Rented a minivan in Nashville. I drove down to Atlanta with my wife and older daughter (1&1/2 years old) to meet our friends who flew to Atlanta from Maryland (my friend, his wife and their daughter - almost 2&1/2 years old). We stayed downtown and did all the fun tourist stuff during the weekend (The Varsity, World of Coke, Georgia Aquarium). Then my buddy and I did the show Saturday night...almost did not get there in time for the show (parking and security were terrible), but we made it. I even saw an old co-worker of mine a couple of sections over before the start of the show. We had great seats in Section 103! Raven and Sugar Will were highlights. And Halloween in the encore had a nice reverb echo that Tim put on the ending...even after they were all off the stage you could hear it! We all drove back to Nashville the next day, and unfortunately I got a speeding ticket on I-75 going through Marietta. :( Oh well, still a great weekend!

The quality was outstanding. Unfortunately the setlist was pretty poor in my humble but very biased opinion. A few gems and amazing guests redeemed the show somewhat for me, but still one of my least favorite shows I've been to. Again though, incredible sound even by DMB standards.

Great guests. Satellite is not usually a song I\\\\\\\'m happy for but Jimmy was incredible. The only way I will tolerate a Jimi Thing is with a guest so that was nice to see. Definitely lulled toward the end and too be honest I thought Ants would be the last for time purposes so I was pissed that Halloween was going to get away once again but it didn\\\\\\\'t. Despite him mumbling through the whole song it was still halloween. No halloween this is a 4

Memorial Day weekend rolls on into the deep south down I-85 into “Hotlanta” my first time getting back to “Bakewood Amphitheater” since the famed July 4th Phish fest back in 99. Bakewood is laid out perfectly with ample lot space, a great relaxed vibe, and one of the better venues east of the Mississippi. Another incredible evening graced the holiday weekend as the band stepped up and busted out a WAREHOUSE, 2nd time that I have ever heard WH open a show, another tour favorite follows with Jane LIKES, SQUIRM emerges again, and we already have two Charlotte repeats. Next up was a very slow, morbid track called Death on the high seas, my first time hearing it, no really opinion on it, after one replay I am staring to dig it. I always enjoy the band mixing things up. A really poor version of Why I AM followed, setting the stage for one of the nights highlights MINARETS, I loved the Carter rap prior to them dropping into this, not as long a Minarets as I would have hoped for. The beautiful SAMURAI COP takes the 7 spot, this song gets better each time, it is one of the best songs that has been created in a long time and will be a big marker of the 2016 campaign. It is that good! CRUSH, crushed the vibe and provided a nice break, made it back perfectly to my seat as one of the biggest surprises in DMB history was about to take place Jimmy mf Herring sits in! Mind is blown…I am a huge WSP fan, and getting to see this epic event take place in Atlanta really tops off the weekend. Dave butchers has name as he introduces him , however JH was all business on stage….Epic versions of RAVEN , SATELLITE, and a SUGAR WILL that made you think you were seeing Phish, DMB & WSP all at the same time…..what a three song treat this was. A big GREY ST followed by CRASH, a really energetic YMDT with a great Dave scat towards the end closed the show. The Boyd fest on Ants sent me grooving to the lots. This was a great show, for whatever reason the band was a off on a musicianship level tonight, songs flubbed a bit and some of that annoying Reynolds noisy guitar mixed with the horns was too prevalent. Not sure why Herring was not highlighted more and allowed to shine. Thank you for an amazing weekend DMB, two very very strong shows in Charlotte> Atlanta

Another show that was above average. Flow was sort of off. Up and down and up and down. Going to back to back night and hearing the new songs again is sort of annoying. Good bathroom break. But otherwise, always fun to see the boys. The guests were great. Jimi was fun. Sort of truncated if I remember correctly, which I welcome with open arms. Raven!!! Love this song. Glad to have heard it. Mid set grey street always welcome as well. Love crash. Love YMDT, but I hate it as a closer. Halloween was fun as always. Here's my one big complaint. I feel like the band rushes through the set towards the end of the night. Curfew has been pushed both nights I saw them this year. Deer creek gets 11:30. If these other venues are earlier, why doesn't the band go on at 8 at the latest. It's frustrating to see them rush through the end of the set due to this time constraint that they create.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but the Halloween from tonight was pretty basic. Dave just literally mumbled throughout. It was great that they tour debuted Raven, but again Dave kind of screwed up the lyrics a little bit throughout. Overall good show, not the best, but it was solid. Hey I can say I\'ve seen Halloween live finally!

Good show! (#51 for me.) The run from Crush through Jimi Thing was fantastic. (JT was ridiculous and blew the roof off the place.... definitely a highlight.) So cool to hear Raven again! The guest guitarist Jimmy Herring was incredible and had a great tone. Made Satellite, Raven and Sugar Will all stand-out performances. My first time hearing Death On the High Seas... cool little tune that I dug a lot. Also, my first full band Halloween! I saw Dave and Carter perform it as a duo at Allstate Arena in 2000, but never the whole band until last night. Awesome segue right out of Ants (which was another highlight... out of the 21 times I have heard Ants performed live, this was the most unique version). Overall, really fun night of great music!

Hot time summer in the city! Always am amazed that this venue continues on as Atlanta\\\'s main shed - just so old feeling and in a sketchy area. That said - my 70th show was amazing! Full on rocking from start to finish. Had a great time tailgating - seems to be approaching burgettstown levels of fun in the lots the last few years. Grey Street YMDT and Ants ---> Halloween left me smiling for days after the show. Next one I have tickets for is not until San Diego at the end of august - i think i will be looking for some more shows to hit in June/July...

My 40th show, and Halloween was sort of my white whale, so I was somewhat blown away because I never thought that I'd catch it. This show was night and day compared to the Little Rock show on 5/18 - both good, but VERY different energy levels. This one seemed to be much more tight and high energy, and I would love to give it 5 stars, but I do have one huge complaint - This really doesn't have to do with the band, but I've seen DMB at this venue at least 12 times, and I can honestly say that I downright hate this place. The staff is confused, unhelpful, and very unorganized. This mostly because they are from a staffing company, and they usually aren't familiar with the venue. There were outrageously long lines to get in right up until show time (there usually are here), and even though I arrived at the venue at 6:15, I wasn't able to retrieve lounge passes and get into the venue until 7:45. And, I'm not sure what it was about this crowd, but as one person posted, they were obnoxious, angry, and rude. Literally saw 3 fights break out... one during Satellite - Really?!!! Maybe it was the crowded pit, long lines, venue staff, but this crowd was VERY abrasive. Whatever group of people draped in the American flags near the right of the pit was incredibly aggressive - one girl tried to rip a lounge sticker off of my shirt when I passed her. Thankfully, some other fans stopped her - and these fans were the great fans that are the kind that I love - having fun, good natured, and just good people in general - that's been 99% of everyone I've ever met at a DMB show... but for some reason (maybe the venue fuels this fire) the crowd sort of killed it for me. The Alpharetta venue and their staff is always spectacular in comparison. I really wish they would move the shows there.

Such a kicking show! The Ants Halloween close was a dream. Raven and Grey St were on point as well. Band is riding on some positive momentum. Really thought Carter and Dave killed it last night. Can\'t wait for more. Solid 5/5 for my sixth show ever. More to come! Hope everyone enjoyed it as well, Lakewood is quite the underrated venue

Strange flow to the night, lot of good songs and strong performances but every time the energy got going the band would play a slower song and bring it back down. Never seemed to really get in a flow. Return of Raven was nice, reaaly like Samurai Cop, nice little song, and a great encore of Ants into Halloween! Show #37 and finally got to see Halloween! Highlight of the night for me!

Very solid show that I thought was going to come to a screeching halt at the end with only one encore. While the Jimi Thing > Sexy M.F. might not be a highlight on paper, they killed it with David Sanchez last night. Really cool jam the three of them did in the horn section. Jimmy Herring killed it, and I got a Raven for the first time in 16 shows, that was the highlight of the night for me....Until that Halloween closer after the sweet Jam that ended Ants. All that said, no complaints on my end! EDIT: After listening, Dave really fucked up the beginning of Why I am. I noticed at the show, but didn\'t know it was that bad.

Some strong versions of songs, but the setlist kept slowing the show down just when it seemed the show would take off. Death on the High Seas really brought the show to a halt, and it seemed like it was picking back up with Why I Am and Minarets, but then Samurai Cop happened. Crush picked back up with Jimmy Herring on the next three songs, with a tour debut Raven and a great outro on Sugar Will. Grey Street kept it going, but Crash really slowed it down again. Good Jimi with David Sanchez, but once again the vibe got taken down with Bob Law and then You and Me. The Encore Ants->Halloween sounded as great as it looks on paper. All in all, it was a solid show, definitely not my favorite that I have seen, but Raven, Satellite, Sugar Will with Jimmy, the Jimi with David, and the Encore are worth a listen.
