Big Whiskey Is Now A Certified Platinum Album
 
The album has moved around 820,000 units, but has been certified platinum for shipments of 1,000,000 albums this week.

I know I'm preaching to the chior but I'll say it anyway. 2005 music industry is very different than 2009.

BWGGK did very well in 2009.

That's a good point. So many more people are getting music illegally today than in 2005 (not saying it wasn't present then, but much more prevalent today)

Aside from all that... :thumbsup to the band. Very happy to hear this news!

im sure we all know a bunch of people who wouldn't have heard BW at all if they weren't able to get it for free. add in all those burned and downloaded copies, and the album is probably at 1.4 million by now.
