I'm pretty sure it was a drum head. There was a 12 year old boy right next to me on the rail who came wanting desperately for Carter to sign it. It was a success, thankfully!
Carter wrote something like "never give up on your drums!". It was awesome! Then he gave the kid a fresh pair of drum sticks and told him to practice.
That kid isn't gonna stop playing anytime soon.
