going into the night, I wanted to hear Billies and Minarets in the 'power' slots, but even though they weren't there, I got them both anyways! Adding 'Thank You' was awesome - it's an Alpine treat! The oneness with the crowd was pretty evident by this point in the show and I have found those are some of the best shows, when the crowd and band are just in-sync with one another. I was also hoping for Two Step electric and got that too - right into the dark, angry Halloween! Alpine is special every single year. I am really concerned that they don't do 2 nights again, based on the Sunday crowd, however I am hopeful Country Thunder was the reason for that.

I'm pretty sure it was the setlist, the people I was around, the energy of the band and crowd, and the fact they ditched two songs to play Thank You and the Two Step into Halloween, but this is arguably the greatest show I have been to out of 32!!! The energy was so high and the entire band just killed it, especially Boyd, and most of the fans at Alpine are true, old school fans. The fact I heard Let You Down, one of the first DMB songs I learned, just blew me away. And Cry Freedom was a great surprise. Even after all these years and all these shows, the boys still find a way to surprise me. Here's to 2016!!

This rivals night 2, 2012 for the best show I have seen. The band sounded really good. I have never seen a crowd influence a show to such an extent and I mean that in a good way. Show highlights for me were Cry Freedom, Stone, gravedigger and of course the two step into Halloween finish. I walked out of Alpine with a real shit grin on my face. Well done boys

By the time the concert was done, this band had wrecked me. The crowd was absolutely incredible. While overplayed at this venue, it was still plenty fun to hear the crowd singing "Thank You" at the end of #41, essentially forcing the band to oblige, with Dave adding "it's your show, now!" The Two Step into Halloween was killer. The crowd singing essentially the entirety of Jimi. This is what Alpine Valley is all about. I'm so glad to have been back after 5 years for a full weekend.

Only my 3rd show ever (2nd was the previous night) but this one is going to be hard to beat. Seek Up starting set II, Thank You instead of You & Me was a godsend, the sing-along Jimi Thing, Two Step right into Halloween to close, The Stone, the incredible 6 song run of Minarets, Gravedigger, DDTW, #41, Thank You, and You Might Die Trying. this show set the bar very high. Also, no Ladies or guests for either show. Just the band and the fans for 3 and a half hours each night. That alone also made the whole weekend special.

Overall, I enjoyed this show much more than N1. Sure, the crowd was one of the smaller ones I've ever seen at Alpine before. The lawn was about half full. Fine by me...less drunken douches to compete with in the bathrooms and beer lines. This was a show of firsts...first Beach Ball, Let You Down, Belly Full and Minarets. Start to finish, this was a show for the fans. Dave got lots of crowd influence and ran with it. He even said, 'Hey, it's your show.' The run from Minarets to the end of the set might just be the best 9 song stretch all tour. The crowd sang Jimi Thing nearly in its entirety and getting Thank You instead of You & Me was just fine...and that encore was extremely satisfying. Two Step --> Halloween was crazy awesome. Disappointed I have to wait another year for my Alpine fix.

The show was very good (any show without the Worthless Bitches gets a huge bonus in my book). However, Night 1 definitely blew this show out of the water. There was definitely a lot of trash in the electric set Night 2: Belly Belly Nice, Thank You, Digging a Ditch, Sister, Black and Blue Bird, and You Might Die Trying, along with songs I have heard far too often: DDTW, 41, Jimi Thing, Grey Street, and Two Step. Still, Seek Up, Minarets, and Halloween are some of their best songs. The acoustic set was also very good, despite the fact that those songs would have sounded way better if they were played like normal electrically. Overall a solid 4 stars. Night 1 was just ridiculous.

Strong show! The acoustic set was way better than the electric set for me. I've seen too many of those electric songs too many times of the last few years. Not as many songs as I was chasing like N1 had, BUT performances and energy levels were insane from both the band and crowd! Everyone around us was having such a great time and into the show. This band played the hell out of Alpine this weekend. Boyd is my MVP. He not only had excellent solos, his energy on stage was crazy, even when he wasn't playing (#41 during Tim's solo especially). This band. This entire weekend reminded me why I'm such a big fan of both the band and Alpine.

VIP Box #7 for Wife\'s BDay. Dead center and across from Dave. Two step, #41 and Halloween... need I say more? OK... The Stone, Seven, Gravedigger, Don\'t Drink the Water, Jimi Thing, Grey Street, Tripping Billies... oh yeah and an almost 20 minute Seek Up... Dave loves Alpine and rightfully so. N1 had a uniquely rare setlist with a larger crowd but N2 was one hell of a gift from this amazing band to a smaller audience with no lack of energy compared to N1. BTW the railing on VIP almost came down.., yeah, we wrecked the shit out of this party!!! Just saying... N2 reminded me of N3 at the Caravan in Chicago where the energy in the pit was unmatched of any other show until now. Boyd was epic, especially on N1. Gorge next year and no doubt Alpine every year. I can\'t deal with these Alpine withdrawals... I need more G\'damn it!!
