2009 Official AntsMarching.org After-Party

For the past seven years, antsmarching.org has been the driving force behind countless friendships, numerous get-togethers, and even romance. Flags have been flown, tails have been gated, and before we all knew it, we had a community larger than most cities.

Last year, we threw our first Official AntsMarching.org After-Party at the PGA National Resort in West Palm Beach, FL. It was a massive success and all anyone could ask by the end of the night was, "When's the next one?" We now have your answer. What better place to promote community and celebrate the band we all love, than right where it all started, in DMB's hometown of Charlottesville, VA? We are hereby inviting you to our second annual official AntsMarching.org After-Party at Mono Loco, Charlottesville, VA immediately following the Friday night show at John Paul Jones Arena.

Mono Loco is "Charlottesville’s original nouveau-Latin restaurant. Bringing together the exotic and the local, Mono Loco blends the New World tastes of Latin cuisine with vibrant, fresh, local (and—whenever possible—organic) food, including 'The Best of What’s Around™' produce." AntsMarching.org will be providing a generous spread of food from Mono Loco's delicious menu that promises to satisfy the most demanding of palettes.

Thanks to help from Dave Matthews Band and their management team at Red Light Management, we were able to secure access to some rare recordings from way back in DMB history, and that will serve as our background music to set the mood. We're extremely excited about getting to hear some fresh recordings from way back in the vault!

In addition to Mono Loco, we have partnered up with Starr Hill Brewery, a local business known for their excellent craft beers and dedication to the local music scene, to bring you some amazing deals on drinks, a special only afforded to AntsMarching.org members. The Love, Starr Hill's seasonal hefeweizen, will be available for just $2. Normally only available from May through August, The Love is distinguished by its extremely light body and flavored with hints of banana and clove. The locally infamous brew Pain Killer will also be available; it's only made in small batches for special occasions, and it will be available exclusively for Ants!

We are also pleased to announce that some additional establishments in the area have partnered up with Mono Loco, Starr Hill and AntsMarching to extend specials exclusively to AntsMarching.org members! Ten Sushi, Blue Light Grill & Raw Bar, and The Box are all offering Ants exclusive specials on drinks! In order to get in on the specials, you must first stop by Mono Loco and get your AntsMarching.org bracelet, and display it at your establishment of choice. Each restaurant is within easy walking distance from Mono Loco.

Just like our first party, with the generous help from The Warehouse, we are planning giveaways, contests, and even plan to broadcast the party LIVE on ustream.tv! Talk about the shows, meet up with fellow Ants, whatever suits you. Eat, Drink, and Be Merry! And thank you for helping make antsmarching.org the #1 music community on the Internet! Thanks to The Warehouse and Tim Reynolds, we will be giving away the following goods:

  • A Steve Keene Painting
  • Two complete sets of Live Trax Volumes 1-14
  • Two Flower Sax Shirts
  • Two Mile High CDs
  • Two Piedmont Park DVDs
  • Two DMB 2009 Calendars
  • Five DMB Aluminum Water Bottles
  • Three bottles of Blenheim Wine signed by Dave Matthews
  • An autographed copy of TR3's new CD Radiance
  • And the grand prize...A copy of Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King, autographed by Dave Matthews himself!

Disclaimer and Miscellanea: Due to Virginia laws, no outside alcoholic beverages may be brought onto the premises. We're representing the community, in the band's hometown no less, so let's put on a good face. We ordered a lot of food, but we might run out. We plan on tearin' the roof off the sucka'.
