I jumped to catch a stick at one show and accidentally fell on the person who did catch it because I landed wrong.

Everyone thought I was attacking the person for the stick.

We are unlocked, so here's something I found a few days ago.

What I'm thinking is someone bought a bunch of blocks of rooms in advance which is why those dates could be full. They probably left a small amount of rooms for regular guests.

The original rumor in the 2018 thread said DMB in Mexico in February, and those dates seem to be almost booked up, so it jives with what the rumors have been saying.

But with the rumor that DMB will be there in February and this popping up now, it seems interesting.

You can buy them at most musical instrument retail locations, i.e. Guitar Center. Not the same as catching one from him, but most that he tosses out at shows weren't used during the set. I have a pair that I use for practice, they are a heavier gauge than I normally play but it helps me with dynamic control. Plus I feel as though I'm channeling Carter using his sticks.

I've always wondered about that, why couldn't people get together on here and try and throw together something - I'm sure there is enough pull with the community on this site that someone could get in contact with him and ask if enough people pulled their funds together could we get a show? I'd easily pay way more than $150 to see a exclusive ants show

Well tickets are already over $100 each now for a 15,000 seat venue...so get 10,000 of your closest friends together to commit...and you'll need a venue

It was tried before in around 2001, ask DMBZilla about it, if he still is on the boards. A venue in New Jersey was even locked down but management would let us pull the trigger.

Consider that he does private shows, just him, for $750,000 (reportedly) so add the rest of the band, his crew, etc. and you're never going to afford it.

My wife and I have always joked how awesome it would have been to have Dave play our reception. We would have asked for 4 songs.

The Song that Jane Likes......... My little sister is named Jane
You & Me ......... My wife's and sis-in-law's song

Yeah, and there have been 35-55 of those shows every year for the past 25 years (except a couple )

My point being, unless you have almost $1M to fork over for a private solo show for your wedding reception or something similar, the prospect of a private show is just never gonna happen

Ok so we say with venue and band for $1M or someone's farm where we can camp - get 2,000 people to pay $500 - is that outrageous? Or even two nights for $1000?
