More like a really good 3 and three quarters since last night was a 4. The rain sucked, didn't care for hunger or mercy. Ashamed to admit that pnp/rapunzel was a closer I'd seen before, so I made a break for the lot to get to nearby bar for ufc, like an idiot had to listen to a great Halloween version from the parking lot.

After N1 of WPB 2015 I didn't think there was a chance N2 could top it. It came really close if not. I think as an overall show N2 was much better, but I have a soft spot for Captain, and that acoustic Captain is one of my favorite performances I've ever seen. Aside from that, this show was amazing start to finish. Couldn't have asked for a better acoustic set. We got rarities such as Pay for What You Get and Loving Wings, and we got some really awesome performances out of Lie in our Graves and Best of What's Around. A pretty solid electric set that ended with an amazing performance of Drunken Solider, followed by the best YMDT I've ever heard. Not a huge fan of that song but DAMN! I've never seen dave so emotional before. His face was beat red and he was screaming on the top of his lungs (think early Halloween and American Baby intro). My mom was with me at this show (her first dave show) and she was actually scared from his yelling (and the Halloween encore didn't help her case.) And the best encore I've ever seen to finish an already great show. They came out with a reprise of the Lie in Our Graves which was played in the acoustic set with an abrupt ending. The Graves reprise went straight into Pantala >> Rapunzel and then straight into a heavy Halloween closer. The acoustic set and encore of this show are what made it so great. Fantastic show.

Thee best show I've ever been to in my Life!! Yes it wasn't a crazy selection of songs but Daaaammm they killed every one of them!! And they knew it which is why they decided to write in Halloween as a closer!! Boyd even danced and jumped on top of the speakers..

This was a pretty standard Saturday night crowd-pleaser. Before the end of the encore, they really didn't dig terribly deep to find songs for the setlist, but what made it so great was how much they were putting into the performance. On its own, "Hunger for the Great Light" is generally one of my least favorite tunes, but if they keep playing it the way it was last night, and I won't raise much of a fuss. Nancies > Warehouse and SMTS > ATSB > Too Much have both been done a thousand times, but, again, they keep playing them like that, I won't say no. Another great acoustic set, with that absolutely ridiculous LIOG, tour debut of Loving Wings, and a solo LBV to start. Great people around us in the lots (after the maelstrom that nearly blew away our canopy) and in the venue. Took my friend to his very first show, and all I can say is, he's a lucky bastard: he got four from UTTAD (his favorite) AND Halloween on the first time out of the gate!?! I think we've got ourselves another convert. Me, I'm more than satisfied with this weekend. Would rank this one a little lower than N1 with Branford, but this was a nice cap to my only two shows of the summer.

By far the best version of Lie In Our Grave I have ever heard. Boyd jumped up on the speaker. I have never seen that in all my shows. Great selection of songs. I heard my favorite Dancing Nancies so that always leaves me feeling good. The weather held out and the crowd was great. Besides during LIOG, there was no other moment when the crowd really went nuts. Crowd vibe helps make the show.

Best start-to-finish show I've seen in a while as I inch towards my 100th show! This was number 97. Boyd's energy on LIOG was spectacular. Granny opening the electric set was a treat (my wife's favorite), dedicating Mercy to the Sotloff family was tremendously classy, and Halloween to close the WPB weekend was quite a memory.

Classic DMB show, they seemed so relaxed and in good spirits on this closer of the major portion of the summer tour. Might have been harder to decide 4 or 5 stars but my photo of Boyd playing on top of the monitor speaker reminded me of that solo and tilted it to 5.

Loving Wings was an unexpected treat, but really a lot of standard (yet awesome) songs that were just played SO badass tonight. I heard YMDT tonight but I swear that gets better every time I hear it live. Also a big fan of Drunken Soldier. But when we were FAR over curfew going into the encore, I knew they could mail it in with a LIOG reprise, Pentala Naga Pampa into Rapunzel closer... but I made a deal... that if he didn't close with that.. if he gave us one more song, whatever it may be, and the boys delivered. They killed it with Halloween and capped off an amazing Saturday in West Palm. Bad. Ass.
