point is, words aren't always pronounced phoenetically in English.
my post went way over you head. people that are trying to be hyper-grammatical in this thread have been incorrect. i was correcting some of the fallacies. february can be pronounced both the way you say is incorrect and the way you say is correct. and the guy that was getting on people for abbreviating et cetera incorrectly wasn't even abbreviating the correct word. that's the point.
and steve, "good" is an adjective and "well" functions as an adverb (in this case). I (subject) am (linking verb) good (adjective - subject compliment). I (subject) am (linking verb) doing (action verb) well (adverb).
