Dave to Play with Metallica in SF on 11/9
 
Just saw this on SFGate.com. A Benefit Show at AT&T Park in San Francisco for the North Bay Area Wildfires. Headlined by Metallica, but Dave to play as well.

I'm gonna try to go to this.

The site says Dave's name only: https://www.bandtogetherbayarea.org/

Edit: I suppose that could turn into a D&T thing. AT&T Park is pretty big for just Dave, not that he couldn't hold it down on his own.

Metallica sent out an email announcing the concert and it says Dave Matthews Band, I would assume its the band.....

I have a feeling that the Dave solo set is going to be the same cliche songs i.e. Mercy, Don't Drink the Water, Satellite, You and Me. Honestly if i lived in the bay area i would try to go for the other acts more than i would want to go see dave solo in 2017.

Other than the occasional private show/appearance, when was the last time Dave ever did a live set of songs Solo, i.e. w/o Tim or the Band?

Yes. I mentioned about a week ago in another thread that things were in motion to get Tim added.

Unlikely this was due to the benefit. He still has a show on 11/7/17 in NYC.

It seems they are having difficulty selling tickets for this event. They have dropped the vip price several times from $650 to $599 to $545 to $499. Also dropped uppers from $69 to $49. I would say half of the times I have checked there are still field tickets available.

There were some $49s in the uppers when I tried to get them through the Metallica fifth member doohickey (proper terminology, btw).

I dunno if that was exclusive to Metallica fans or that price has been there the whole time.
