most amazing show of my life. thank you so much for recording.

06-22-2008, 02:29 PM
I can always download these things, but they never play for me.. :shrug

06-22-2008, 02:55 PM
You need to convert them to MP3/wav or something.

06-22-2008, 03:02 PM
I can always download these things, but they never play for me.. :shrug

You should download winamp. It plays the flac format and you can convert to wav for recording also.

06-22-2008, 03:03 PM
This was the best show that I have ever been to!!!! Thank you so much!

06-22-2008, 03:12 PM

06-22-2008, 05:02 PM
this was the best show i've ever seen! ...ever

06-22-2008, 05:02 PM
get bitrocket and xact, then google each one to figure out how to use the, its real easy, and it works on a mac

06-22-2008, 05:08 PM
does anyone know why when I click on the attached file to download it, it takes me to a new screen where I must click a link. I then click the link, it gives me a message about making sure you seed the torrent, and then it opens up a new window. In this window it asks me to log in, which i do, but then nothing happens. it just keeps asking me to log in?

06-22-2008, 05:17 PM
This show was AMAZING! #41 is my FAVORITE song and this was the first time I heard it at a show!!!! Thank You!

06-22-2008, 05:32 PM
still having problems with this. I have a pc and I want to listen to it as an mp3 how do i convert it?

06-22-2008, 05:43 PM
I'm hoping West Palm will be as "epic" as this show supposedly is. Thanks so much for posting so fast! :hump
Once you get WinAmp you need to switch the settings to DiskWriter (It's under Options-Preferences-Output. Then select a folder you want to save it in. That will get it to .wav format when you hit play in WinAmp.

06-22-2008, 07:02 PM
I'm trying to dl this show now....my best buddy and my sister were there... im extremely jealous ...can't wait to listen to this show

06-22-2008, 07:16 PM
im sorry i am still not able to do this. maybe its my comp. when i save it or download it what should i save the file as? and also is it normal that the file downloads in liek 2 seconds? Cause i changed the settings and when i hit play in winamp it says it is not compatible.

06-22-2008, 07:25 PM
If some has this saved as an mp3 and would be willing to email it to me let me know and ill give you my email. thanks.

06-22-2008, 07:30 PM
Yeah... I downloaded winamp to and this is still not working on my computer? Is anyone having any luck?

06-22-2008, 07:32 PM
I was supposed to go to this one as well, but I'm glad you were there...thanks

06-22-2008, 08:27 PM
Well I have heard a lot of good things about this show, so I want to check it out for myself...I can't wait for 7/1, 7/2 and 7/4!!!

06-22-2008, 08:54 PM
this is for the people having trouble with flac, if you have winamp, download this plug in http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details/131643 , this will allow you to play flac files in winamp, as mentioned above diskwriter will allow you to form WAV files which can be placed on CD, please do not distribute in lesser formats though, ie mp3. Hope this helps!

06-22-2008, 08:58 PM
when i click save it saves as a torrent file. its .torrent. so im not sure what im doing wrong.

06-22-2008, 09:01 PM
you need to have a torrent download manager system, ie. www.bittorrent.com , this will then allow you to download the files, one you have bittorrent or whatever program you like installed, you can double click the saved torrent file and this will open the file for download.

06-22-2008, 09:09 PM
Leaving the torrent up for the past 9 hours ive had over 39GB of Total Uploads :eek lotsa people downloading!

06-22-2008, 09:23 PM
Just wanted to thank the taper for taking the time to do something that benefits us greatly as dmb fans!

06-22-2008, 09:42 PM
For the people saying it takes 2 seconds to download and then won't play, it sounds like you just have the torrent but haven't actually used a torrent download manager (I use Azureus/Vuze) to download the files. This can be confusing because (at least on my PC) when I download the torrent file it says its like 1 GB in size, but that seems to be just the space allocated on the disk for it. You won't be able to play the files until your torrent downloader opens and downloads the whole show. I am downloading this show now and am currently getting an estimate of about 30 minutes to download the whole show.

You can check how much you've actually downloaded by going to your Ants profile and scrolling to the bottom where your "BitTorrent Info" section is. This is updated something like every 20 minutes and shows how much you have up/downloaded for each show. If all you have is the torrent file, it will say 0 b. This is also useful to see what your share ratio is so you know how long you *should* keep seeding shows before you have paid the community back sufficiently.

06-22-2008, 10:00 PM
hey, can anybody help me out here, I downloaded winamp and the file, but when I import it into winamp it tells me its 0:00 seconds long. I also tried converting to WAV and still nothing. Hope somebody can help

06-22-2008, 10:00 PM
for those of you wanting to convert the .flac files to wav/mp3 on a mac

06-22-2008, 10:20 PM
how is the quality of this compared to the jason johnson release?

06-22-2008, 11:01 PM
^^this is what i was wondering.

06-22-2008, 11:24 PM
I have found that reading the "how to" instructions is helpful. After all, that's what they're for. If you can't figure it out, chances are you're not the only one, so Google it. It works every time. Props to Keith for recording a great show. Mac users should use xAct. It's simple. If you're not a Mac user, shoot your PC and go buy a Mac :cool. Dave would.

06-22-2008, 11:58 PM
Thanks for the fast turn around time. You guys are amazing! Soon you guys are going to be posting these shows from the parking lot sitting in traffic trying to leave the shows. Much love for all your tapers do for us.

I hope the Charlotte show is this amazing!

06-23-2008, 05:43 AM
Get xACT if you are using a mac. very simple to use. I just got done doing it.

06-23-2008, 07:44 AM
Thanks for the show.

06-23-2008, 11:54 AM
I downloaded the show with UTorrent and tried using Flac Frontend to convert to Wav or MP3 whichever one it does.

But when I hit decode on the Frontend it comes up with an error saying Flac.exe not found.

I used to use this program all the time with my previous computer with no problems.

I have Vista now, is there any other program I can use or is there a plugin for Vista...

Thanks anybody, I NEED to have this show to listen to.

06-23-2008, 12:18 PM
is it possible to download through frostwire or limewire?? because that's what my computer keeps attempting to do after i click download

06-23-2008, 12:27 PM

Somethings not said, are never heard. I am joining with most sending up our endless thanks for the hard work you put in to provide these shows at a high end quality of sound. I hope you recognize the huge impact you have in spreading the music and culture that is DMB. These sounds get to the masses and often represent some very personal experiences for those who enjoy them. Thanks for giving, and hope we can do the same in kind. Cheers.

If you have Toast, just drop the flac files in and it will provide you with a list of extensions, mp3, wav......etc...

06-25-2008, 09:11 AM
Thank You for taping the show! I listened to the first two discs on the way to work today, and the sound quality is phenominal! I was really hoping for a release of the show (i've haven't had any shows I've been too released ={) but the quality of this recording makes the need for a release mute. Thanks for lugging all your equipment around and posting these shows within 24 hours!

I'm getting an "invalid torrent file" when I try to download. I've tried this on bittorrent and utorrent on a couple of different torrents now with the same error. I've successfully downloaded before, do I need to change some settings? What do I need to do? Please help!!

07-23-2008, 07:14 PM
hmm, having trouble downloading torrent files too. the post says its a 21.2K but the file that gets saved to my local disk is only 4K. looks like they're getting truncated for some reason. everything has been working great until a few days ago. this seems to happen with any torrent I try.

I'm on mac, ff 3.0.1 or safari 3.1, makes no difference. using Xtorrent to download.

thanks in advance for your help! pre-apologies for any fat finger errors on my side! :)

07-23-2008, 10:15 PM

06-17-2015, 10:51 PM
Anybody know why they muted Roi's penny whistle during the "I saw light" added verse of Dreaming Tree in the official audio (released on Live Trax 2008)? Hadn't listened to fan audio of this show before right now and that new line hit me square in the face. I can see why they'd bring it down in the mix to let the new lyrics cut through but it seems odd to mute it completely if you're trying to truly reproduce a live performance.
