Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free.

We're like actors, turned loose in this world to wander in search of a phantom, endlessly searching for a half formed shadow of our lost reality. When others demand that we become the people they want us to be, they force us to destroy the person we really are. It's a subtle kind of murder. The most loving parents and relatives commit this murder with smiles on their faces.

Re: CTRL "V" thread

The world could have been a much different place, had the North been victorious. It could have been a world without slavery and a world where monarchies were antiquated. Had the South been defeated at Gettysburg a unified America could have rose from the blood soaked fields, instead of the fractioned jumble that did. But a twitch occurred. A young lieutenant rose above his office and defied nature and fate, he led the South up to an impossibly victory. The world was changed forever.

Jonathon Cross never dwelled on the “what could have been”. He was only thirteen years of age and the actual world held enough awe to suffice him. And oftentimes it held too much awe. He was a different boy than most, he was thoughtful and considerate, careful and patient. He found it difficult to find friends and girls found him nothing short of peculiar. He spent his days reading of science in the library of Fort Resistance and his nights staring into the stars. The world’s past and the world’s possible futures interested him little, but the world’s present held him spellbound.

The car lurched around a corner and Jonathon banged his head on the window he had been peering through. Ricky “Sixteen” glanced over at him with a touch of a smile on his lips.

Let Me Be
(Xavier Rudd)

Let me be now let me be
I want to be free now free to see
I want to walk away let me feel my feet
Let me be free

Time and time and time we see
These acts against humanity
Each for each and each will bleed
And shed blood for what they each believe
On and on and on we go
Some will you see and some won’t be
True to you and truth will lead
You to a sense of peace
